1.Hulkenberg
2.Sutil
3.Martini
Sutil and Fisichella made miracles in a Force India that was the 9th or 10th best car.
Hulkenberg had the same car as Checo and he didn't do anything Meanwhile Checo made Podiums
@@ikercardenas9926 hulkenberg took pole in a lower midfield car while perez couldn't take a pole in a race winning car and hulkenberg came close to win in the car that finished 7th in the standings, wile being chased by McLarens who both won races that year, while perez won in a car that finished 4th in the standings while every front running team had their drivers at the last points positions, so this means that hulkenberg is better than perez

Chris Amon was never the same after the James Garner body swap.
Wut?
updated dec 2021: carlos sainz. man's a great driver, outscored leclerc during his 1st season with ferrari, unfortunately doesnt get talked about. unfortunate hes never won a race
I hope this video give F1 “fan” praising Hulk some perspective
I think Eddie Cheever belongs here as well.
Absolutely! If timing is everything like we were told in this video, then his was worst than Warwick's. Eddie also was Ferrari test driver as a teenager so things were quite promising for him in the beginning. He just made some curious career decisions (fun fact about Eddie is he never had a manager or agent).
No matter how absurd it may sound , but back in 2013 , Romain Grosjean was the guy who was believed to be the one who will break Vettel's dominance of 9 consecutive wins...
And he came really close. I think the 2013 Japanese GP was Grosjean's best effort.
No mention of Bellof‘s 1983 6:11.13 minute qualifying lap of the Nordschleife in a Porsche 956? Beating then F1-champion Keke Rosberg by 30 seconds and being the first (and for about two decades the only) one to average more than 200km/h over the course of a lap.
Cool to see Tom Pryce get some recognition in this video. Not enough people know about him other than the gruesome end he met. Much like Bellof we were robbed of Tom just as we were starting to see what he was capable of
Russell:c'mon guys I just want a point
Hülkenberg: All want for Christmas is [podium]
3:16 I thought it was Messi. 😅

All of these drivers deserve maximum respect 🙌
Hulkenberg: "It's ok, it's an achievement just to get a podi... oh for **** sake!"
It's funny seeing all the comments saying Hulkenberg like he was a regular podium sitter who had chances to win, and not an overrated driver

Edit: HE IS NOT EVEN IN THE VIDEO?!?
He has won so no he wont.

He couldn't even get a podium, how is he going to be in this list?
If he's better than old drivers idk but Grosjean in 2013 was better than him. And Heidfeld much better
He didn't even get a podium. Hulkenberg is the most overrated driver of all time. What's the deal with this guy? 180 races, 0 podiums. Enough is enough.
Checo :
"Whoo, very close"
shadow was such a badass f1 team name
to the people in the comments saying, why no hulkenberg: maybe because he's still trying to get a seat and isn retired from formula 1 racing yet. all the drivers in this list where either killed in an accident or retired.
All of these guys have atleast a podium. That's why Hulkenberg is not here.
I missed Stefano Modena and Ivan Capelli from the list.

So where's Mika Salo? He was going to win first and only time in F1 but Ferrari team order made him give the place for Irvine. That's one of the biggest robbery in F1 history.
It's another thing to lose your 1st place to some unlucky malfunction or error. Getting team ordered your only possible win is brutal.
Bellof vs Senna would've been even more electric than Senna vs Prost. Throw Mansell into that for extra battles, and... epic drama.
No. Bellof was in an illegal car the whole year and the team was disqualified. All his results can't be judged properly.
@@monstalova Less than a season and a half and a reported Ferrari contract for 1986. I think Bellof was a great talent but his true potential was never realized. People left with a lot of "what ifs" with Bellof. Sadly, nobody knows how things would have played out with Bellof had he not been killed.
So many underrated and sometimes forgotten drivers on this list
So true
There is an karting track in germany which is called after Stefan Bellof.
It is a really nice track. It's in Oppenrod

There should be two categories for this topic. Young stars in the making who got ended before their time. And two, Grosjean types.
Do the top ten rivalries of all time
I remember after that Kubica win in Canada some commentator said this would be closest Heidfeld would ever come to winning a race (heidfeld finished 2nd).
Nick was kicked from Lotus for no reason. This car was fast, unlucky😔
LOL at Heidfeld getting a top-3 placing in this video but not getting P1.
That MASSIVE red ball SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME. 3:48
I'm so happy to see Jean-Pierre Jarier in this top 10, this driver was so underrated. He did incredible performance with midfield teams.
Guys, Hulkenberg is not mentioned here is because he is not yet retired.
So, who knows he might win in next coming years or at least grab a podium.
I will cry happy tears if Hulkenberg gets on the podium. I want it for him so much!
I think a deserved number 3 for Martin Brundle.
"In 2016, in an academic paper that reported a mathematical modeling study that assessed the relative influence of driver and machine, Brundle was ranked the 30th best Formula One driver of all time"
