For those wondering what to ask for. Low drop fade to zero, slicked back but slightly combed to the side with a hard part line. Top is about 3.5 inches long. Depending on your head shape, you might need to trim more hair on top as you go towards the back of the the head if the back of your head sticks up more than the front. If the back side of your head is flat you might want to ask for slight blowout on the back. You want to aim for the aesthetic head shape like at 3:14

I have it! Took me half a year. The longer top of the hair the easier it gets.
Constantly once a month or half a month sides cutting is recomended.
Dont touch the top after your barber cuts top of the hair once.
one side has to by cutted as a straight line and other side is blended to sides.
Pretty much as im stupid it took me time to realize.

IMHO it is more about the individual than the profession. So any skilled barber or hair stylist should be able to do that cut.
When you go to cosmetology school you learn how to cut both guys and girls hair. A hair stylist just does more than what a barber does. A barber strictly cuts hair and that only. A hair stylist, does cutting, coloring, skin, and nails. I went to cosmetology school, I can easily do a fade with the clipper over comb technique he did on this video, and he point cut the top hair to blend with the rest. Guys hair is the easiest to do by far.
From my experience most salons cut the top better, but can't properly fade. It's hard to find a salon that does fades as well as a barbershop. And most barbershops unfortunately can't texturize the top as well as a salon. When you find someone who can do either extremely well it's a blessing.
