Hello. I am suffering the same issue. Tried twice already and each time it is jumping a tooth. Did you found a solution for a proper putting the belt on?
Yes I had same issue, if I remember right, as far as getting belt tight ,put socket on crank bolt, turn it counter clockwise a little bit, then pull tensioner pin, something like that but it involved the turning of crank bolt to get slack perfect , mechanic neighbor told me and it worked. make sure alignment marks are right when done.
Ponga los engranes de árbol de levas en sus marcas y sostenga ambos engranes con unas pinzas de precion de pero no aplique mucha fuerza alas pinzas para no dañar los engranes y hasi logrará mantenerlos en sus marcas mientras coloca la banda de tiempo comience por el lado derecho y termine en el tencionador y jire la polea del tencionador al contrario de las manecillas del reloj apliqué 43 lbs ala polea no al tornillo y luego apriete el tornillo
Do you need any special tools to lock the cams in place ? Are these any harder to do than a 2.7 delta engine?
I rented the cam gear holder tool and did not work, so looked at youtube videos and used vice grips to hold gears, big and small for rear rear.
