Starwalker was a line of pens that Montblanc released in the 2000's. The scent came after the pens. Interesting list. I'm not sure that any ADG has ever been underrated. When they drop they sell many units. Every flanker seems to be used as disposables or finite revenue streams. In the maelstrom of fragrance if a flanker makes a ton it survives. I have a collection of over 70 fragrances and ADG EDP is in my top 3 favorites, there is something in it that just makes me keep sniffing it over and over, SO ADDICTING! (Some may smell some eggy smell in it, but i don't)
I just bought it and sprayed it once to get a nice feel for it.... it didn't last long at all... does it get better with time? My Dunhill custom is very weak for an edp too.
Thanks for confirming that there are or were 2 different versions of Acqua Di Gio Eau De Parfum. It's been so confusing with all of the different iterations and flankers. 🥴
I think it’s actually most comparable to Coach original or Coach Black. Opens slightly sweet but fresh and woody. Dries down more woody and slight Smokey or faint tobacco type scent
For me , a very underrated fragrance that is very mass pleasing , and can be worn in the Fall , Spring or Summer is Vince Camuto's Solare . It has a fresh , light, sweet , mandarin orange Creamsicle vibe , and automatically puts you in a great mood . Performance is tbh. just fair at 5-6 hours , but at under $25 , no big deal to respray or overspray .

Everyone was asking what it was so I showed them the bottle and let them spray themselves and take pictures and everyone was happy and smiling. I've never seen a reaction to a fragrance like that.

I did buy a large bottle of the new 2024 ADG Parfum and it doesn't last longer than about 45 minutes. It was a huge disappointment, but I'm very happy with the EDT especially cuz it's summertime right now.
FYI - That version of Roberto Cavalli has also been discontinued and replaced by a completely different square bottle design. The scent notes might be the same, but I'm not entirely sure.

The best way I've found to tell that'w what you are buying is it will likely say 3.38oz vs the old version style of 3.4oz. Lots of changes going on with fragrance companies lately from what I've noticed, especially with Roberto Cavalli being purchased recently.

I know this is a little late, but one frag I really love that is never mentioned (possibly cuz it's discontinued, tho when it was sub $25, it was never mentioned either) Halston Amber Man, ambery, a touch of oud, just beautiful
Narciso Rodriguez Blue Nior Parfum is in my opinion the BEST Iris freshie out there. It is my favorite Spring/Summer work fragrance. If you want something that works in high heat or the office Blue Noir Parfum is THE one.

Bleu de Noir, btw, while not intended to beast mode, is a very nice blue frag imo. And the Cavalli Uomo is in the same wheelhouse as Versace DB, but not as strong.
I'd personally switch Acqua Di Gio for Aroma Di Jean by Jean Yves, fraction of the price, costs less than £10 and smells about 95% identical to my nose. Peace from the UK!!

As an Older dude ... I used to use the Gentleman (1974) edition back in the day.
I originally wasn't crazy about the strong orange in ADG EDP, but it grew on me.. I think it's underrated as far as ADG goes, great stuff..
Mont Blanc Starwalker gets my vote! I would add Azzaro chrome and Versace Blue Jeans to the list. 👍

I feel that Dunhill driven black edp is severely slept on.

It smells extremely similar to The Most Wanted EDP Intense but a tad less quality

Lalique L'Insoumis is a very underrated fragrance IMHO, nothing else smells like it and it is very classy
Pasha De Cartier Edition Noire, is an underrated one to put your nose on, classic barbershop style scent,give it some love fellas!!!

The Cavalli Uomo comes in a new bottle now, in a EDP concentration. I scooped it up recently and it smells the same as the black bottle.
