Jerry I grew up on many of these movies. Hollywood just is not the same I call wagon train, Perry Mason, the Virginian, and so on the good old days. The actors and actresses were 100,,%. I watch these movies over and over. I am a great western fan. Keep up the great work Jerry, I appreciate your work, and look forward to more.

She also appears on another episode call Murry Christmas along with Jack Elam and then child actors Jodie Foster, Erin Moran, Willie Aames as run away orphans looking for Christmas. The only episode that miss kitty gives Matt a kiss, one of the few episodes that is light, funny and nobody gets shot in. Compare dirty Sally with Emma Grundy certainly shows her acting ability.

I just watched John Mcintire in the Tin star a couple of days ago and Winchester 73 right before that. My favorite actors are always the ones other people have never heard of. He brought something special to every movie he did and never looked like he was acting. I think his presence not only made the movies he was in better, but the other actors better as well. I always love it when I'm watching a movie and he shows up.

So he must've been in his late 50s or 60s before I ever saw him to notice him. What a blessed life. Meet the woman of your dreams working on radio, and head to the woods with her at least once a year. You can live out there pretty comfortable, if you know what you're about. His son is quite the actor, too. His Alan Free was awesome. I love when these stories are down to Earth, and you learn that yes, indeed, there was a cowboy actor who rode horses before he went to Hollywood.

We're retired, so are no longer spring chickens, lol, and hubby has been an old movie lover since he was a child, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of these actors from the early 20th century, so seeing these reminds me of us sitting together watching these movies, while hubby gave a running commentary on the actors. He really enjoys these Mr. Skinner. He always learns something new.

I was on my honeymoon and was getting my car washed to wash off the markings from friends at my wedding. He came up and asked what had happened to my car! I knew he was someone from movies but couldn't put my finger on it. I am glad I had a chance to meet him. Although the meet was very short he seemed like such a humble man. What a GREAT video (as usual). What wonderful careers Mr/Mrs Mcintire had. Though John had such a rich career, I only knew him as the replacement of Ward Bond's (Seth Adams) character as Wagon Master in Wagon Train. I loved Ward Bond in that role, but John was just as good. Even though no reason was ever given for the change on the show itself, John fit in so well, it was a seamless transition, imho. I still watch old Wagon Train episodes to this day on "MeTV". Thanks for the look at this family, which had a wealth of wonderful actors/actresses.

In 1977 I was invited to sail on a friends sailboat, his boat was mooed at Dana Point Harbor Marina, We all had a wonderful day sailing and fishing When it was time to head for the marina we approached our dock and thee was a man standing there and told me to throw a rope I was holding so he could secure the line to the dock. My mouth dropped open because the man was John Macintire ! We shook hands and talked a while and he was just a regular nice guy, an unforgettable memory.

His deep folksy voice was perfect as Sheriff Al Chambers in Psycho. *" If the person you saw was Norman Bate's mother, then who is that buried out in Greenlawn Cemetery?"*

John McIntire was one of my favorite actors. Good to know he was not only a good actor, but a good guy.
