Honest to god I have seen a random man in the street genuinely slip and fall over a discarded banana-peel. It was probably the greatest thing I've seen in my life.
An excellent episode! I loved Clare Balding's contributions, Stephen Fry yet again added a lot of interesting bonus info, and the comedy was great - Jimmy Carr and Dara Ó Briain are a safe bet.
There was an old guy in my village when I was growing up who'd trained his horse to wait for him outside the pub, so when he staggered out blind drunk, he could slump onto its back and it would walk him home and dump him in the hedge by his back door, even if he was actually asleep whilst on its back.
Just learned that Claire Balding's domestic partner, Alice Arnold, used to be in a relationship with Sandi Toksvig. It might make for some awkward banter if they were on an episode of QI together.
I’m glad that so many editions of QI are in UA-cam. The bad amateurs who run (down) the Australian Broadcasting Corporation are in the habit of bleeping out those words that they consider to be unfit for the ears of their audience, so nowadays I avoid the ABC’s broadcasts of QI.
I quite like having none comedians on the panel, they usually give sincere and intelligent answers, something for the other panelists to play off and something interesting to learn.
"Everyone in those times knew the banana peel was a reference to horse manure..." - My old teacher said she had read such a gag in a book then - but she hadn´t known what banana is.
"for thousands of years" kinda tells you that even though it seems wasteful to hunt bison that way, it was sustainable if there were still plenty of bison there.

Thanks for posting. You are the reason I have moments of happiness with QI. :)
Thanks for uploading these. I couldn't find series H anywhere until recently and I'm extremely grateful to you.
QI, the series that makes me more interesting everyday by learning random facts
so naming horses is like signing up for an online gaming account and the name you want is taken so you have to make it more and more stupid.

Bears make barking and woofing sounds when they are stressed and showing confrontational behaviour at the very least - so they do make vocalizations.
I can confirm that banana peels are indeed very slippery.
Thanks for the upload!
i love this show man!

Jimmy Carr doesn't look right without a suit jacket...
