IN MY OPINION I think caling out boring repetitive gameplay in "Dry Out" upside down section was kinda badly labeled. It is not really a bad game desighn choice. It helps you ease into the upside down gamemode in an easy to understand and play way. I understand that it feels bad to have it there as an only upside down section since does feel more like a gimmick for the level, but it is a major difficulty spike for new players and getting one dedicated section for it is better than having another one later in the level to frick up the player.
Hexagon Force is actually my favorite non-demon level (my real favorite level is deadlocked) because of many things. First, the colors and decorations are just so good, and the song absolutely slaps. The dual parts are the highlight of this level for sure, as although I can admit that the first dual cube kind of just throws you in without easing you to it that much, when you learn what to do these dual sections are just awesome. Even the non-dual sections are really fun, and though they are pretty easy it's still a blast to play. There's just something about Hexagon Force I love so much, and I don't know why. Great video btw!

what kind of odd argument for Hexagon Force, that the dual isn't used enough? I didn't do the math, but I think that most other introductions use arround the same amount of ~25% of it's new feature like TOE using the ufo, blast processing the wave, geometrical dominator the robot. Also the last clutterfunk part is nearly only mini, with like 2 switches happening... Also also, if you played the gd levels "in order" electrodynamix shouldn't be that hard after completing Clubstep, speeking of own experience, since the only actual hard part is the 3x speed ship, whis is only hard because it's 3x speed. And since you are "good enough" with the ship after beting clubstep this shouldn't be all that big of a deal.
Hexagon Force is my #1. I’m genuinely shocked that anyone could hate it so much to call it the second worst main level; at least for me, it’s the most fun main level there is, plus it uses my favorite main level song too.
My top five: 5-clutterfunk Bro clutterfunk is just good it introduces mini mode in one of the best ways possible and as u said it's ending is perfect 4-electrodynamix Bro, electrodynamix is just a freaking banger, it's music and it's sync it's one of the best in the game, and it also matches the music's vibe pretty well while introducing the speed mechanic too 3-TOE 2 Bro i just like TOE 2's music and it's really cool 2-hexagon force Bro hexagon force don't introduce the dual mechanic that well, but the slopes are introduced in the best way, like, you see the slopes in the first structures and you think what's that and then in the ship you just get your first direct contact with it, and just after it you see that it's super useful in the jumps for you. And i like how it changes it's deco style 1-deadlocked It's deadlocked bro, it's perfect
I think it is good that the community is sharing their opinions about dash. I think robtop will learn from his mistakes and hopefully the 2.3 level will keep the same art style and be consistent
My favorite level is defined Clutterfunk. It has so much personality and syncs so well with the music, and the difficulty progression leading to that last 15ish percent is just amazing. I also feel like Geo Dominator was way overrated here, there’s a lot of nothing gameplay and that memorization part is just awful lol
the "nothing gameplay" is actually fun, and syncs with the music, and ranking a level based on one part is shit lol geo dom is my personal top 3, along with electroman and deadlocked
Here’s my list of levels that should’ve been way higher: 1. Hexagon Force 2. Jumper 3. XStep 4. Time Machine 5. Dash (should be close to the top) 6. Fingerdash
17:16 putting a level down just because it introduces a gamemode that you think other people hate is stupid. Also that opinion on Hexagon Force not having enough dual is weird and not well thought of since literally only 2 levels after it have the dual and they use it only a quarter of what Hexagon Force uses.
Here's my personal worst to best list. 22.Cycles (basic example of horrible balancing, the ship is the only good part.) 21.Can't Let Go (yall know why it sucks) 20.Base after Base (Ditto) 19.Theory of Everything (Introduced worst gamemode and I hate the song due to oversaturation) 18.Clutterfunk (ok experience, level forgettable) 17.Time Machine (mirror portals and triple spikes) 16.Back on Track (the joke was never that funny) 15.Dry Out (decent intro to upside down gravity) 14.Stereo Madness (good introduction to the game) 13.TOE 2 (worst experience I had beating a robtop level, but there's not much inheritly wrong with it.) 12.Hexagon Force (duals ruined tbh) 11.Polargeist (sync is pretty good surprisingly) 10.Fingerdash (great, but fell off a bit after the ship part) 9.Clubstep (2nd half heavy, but still aged well kinda) 8.xStep (Underrated as hell, gameplay is great) 7.Dash (Similar to fingerdash, but it's not as much) 6.Electrodynamix (Suprisngly didn't rage that much) 5.Jumper (your opinion is slanderous) 4.Deadlocked (2.0 level that ages well surprisingly) 3.Geometrical Dominator (the memory part isn't hard, you just suck at sightreading) 2.Blast Processing (bwomp) 1.Electroman Adventures (Everyting works here, great song, sync, and deco.)
You're a disgrace. You put toe 2 below polargeist. You put electroman adventures higher than 8th. These are only a small part of the sins you have committed.
im sorry man but this ranking is more all over the place than how you see hexagon force is, and not only because of your opinions, but because of how inconsistent they are
Hexgon force is top 5 for me, even though the level is hard, it's the fun kind of hard, and when you get past 40% and the dual ball it feels so so good. Easy top 5.
Why hexagon force is the best 1. Electrodynamix is more messy than hexagon force 2. The name makes atleast a little sense 3. best soundtrack of all the robtop levels. Maybe explorers has better soundtrack but i think about it. 4. The mini ball part is not that hard. Its a insane level. Atleast something has to be hard right? 5. The 65% ship has good deco. 6. The ufo before beat drop (i guess?) Is bad because you just hate ufo gameplay. Its hard to make it fun so dont blame robtop for something that stupid. 7. the orb spam is predictable. I can sightread that. 8. If the last coin is a wall coin. Well. Almost every robtop level uses A wall coin so. Bro be happy that all the offline levels exist. 9. Cool block design for 1.7 level. 10. Dual introduction is not hard. Instead of going extreme with speed and portals. Its just 2× speed and dual and thats all 11. Slopes are satisfying 12. WATERFLAME SONG!! 13. Amazing deco. Its predictable if you can touch it or not. 14. Uses more colors. Like scarlet surge uses red and black and thats all. Its so unpredictable. 15. Just.. say something negative about hexagon force thats also true..
I'm gonna he as respectful as I can because I do have an extremely strong opinion on some of the thoughts shared in this video. So I'm just going to list out some issues with this ranking that I found. 1. New game mechanics should be rated based on how well they were introduced and integrated into the level, not by if the community likes the mechanic. It wouldn't matter if the addition doesn't add anything to the level, it's literally why updates need new levels, it lets players get used the mechanic, whether it introduces it well or not. For example, Time Machine introduces the mirror portal. And the gd community absolutely despises this mechanic. However, the level at first uses these portals sparingly, but towards the end throws much shorter mirrored sections at the player, ramping the difficulty up. Therefore, I believe Time Machine is a perfectly fine level and should've been rated much higher. But say something like Xstep, the blue pad is first seen in an automatic transition into a ship section, so it's not entirely clear how it works. And the blue orb is only used at like 80% and there's only 5 in the whole level not including coins. (And no, it would not have came off as filler. If you had added that in I would not be blabbering about this and spending and hour of my time tryna write this comment) 2. Forced parts aren't always bad. I'm the words of GD Colon,"It's literally how building a level works. Sometimes it's nice to have a part of a level that's just... a part of a level." For example, the final ball in TOE might feel a bit forced and unnecessary, but it's the gameplay is fair and readable, there's no reason to complain about it. 3. Levels should've been ranked based on what updates they came out in. Like, the first 7 levels that came with 1.0 were made in the... well... 1.0 editor. So there really wasn't too much to Rob's disposal when making this. Of course levels like Back On Track are boring nowadays, it's been a whole decade since then! If you had specified that this list included how well the levels have aged, I wouldn't have complained but... oh well. 4. You glossed over Time Machine's decoration. Considering this was made in 1.1 and there was not real "decoration" per se (expect for the chain things), the structuring looks quite pleasant and was far above anything that the 1.0 levels did. 5. Including the difficulties of the levels and complaining about them is the real polluter to the videos run time. This is a ranking of the levels themselves. Meaning taking things like decoration, gameplay, enjoyment... into consideration. So adding the difficulties adds nothing to the video. 6. Dash's decoration does not get worse after the sneak peak. You're just too busy complaining that you can't see the minor handplaced deco throughout the entire level. The ceiling in the build up room have little pieces of concrete falling from it, there's wind particles as soon as the level goes into 3x speed. It's just very consistent throughout the level. And now I have some more nitpick-y and personal opinions in the video. •Can't Let Go shouldn't be ranked so poorly. It's an enjoyable level. •UFO is underrated. •The beginning of Clubstep is like a buildup to the drop, where the difficulty spikes. In my opinion, this is a great way to introduce demons to the game. •"Hopefully my community feels the exact same way." Isn't this supposed to be a personalized list? •Hexagon force had to introduce slopes before throwing you into a dual. We had to be familiarized with slopes before duals so Rob couldn't focus on the dual right away. •Why are you praising Electrodynamix as a milestone but not Clubstep, the first official demon? •Cycles' cluster of spikes is supposed to be a sort of theme, and it's works perfectly fine, it doesn't look ugly and doesn't make the gameplay messy in any way. Well that was a lot of typing. If you made it this far, I really didn't expect you to but, thank you. I spent so much time writing this you have no idea. And Colours, if you are ,by some miracle, reading this, please note I'm not trying to shame you in any way. I just wanted to share your tips to make your videos a bit more relatable. Anyways, I'm not going to ask you to like or anything, just have a good rest of your day. 😉

This video does a great job at Ranking a level without any real information on why. This video does a bad job at making the viewer agree with your opinion. I feel that your explanations for some of these rankings are extremely lack luster, paired with the fact that the way you rank the levels are extremely inconsistent. You say some of these levels are "nothing burgers", but the lack of evidence to support your opinions makes this video feel like a nothing burger. Just my opinion tho 🤷
Saying a level is a nothing burger is perspective and what I value in a level which was discussed Ontop of that the last thing this video focused on was for people to agree with me lol.
Geometrical Dominator is the best level to ever existed imo, The level was Peak, the deco was Peak, the gameplay is perfect for me overall! I Iove the song, it matches perfect in every way! (especially the memory part) It's not rushed or anything, it fits the vibe of the best possible way to a song! I would like to also say about the colour choice cuz its perfect! Best level, not changing imo!
Can't Let Go's "gimmicks" with the jump pads doesn't make it increase in difficulty because it's showing the new player what jump pads are and how to use them/
I know this is an opinion but if you are talking about 1.0 levels, just know that there were no chains back then, and if you were trying to change the BG (background) color of a level, it would usually crash.

Yeah that argument he made was so stupid and disappointing because this is "Colours Gaming" we're talking about
My two favorite levels are Blast Processing and Fingerdash, mostly because of how much I love the Wave and the Spider
Hexagon force deserves at least top 5. I agree with pretty much everything else but hexagon force is a top teir level in my opinion.
6:07 imo xstep should be harder but still I think it’s quite a fun level to play, and that’s what I thought the first time I played it
Sadly i have to disagree. The song choice sucks imo
Hexagon Force is my #1. I’m genuinely shocked that anyone could hate it so much to call it the second worst main level; at least for me, it’s the most fun main level there is, plus it uses my favorite main level song too.
Same! Although its #2 in my list but still!
For me, Dash being at twelfth is just unacceptable. I love that level.
For me it has to be within the top 5, but I was a little dissapointed to see even the fanmade "Dash Destroyer" was better
Saying that dry out is a nothing burger is a crime
💔 I’m sorry
My top five:
5-clutterfunk
Bro clutterfunk is just good it introduces mini mode in one of the best ways possible and as u said it's ending is perfect
4-electrodynamix
Bro, electrodynamix is just a freaking banger, it's music and it's sync it's one of the best in the game, and it also matches the music's vibe pretty well while introducing the speed mechanic too
3-TOE 2
Bro i just like TOE 2's music and it's really cool
2-hexagon force
Bro hexagon force don't introduce the dual mechanic that well, but the slopes are introduced in the best way, like, you see the slopes in the first structures and you think what's that and then in the ship you just get your first direct contact with it, and just after it you see that it's super useful in the jumps for you. And i like how it changes it's deco style
1-deadlocked
It's deadlocked bro, it's perfect
Hexagon force is not that hard, electrodynamix is Much more difficult
Not the point of this video but yeah I do agree with you
I think it is good that the community is sharing their opinions about dash. I think robtop will learn from his mistakes and hopefully the 2.3 level will keep the same art style and be consistent
Never let bro cook again😭
Never let bro rank again
My favorite level is defined Clutterfunk. It has so much personality and syncs so well with the music, and the difficulty progression leading to that last 15ish percent is just amazing. I also feel like Geo Dominator was way overrated here, there’s a lot of nothing gameplay and that memorization part is just awful lol
the "nothing gameplay" is actually fun, and syncs with the music, and ranking a level based on one part is shit lol geo dom is my personal top 3, along with electroman and deadlocked
@@NathanAbayneh-x6r that’s fair, just my opinion. Also he ranks a lot of levels lower in the video based on one part if I remember correctly
you re opinion is perfectly fine, sorry if i acted mean :) @@Double_Jae
The Waterflame tracks are always my favorite :)
"This is poorly designed"
It's 1.0 for a reason.
Decoration as opposed to gameplay, I meant gameplay. A thing any update can implement
I agree toe 2 is the best because the song is just such a banger no other RobTop song hits like it and the theme is so creative
Here’s my list of levels that should’ve been way higher:
1. Hexagon Force
2. Jumper
3. XStep
4. Time Machine
5. Dash (should be close to the top)
6. Fingerdash
HEXAGON FORCE IS MY FAVORITE LEVEL
17:16 putting a level down just because it introduces a gamemode that you think other people hate is stupid. Also that opinion on Hexagon Force not having enough dual is weird and not well thought of since literally only 2 levels after it have the dual and they use it only a quarter of what Hexagon Force uses.
BLAST PROCESSING, GEOMETRICAL DOMINATOR AND ELETROMAM ADVENTURES ARE SO DAM GOOOOOOOAAAAATEDDDD
Agreed
Nah Blast Processing is very overated imo. It stays the exact same speed throughout the entirety which ruins the crap out of me.
@@sterlingfelsted5588 oh, I disagree, nice opinion tho :) also blast processing DOES change speed, just not much :)
Hexagon Force being that low is criminal
crime to put hexagon force so low
Until 1.8, Base After Base was Harder and Jumper was Insane. That's what difficulty was supposed to be.
Okay, this list (except of maybe first 6 places) is all wrong bruh
U put fvcking hexagon force below time machine like broo whaaat
Never let bro cook again 🔥🔥🗣🗣
I've never seen opinions as bad as this
bro the ratings from the 1.0 levels are unfair. no sht they are simple and repetitive!
Electroman is personally my favorite. Banger music, Good design, and not too hard.
I agree with this except polargeist at 9. I would replace hexagon force and polargeist.
My top:
1. Hexagon Force (Song, Colors, Gameplay)
2. Clutterfunk (SONG)
3. Blast Processing (Song, Colors, Gameplay, Decorations)
4. Geometrical Dominator (Song, Decorations)
5. ToE 2 (Song)
6. Dash (Just New)
7. Deadlocked (Song, Decorations, Colors)
8. Electrodynamix (Colors, Decorations)
...
22. Can't Let Go (-Song, -Gameplay)
never cook on rubrub levels again
1.0 --- 1.2 levels: "AM I A JOKE TO YOU???"
Ok I know it’s an opinion thing, but I disagree on a lot of them.
Here's my personal worst to best list.
22.Cycles (basic example of horrible balancing, the ship is the only good part.)
21.Can't Let Go (yall know why it sucks)
20.Base after Base (Ditto)
19.Theory of Everything (Introduced worst gamemode and I hate the song due to oversaturation)
18.Clutterfunk (ok experience, level forgettable)
17.Time Machine (mirror portals and triple spikes)
16.Back on Track (the joke was never that funny)
15.Dry Out (decent intro to upside down gravity)
14.Stereo Madness (good introduction to the game)
13.TOE 2 (worst experience I had beating a robtop level, but there's not much inheritly wrong with it.)
12.Hexagon Force (duals ruined tbh)
11.Polargeist (sync is pretty good surprisingly)
10.Fingerdash (great, but fell off a bit after the ship part)
9.Clubstep (2nd half heavy, but still aged well kinda)
8.xStep (Underrated as hell, gameplay is great)
7.Dash (Similar to fingerdash, but it's not as much)
6.Electrodynamix (Suprisngly didn't rage that much)
5.Jumper (your opinion is slanderous)
4.Deadlocked (2.0 level that ages well surprisingly)
3.Geometrical Dominator (the memory part isn't hard, you just suck at sightreading)
2.Blast Processing (bwomp)
1.Electroman Adventures (Everyting works here, great song, sync, and deco.)
You're a disgrace. You put toe 2 below polargeist. You put electroman adventures higher than 8th. These are only a small part of the sins you have committed.
21. Why?
@@N0tC4ntL3tG0we won't explain it
Wth is ur problem with TOE and TOE2 and clutterfunk, U PUT TIME MACHINE HIGHER THAN THEM. 💀💀
this is one of the only rankings ive seen that gives geometrical dominator the respect it deserves, such an amazing and overhated level
Hexagon force is in my top 5 thats too bad 😖
TOE 2 is the best level i have played in the game, i would be very happy to find something that matches it in the user made level space.
Can You Make "SHOULD GEOMETRICAL DOMINATOR BE UPGRADED"
Hmmmm I’ll have to take some time thinking about it. I feel as if there’s too many basic sections to even discuss an upgrade
personally i dont really like electroman adventures much but you do you
It’s called Time Machine for a reason
im sorry man but this ranking is more all over the place than how you see hexagon force is, and not only because of your opinions, but because of how inconsistent they are
in the first segment of theory of everything (before the plane part)
you can tap for every note that plays in the music and you will survive lol.
Hexgon force is top 5 for me, even though the level is hard, it's the fun kind of hard, and when you get past 40% and the dual ball it feels so so good. Easy top 5.
Why hexagon force is the best
1. Electrodynamix is more messy than hexagon force
2. The name makes atleast a little sense
3. best soundtrack of all the robtop levels.
Well. Almost every robtop level uses
A wall coin so. Bro be happy that all the offline levels exist.
9. Cool block design for 1.7 level.
10. Dual introduction is not hard. Instead of going extreme with speed and portals. Its just 2× speed and dual and thats all
11. Slopes are satisfying
12. WATERFLAME SONG!!
13. Amazing deco. Its predictable if you can touch it or not.
14. Uses more colors. Like scarlet surge uses red and black and thats all. Its so unpredictable.
15. Just.. say something negative about hexagon force thats also true..
Base after Base I think second coin is so cool😅😅
agreed
Honestly yeah
If you had added that in I would not be blabbering about this and spending and hour of my time tryna write this comment)
I love theory of everything 2 but i prefere deadlocked: when you beat for the first time deadlocked its the best sensation you can have in my opinion...

YES
I feel like the Xstep ball at 72% is one of the most decorated parts for a 1.3 level not going to lie
Personally, I love hexagon force’s song and design, but the ball dual is a bit risky.

i totally respect your opinion, but i really hope your opinion changes after knowing that the official levels are used to introduce a new mechanic, and the word gimmick was used wrongly at times :}
WHAT HEXAGON FORCE IS THE BEST ONE MAKE GOEMETRICAL DOMINATOR LAST also base after base is the second best official level song, but still not above like 17 or so, because the coins are hot gar-bage
I'd rather play a level with just gimmicks than an asymmetrical dual
@@PotaTo_Wurldur weird duals are awesome
This video does a great job at Ranking a level without any real information on why. This video does a bad job at making the viewer agree with your opinion. I feel that your explanations for some of these rankings are extremely lack luster, paired with the fact that the way you rank the levels are extremely inconsistent. You say some of these levels are "nothing burgers", but the lack of evidence to support your opinions makes this video feel like a nothing burger. Just my opinion tho 🤷
Saying a level is a nothing burger is perspective and what I value in a level which was discussed
Ontop of that the last thing this video focused on was for people to agree with me lol.
also base after base is actually pretty good and i think clubstep is good
Geometrical Dominator is the best level to ever existed imo,
The level was Peak, the deco was Peak, the gameplay is perfect for me overall! I Iove the song, it matches perfect in every way! (especially the memory part) It's not rushed or anything, it fits the vibe of the best possible way to a song!
I would like to also say about the colour choice cuz its perfect! Best level, not changing imo!
Best Opinion Ever 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Pls change it lol
Can't Let Go's "gimmicks" with the jump pads doesn't make it increase in difficulty because it's showing the new player what jump pads are and how to use them/
I Just clicked on thinking this was an old vid but it was 14 minutes ago😅
Nope fresh as possible!

Base After Base is a good level! Ignore the missing spike, it's still good.
EXCUSE ME BUT HOW THE HELL IS HEXAGON FORCE SECOND TO LAST
why is base after base so hated like the song is fire and the level is decent

Hexagon force should be number 1 imo
Xstep at 17 is a crime:(
I know this is an opinion but if you are talking about 1.0 levels, just know that there were no chains back then, and if you were trying to change the BG (background) color of a level, it would usually crash.
That bug was only for the very first version of 1.0, it was fixed shortly in 1.01
