    Hey Everyone!
August was a month for me....whew! Life definitely threw me a couple of curve balls and I am slowly coming out of the fog of it all.
So when life happens, how do we manage to get things done? What happens when we are not motivated or inspired to do ANYTHING!?
Even though we want to give ourselves grace and space to take time off, sometimes we can't. We have to go to work, go to school, get the kids ready, and fix dinner.
And when you don't have the energy to do it all, what do you do? How can we get more energy to get more things done?
Today, I want to share with you the 5 things I did during the month of August that helped me to manage the little energy I did have to do all the things that I had to do.
Today's class will be today at 4:00pm CST. See you all then!

Gosh. You have no idea how much peace this video brought to me. I have been feeling overwhelmed because I felt I wasn't doing enough. I felt "how could I possibly perspire to aspire when I just have 4hours to myself " lol. Thank you. I'm just 10mins into this video and I feel so blessed and hooked. Thank you

I'm only at the beginning of this video but I just wanted to say THANK YOU for pushing back against that saying 'everyone has the same amount of time' - I've heard it various times over the years and it has always driven me crazy for exactly the reasons you laid out! It's great to hear someone finally dismantling this saying because it's so frustrating and demoralising!

I too can't stand the "we all have the same 24 hours". Yes we all have 24 hours🤦‍♀️, but we also have varying levels of capacity. & different resources, we've got access too.
& seasons of life is a real thing.
Drives me up the wall that quote 🤨😠
I read 'How to keep house while you're drowning' by KC Davis. She goes into this mentality in detail.
She is so amazing as she's a therapist that is nerodivergent. She's so inclusive & gives us permission to do what matters to us. Self compassion is her thing. X

I'm going to write what you said about our planners being there as tools to help us manage our lives. I struggle with being consistent with my planner because I see it as a drill sergeant and I judge myself when I don't get things done. I am learning to be more self-disciplined but when I have those lazy days I really get down on myself. That comment really made me see things differently.

Watching this two years later, but was guided to this video and it is definitely confirmation that I need to slow down and rest. ❤

Alaina this has GOT to be the BEST time management video/advice I’ve ever seen! Total game changer! Now I know why my “ planners didn’t work” LOL!! Excited to rework my days according to my energy flow/seasons/etc.! THANK YOU!! God bless!! 🙌🏻👏🏻❤️

Raise your hand if you were blaming every planner you ever got for "not working." Lol! 🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️
I feel so exposed in this video! Lol! But thanks you breaking it down like this!

This is my Favorite of yours by far! Mothers are always trying to magically find more hours in a day to get stuff done. We need to remember we are only one person and it is OK to ask for help and it’s OK if it doesn’t get done.

You had me at "You have the same we hours as Beyoncé."😩 "Just because it's "not now" doesn't mean it's never." Wow 👏🏽🥺So happy the lives are back. They are some of the most useful videos here on UA-cam. Keep doing the Lord's work, Alaina!

You always put out such great videos! This really hit hard for me. I have an autoimmune disease and suffer from fatigue sometimes. But I also have ADHD lol so it's hard to feel like I can't get things done. This definitely put things in to perspective! Thank you!!!

Wow. I'm glad I found this video. It speaks DIRECTLY to my soul. I've wasted so much time planning and writing and thinking and stressing...just to not do ANYTHING I wrote down. I was just saying on another video of yours that I have no energy now because of my new overnight shift job. And listeeennnn! My August was absolutely horrible too! August was on some other ish this year! I'm glad it's over!

This was Great! I thought I didn't need the hourly section in my planner, but I think I should take a week and set up everything. It has never occurred to me to schedule in rest. Other than my nighttime. LOL

Hello, just came upon your site and will enjoy exploring it. If I may offer something I am learning with Abe/Hicks. It’s about vibration and alignment. They say we are action oriented which at this moment I feel we are taught when we accomplish a lot of task then we are successful and worthy. Also, the comparative experience can be used to uplift/inspire us or beat ourself up with. Only you know what side of the equation you are on. When you approach a task/item with the EXPECTATION that you can accomplish it and you WANT to do it you approach it with no resistance. If you feel you have to do something or else…(fill in the blank) then you are not in the right energy mode in that MOMENT. It’s ok . Maybe today is not the day to do the thing that in the past you did do with success but today you are not feeling it. It’s ok. Habit are helpful but when we demand that we must complete the item because it must be done then we turned that habit into a weapon instead of a tool. Everything can be classified people, places, things tool/weapon, wanted/unwanted, good/bad. It depends what you were taught, saw, heard etc. Interesting on review I have a family member who is so focused on efficiency and maximizing moments even with vacations and dining experiences. What I am realizing he is using his moments base on the belief that efficiency it good in all circumstances. However, when you eat dinner with others sometimes you want to savor the moment and eat each meal in stages instead of being efficient and ask for the app, dinner and dessert to come all at once because it is efficient and productive therefore successful. Huh 🤔. Blessings! It’s the journey. We have eternity, we came for the experience of discovery. We are too hard on ourselves. Also, definitions/beliefs vary (definitions for success or values) for all that is why one path is not the only path. All truths are truths.

Someone asked about crossing things out or moving them and what to do about it, I’ve been using the Frixion Pilot pens that are ERASABLE and come in different colors!
