This is a nice song and the performers are great. But I will never understand how Mr. Lloyd Webber could find it in his heart to CUT OUT an amazing song like "Only He" and the duet that followed, not to mention other beautiful songs like "There's Me", all of which were in the original show.
I saw this version of Starlight Express tonight, its sooooooo good! I know nothing can beat the original but this was fantastic, Kris Harding and Amanda Coutts are excellent:) I so recommend going to see it!!!
Caught the show last month and this was a stand out number, audience just loved it , terrific performance, is the father passing the torch on to the son, if so, the future looks bright
I've seen mixed reviews of this new song, but having heard it for the 1st time at SE this afternoon (it was a great show!) and now on here, I have to say I personally think Alastair Lloyd Webber has definitely inherited his dad's composing abilities, and the song fits well in the show!
Do anybody know if they plan on releasing a new version of the soundtrack? I'd love to have a studio version of this song as well as the reworked editions of the other tracks.
this sounds like a pop song,good for charts,text is ok,but the melody is not for a a musical! the melody sounds always the same. it doesn't have this fairytale-like touch with ups and downs like only you or next time you fall in love. i hope that in the german version they'll change the melody!
I'm a major Starlight Express nerd...and lyrically the song is pretty weak. It has less to tie it to Starlight than "Next Time I Fall In Love" did. Compulsively I'll add it to the collection, but still disappointing. Most of the tinkering with the show has made it more bland IMO.

Und der Song wird kommen laut meinen Quellen. Aber Liebesexpress kommt wieder in die Show, ein kleiner Wehrmutstropfen.
Was diese Änderungen gebracht haben, sieht man ja... Man wollte auf teufelkommraus mit der Zeit gehen, hat aber stattdessen Fans vergrätzt und Starlight den Glanz genommen. In Bochum würde das eine Katastrophe werden. Man kann nur hoffen, daß die Erfahrung lehrreich war.
Naja... Ich hoffe mal, in Bochum führen die das nicht ein! Vor allem wegen des biligen Textes. Gegen "Du allein" oder dem aktuellen "Nur mit ihm" ist das echt nix! Am besten wär´s eh, wenn sie "Allein im Licht der Sterne" wieder spielen würden!

Anscheinend findet Andrew es aber gut wenn er es einführen will, außerdem ändert sich das immer mal, damit muss gerechnet werden. Sonst ist das ja langweilig
