Great advice. I have a few antique shops that sell on consignment and I have picked up a few good coins here and there for very cheap. I also have noticed paying with cash I get silver change back a lot lately. I average a few coins a month.

We’ve been slowly purchasing silver every chance we can get. We only get about $10 at a time because it is all we can afford right now, but it will add up over time. We understand that even if we don’t make it to a huge amount, we can still barter to cover ourselves in other areas.

Pay your mortgage off, although many people say if you have gold/silver and the market corrects, you can pay your mortgage off with it... but I'm a bit old fashioned and like to pay my bills off first.

Well first off, you need to understand that many many roman emperors would adjust the silver content up and down so there is no true constant to the amount of grams in a denarius despite what you may find online. Second, to the common man, all he knew was the size and shape and that it was silver. More educated people would remove the higher content silver from circulation (Greshams law) and spend the lesser quality denari. So a gram plus or minus, the dime and denari were very similar in size and silver content if you didn't know any better. This is also WHY in the king James version, it's called a pence. Because the British 6 pence is ALSO the same size and the translators in the 1400s wanted to convey to the reading audience just how much silver was being paid for the job in the story of the good Samaritan. The pence, denari, and dime. All "basically" the same. 2000 years of consistency.
What I can't get my head around with the idea of using silver is how would I get its actual worth when the vast majority of people don't KNOW its worth? They would just see a dime...

Either in such minute quantities in consumers good now in Landfills that's not worth extracting, or has been turned into vapor during recycling processes and is now impossible to recollect. The price of silver today should be closer to $450 per troy ounce.

Them 30 or 40 lb weights? Get you a 100 lb heavy bag and some good gloves and work on it few times a week and fight it like it owes you money and you will see fast results
Give up a trip to McDonald’s and buy a silver dollar.. buy a Kennedy half dollar instead of the Starbucks coffee. It is not hard to do. I purchased my first with the stimulus check we got during COVID lockdowns.

My income is upside down right now. I have to choose who gets paid this month who won’t get paid next month. So, I cannot afford any such investment, period.

A dime is about $2.40-2.80..now. . luckily I bought a bunch of dimes over a wk ago at $2.00. anyone can buy a dime at $2-3 dollars

Talk to ITM trading and based on your goals they will give you options. Then you can decide. They will take all that into account.
