- Bots are officially a part of Dead by Daylight now,
whenever a survvior disconnects a bot takes it place.
But how good are those bots really, I went out and tested 4 survivor bots
against brand new killer players to see if they can beat beginners.
The 3 games we did ended up being hard fought and hilarious, especially the last game where the bots made a Myers so furious that he continously bming- them. I hope you enjoy

I love how one bot is teabagging to give heals, but the other one is just self caring. They are too real..

The fact that the bots are usually an upgrade compared to most solo q teammates really says something
It says a lot about how successful the MMR is too. I have 3,000 hours in the game with high chase time and escape rates, why am I being paired with the Meg I played with last night that threw up 3500 points at the end of the game because they spent most of the game urban evading (and died as well)
@@theformuoli6397 worst of all,the typical ones that hide all over the map and sell you to the killer when you refuse to heal them because they do nothing more than hide and wait for the others to do all the gens to open the doors instantly.
@@prettygirlstan I don’t have very much of that in my elo, but the thought is still the same I bet. If I have 3,000 hours and I play comp from time to time, and I am paired with killers and survivors with 3-10,000 hours, I shouldn’t be paired with people that have sub 500. Yet majority of the games there is at least one weaker survivor.
Honestly the bots feel like a bandaid fix to their MMR system as well. But if any killer takes about an hour to study the hots in customs solo, there are a lot of ways you can break them I noticed. Standing in particularly spots always places them corner map where they run around a z wall and they’ll never leave. You can also do this so effectively that you can wrangle all 4 bots in a custom to run the same z wall. So when killers get more savvy on the AI it’s gonna be a problem lol
They do well against m1 killers. But any special ones, they usually fall over quickly.
It does, it exposes a severe skill issue on their part and makes me question a majority of survivor players 😂
i think bots asking another bot for heals and the bots just ignoring each other is hillarious
Giving a flashlight to bot is definitely a mistake, instead of looping, they’re continuously trying to blind killer even at close distance
I've seen this in customs so many times, the bot will just prioritise trying to blind over anything else, it is hilariously sad. XD
@@BrightWulph I`ve found another mistake for making a bot lobby btw. Boon totems. If bot has a boon, he will just go through map and bless every single totem he sees
@@user-un3tu2gl4b They also know if you have NoEd, so will go arround cleansing every totem before the end game. It's really quite annoying.
4 bots with flashlights = mechanized bully squad!
BTW - they seem to smarten up, once a pallet is nearby. I saw a bot blind a Nurse and then predrop the staircase god pallet on Racoon City police station ... like an absolute boss.

i recewntly had a dc with a game against a doctor, the survivor bot could not getout of madness 3 because they couldnt hit skillchecks

watching that Myers try to mind game the god pallet was PAINFUL. I was screaming "JUST BREAK THE PALLET" for way too long
It's not even a god pallet. It's just long enough that you can't mindgame a bot on it. You can easily mindgame a human on it. A god pallet is a pallet you LITERALLY have to break because going around it takes way too long, giving even humans enough time to keep vaulting it safely.
@@AaronScotz We must not be talking about the same pallet because the one she sat at literally is a god pallet that any human could safely sit at for the entire game if you stay on the side closest to where basement can spawn.
@@AaronScotzno. A god pallet is a pallet that forces a killer to break it otherwise they’ll never reach the survivor. First floor Gideon pallets are an example of what you’re referring to but no m1 mind games would allow the killer to reach the Meg assuming it was a decent human player. You have enough time to react to fast vault both sides

I was in this game where the killer had two in basement. Real Feng tried to get them out and went down I got them out, but real Feng quit on hook. I unhooked and healed bot Feng. Best decision ever. She helped me get gens done while the killer was busy looking for Human Jake. Bot Feng didn't make it, but her gen assist and final chase got Jake and I out. One of the best teammates ever.
Good thing, that the killer wasn't coming back then. Because when you catch bots in the basement, they usually run deeper into it.
Never forget the baby Meyers 4k’d with that build but Hens only 3k’d when he used it 😂

So I feel like there is a dice roll to determine how good the bots are when the DC happens, because I've seen bots go from missing skillchecks, all the way to literally knowing where I'm at in loop better than most players, making catching them insanely difficult.
Mostly what happens is that by default the bots are way better at looping than most players because they perfectly know where the killer is at regardless of if they see them or even if the killer is undetectable, so they can't be beat with the usual mindgames most killers do against real players. They also have really tight pathing and only tend to drop when it's actually necessary.
All that being said, but their AI also just completely short circuits sometimes. They basically instantly abandon everything else if there are people hooked or injured, including in the end game so they are really easy to cheese that way. They also don't really make a distinction between safe and unsafe pallets, so they sometimes basically commit suicide by staying at a really bad loop even after being hit once.
I noticed when bots vault they will go back and forth if you go back and forth, so in the middle of where they are go a little to right for example and immediately go around for a swing, they don't do a very fast vault because they wasn't running

@@chernoblyat8912what im impressed by is that AI knows how to loop. Like its really not obvious process. Knowing direction using palets conecting tiles. That is much more that "if then" statements. I wonder if there is ACTUAL AI involved, maybe trained of high MMR match data/logs.
@@UnusualDeathCauseIm convinced that the devs probably, like. Drew paths around individual loops, and the bots have a tolerance for how close they get to the killer or something before a drop/vault

The bots don't seem to know how to handle Nemesis zombies. I tried to play against bots in customs on Nemesis, one went to unhook and they both stood there and let a zombie hit them. Suddenly two survivors downed by a single zombie on the other side of Midwich.

I like the idea that the bots are t-bagging in loops, but in reality, they are just programmed to make themselves hard to see/hard to hit (huntress) when they stop moving in loops.
Do the killers not see that they are bots too? The bot god looping the Myers was hilarious, man would have never got her.

someone dc'ed at the start yesterday in a match, the bot never touched a gen more that 2 secs straights, later opened the gate and stood there for 1 min while killer facecamped me, and even managed to die idk how
the reason why they were walking mid chase in the first game was because of hysteria, so the bots werent aware that the killer was actually here before starting the chase music
I won't lie playing solo queue someone DCed and became a bot Nick Cage he was so efficient at looping and sneaking gens that the Clown ignored us to tunnel him out.
I played a game against a Mikaela bot that was literally a god at looping 💀💀 she looped me for so long that she was able to find hatch and escape

Me and my friends all dc’d against chess merchant and just enjoyed the bots play the match for us. It was actually more entertaining than play the match ourselves

No way this is real, those boys are so human like. The teabagging, the almost random flashlight clicking, completely missing blinds, the janky movement, the awful timing. It's so beautiful.
It felt like the Bots were trying to escape the game and save themselves by fleeing to Dead Zones to reach out-of-bounds areas aka end game

I played with three bots in a custom match against my friend (who is new to the game) and he couldn’t get a single hit or kill on any of them because of the bots constantly looping and hiding. I felt so bad for him I let him sacrifice me at the end so he could at least get one kill

Ended up being a smart play on his part though. Arguably the only smart play he made, lol
this was amazing watching on stream, everyone was so invested. ngl this could be a pretty funny series to play around with, your commentary abilities honestly made it even more amazing to watch.

I feel like the disconnect bots and actual custom game bots you can add have completely different AI. Those custom bots can loop you with perfect tracking and never miss a skill check. But these disconnect bots just seem to miss everything and run against walls. And also if you gave the custom bots flashlight, they will just flash you in mid-flight if you throw them around with Wesker.
I had a DC today and the person was replaced with a bot. My other 2 teammates had died and the bot was on hook so i just left them to die because there was absolutely no way me and the bot would get all 3 gens to escape done and it was only a bot so it wasnt like i was denying someone else a win so I left them to die on hook so I could escape. I was so confused when after the match the player messaged asking why i didnt save them and I thought maybe the game glitched and it told me they were a bot when they actually weren't but I later realised they were trolling

It think where they kinda shine is in indoor maps, finding gens and pathing generally (like we saw on 2nd game).

Idk if its always like this but the games I faced bots it feels like they always know where hatch is in a 1v1. This video explains how the bot in the match I had knew where i was at all times even as pig
I've had several teammates disconnect and give us bots... And honestly, I'll take bots over real teammates most of the time :P Somehow, even though the bots feel the need to open all chests every games, they're still so much more efficient: they last longer in chases, they do gens, they don't farm unhooks, they're not as "scared" of the killer... It's crazy.
It was a really fun and entertaining concept to watch, great video :D

Just here to say that the bots are literal dorky lol.
Any killer with a secondary objective (sadako, pinhead, plague, etc) will usually fry their brain into spamming the secondary obj all game, they can’t hit gen skill checks to save their lives, can’t loop, and so on. Their best ability is staying hidden and even that is pretty bad, they’re horrendous and you may as well just not have them lol
I disagree tbh. Basically everything you said is right, except about them being bad at looping. They can see through walls so there are absolutely no mind-games the killer can do. They certainly can be a bit dumb, and aren't always good at transitioning, but if they get to a loop then they're far better than most players. Also how often they hit skill checks is honestly a coin flip, I play a lot of customs, but overall they hit almost all their skillchecks, I'd say they average 2 missed skill checks per match, and that's in total, not per surv. However there are also matches where they just miss absolutely everything
@@RandomPerson-sh9tu every match I’ve played where a team mate has DC’d, the bot is absolutely worthless. They almost don’t even loop, they just hold W and try to break line of sight. So killers just have to hold W. If somebody is being out gamed by a bot, they’re just bad.
And the skill checks they miss are always on gen, they never miss skill checks on hook or when they’ve helped heal me. But god forbid they join a gen with you for longer than 2 seconds.
Overall, I’d say that makes them pretty bad. They’re just a warm body that I see most killers ignore altogether unless they are right in front of them.

Good video very interesting if they fix the few pathing bugs then the bots are better then most randoms but each match there was one useless bot doing nothing basically
I noticed the dbd bots always know where the hatch is. I was playing bubba and downed the last player who dc’d and i followed it cos there were no hooks nearby, she had boil over and was crawling forward just to realise she knew exactly where the hatch was. I recon it’d be hard as a killer when the bot survivor is the last one standing and it just straight away knows where the hatch is.

They must have changed the bots. When i played against them with Nemesis a few months ago they dodged every Tentacle perfectly, it was insanely hard to hit them in open field. Crazy to imagine that these bots are still 2 levels above the mates you get in soloq ;)

It looks like they have the ability to change difficulties based on playtime or something? It’s weird because sometimes I see them juice for years but also sometimes I see them walk during a speed boost from a hit
Ive been having a lot of fun learning the bots intricacies and quirks by playing customs against them
Seeing this video makes me wonder what i could learn by having someone spectate the bots, especially when playing ghost face because they can either be completely oblivious to me stalking them around a corner or seemingly having a hive mind where they all know when and where to run away without line of sight while im in power and not in chase
I once went against a Legion on Hawkins (solo). One team mate disconnected on first hook and the other two died really fast. So it came down to me and the bot.
We actually managed to unhook each other safely and twice respectively. Also, because I ran Empathy, I could see the aura of the injured bot and he was insanely efficient on some of the Hawkins tiles against an M1 Legion. The last chase lasted so long, that I nearly bled out on the ground, before Legion finally ended things (the bot even managed to pick me up in between).
From a certain point forward, after seeing the poor Legion eat a steady supply of pallets and getting looped by the bot, I was laughing through the whole thing. This bot was the undisputed MVP!

i tried playing as myers against bots to practice but they are insane at looping it's unbelievable
They can also use perks like head on and dead hard perfectly, as well as using plot twist multiple times before the gens are done, stealth doesn’t work on them and if you’re playing ghostface they can reveal you from across the map, kind of crazy

@@thesavagegummybear7341 they're really bad with dead hard. BHVR programmed them to not have auto-DH so you can wait it out or do a max distance lunge and they will never get a chance to use it.
@@manslaughter8845 oh I didn’t know that, I swear I saw a clip of them using dh, but I know for a fact head on is unavoidable, it happened to me twice in a game because they know exactly what frame to jump out at so you can’t react

The only problem with the bots is they get confused when they go against certain killers like trickster, nemesis and huntress, they just dont know what to do against projectiles/whip
Cannot wait for killer bots as well, so we can finally have an all bot match! Also this kind of thing seems like a really fun way of having a silly betting match or such! Something along the lines of each person gives a bot a loadout they think has the highest odds of winning, loads it into a pub match (at high MMR, so the bots are even more juiced up), and then they get set loose? Last bot alive wins, if your bot escapes bonus points??

I swear in my custom games the bots are absolutely insane because they perfectly track you so it's nice that BHVR toned them down enough to actually be somewhat fair. Also it's absolutely hilarious that they tbag to try and heal just like players actually do in-game. Flashlights completely break them though and they go full hero mode trying to fight the killer.

The Myers game was a situation where real players would have won. If the killer is camping a hook, just do gens. The bots just sorta broke because they wanted to unhook but didn't want to be near the killer at the same time.
I remember when first starting bots sucked always looping me but then you slowly realise actually how easy it is to trick them to slide over pallets or vault windows
