I love your tutorials! It’s awesome that you include all the steps in the process for those of us that are still beginners. Thank you for that! I purchased many of the tonic embossing powders and gave it a go, but it didn’t turn out too well...I think I was nervous using the heat gun (I have the same one as you) and maybe moved it around too much and didn’t complete the heating process! I’m ready to give it a try now and order some of that clear mark!

I do not know the Nuvo embossing pas but my Versamark is a great product. Got mine for over 5 years and it is not dry and did not have to refill it.

The utee (ultra thick embossing enamel) is usually used to coat the whole thing, like a small circle with a stamp in, it makes a glossy protective layer.

Yes you can do that also, both ways work depending on whats in your stash
Is there a difference between the verse mark and the tonic clear mark...I have revisited embossing recently and have struggled with it, so what would be the embossing tools you would recommend 🙏

Hi Louise, yes there are some difference I did a comparison between a number of the glue inks check out the embossing ink comparison video, i am on my phone so its a bit harder to search; but my go to's are the clear mark, wagner heat tool and nuvo fine powders
Does nuvo have some type of embossing powder that has the texture of rock?
Not at the moment but ill put it into the idea hopper!
What would you use the extra thick embossing powder ?
You can use it as a base, for clear coats, or for a quick glaze

Alex, I still didn't quite understand when one would use the extra thick embossing powders (the one that looks like sugar granules). Would you please expound on that further? Give us some examples of what it would look like and when you would use it, please.

FYI
When your thick layers of embossing powder are hot, you can sprinkle embossing powder on top of the melted layer without using more embossing ink. Try it. You'll like it!
Yes we did a similar technique like that a while back with adding different colors its really good fun!
If you rubbed the embossing buddy in your little tray, wouldn't that make the embossing powder not stick to it and empty out better?
Yes it can do, sometimes i remember but normally its too late!

Pamela Wellons I hate my Wagner I liked my cheap. one better because I think the Wagner takes longer to heat bc it gets hotter it feels to me that it takes too long to get the job done and you can get the same results from the 19.99 ones at Michaels or amazon and not have to wait for it to achieve optimum temperature.
It's the wagner/hero arts heat gun; as I always say craft tools are personal; I have tried other but this is good quality, they last forever, the heat is very even and I love mine.

Why did you beg someone to make something like Versamark when Versamark is awesome and I think the best black ink is versafine onyx black ink its the best best best. Loved your Lawn fawn release video. Question, you said you don't buy matching dies to match stamps is that bc you use a silhouette to cut things or do you fussy cut?
Hi Beth, this is what I always say; crafting tools are very personal, personally there are many things I don't like about it; but I know many people do love it. I am also not a fan of versafine, I like the extreme black from MFT or amalgam. I like the Brother scan n cut rather than co-ordinating dies, I have lots of videos on it as it pays for itself after around 10 dies sets
Hedgehog Hollow That’s interesting I have the Silhouette and I’ve heard great things about the scan and cut but honestly I’m afraid I won’t be able to figure it out I found the silhouette interface was very user friendly but my silhouette keeps breaking so I’m torn. It would be awesome to stamp a bunch of stuff them shoot it through a scan and cut. I already have the Gemini feel I’m in need of the junior. I’m a little late to the party I mean I’ve been crafting for years but not participating in hops or challenges just buying way too much crap from SSS and EH and I have not previously purchased from scrapbook.com in the past bc shipping took too long but now I see that there are better options. Love your videos!!!!
On the scan n cut take a look at the playlist ont he channel, i have lots of videos, including a comparison between the scan n cut, silhouette and cricut, as well as how to use the scan n cut and the difference between the old and new model; see what you think it is honestly very easy.
