Yea, beef is so expensive these days so it is hard for these videos. I do what she did and break it down to 3/4 lb. It makes it more worth it when you're getting an extra meal from it. (Usually ppl break them down to 1lb)
I use green beans for my "plate filler" when I'm trying to cut back on calories, but don't want to leave the table hungry. Sometimes I'll eat a whole can 😄
I love it when you share these budget meals with us. We did our large monthly grocery haul Tuesday and saved over $31 and went back yesterday to grab a few things we needed for Thanksgiving and saved an additional $40.
I'm so glad it's helpful! I just picked up my grocery order for the coming week. Lots of special things for the holiday week, and fun meals with the kids. :)
I love canned green beans too and when I was pregnant I really wanted them and my mom bought me cases of them (R.I.P. Mom). I appreciate how many vegetables you manage to get into these budget meals. ✔️
When I was a young kid (cooking at home before mom got off work 😮) I would take canned biscuits and cut a hole out with a Heinz 57 lid and fry up donuts!
Again, these videos are a source of encouragement to me! I appreciate all the ideas. They give me the boost I need to continue cooking at home, even in the busy times. Thank you!
Re the mince weight - 2.25lbs is 1kg. We get mince in generally 500g or 1kg packages at the supermarket. Not sure why the US hasn’t switched to the metric system already - makes far more sense!!
@@apriltownsend8463 LOL, it doesn't "make sense" because we never adopted it 🤦♀️ If you learned how to use the metrics system, it is actually pretty easy.
I'm in Oklahoma and about fainted that a gallon of Great Value 2%milk was close 3.52 about 2 weeks and today it's 4.52. I am definitely going to be on a very tight budget the rest of this year.
Love this meal plan! I was gifted 2 venison shoulders, which I butchered into stew meat, 3 different styles of sausage, and ground venison. Not a huge fan of venison, but with meat being so expensive right now, I am looking forward to using it up. Can totally adapt this budget plan to use some of it. Thank you!
When I was a child, I would help my grandmother make homemade pizza. Leftover dough was fried and sprinkled with powered sugar. We called it "Pizza Fritte" or fried dough. It was a treat for us, and similar to your fried donut holes.
Loved these. We don’t do much rice currently- but I may try- see how the family does. Green beans- try using butter in the pot with less water then sprinkle in a pinch or two dried basil! My family loves this! Thanks for all your money saving tips ! And I enjoy the recipes… simple and delicious!
(Posting as Joyce) Thank you for this video. I am looking forward to trying the recipe with the ground beef and veggies for lunch prep for me. I don't know if I have said this before, but your recipe for teriyaki sauce is delicious! I have made it several times, and everyone loves it. Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and keep up the great work!! 😃🦃🦃
Great save on the sound! Thank you for sharing your dinner ideas. The ideas you have shared remind me of how the simple ones usually are the most popular with the family.
Nice meals! I just wanted to say that I am impressed that you kept on your nice sweater on while you were making those donut bites….I would’ve probably splattered grease up on mine, 😂!
Need to try that in Germany, not sure if it will work. Our prices seem to differ significantly from yours. Also, I can't figure out how to stretch one small Zucchini to feed more than one person 😮
Will try the chicken soup idea. Just discovered using the broth based seasoning instead of boullion cubes. Also the taco seasoning homemade....could u do a video on this?
2.25lb is almost exactly 1kg... So I guess it's being packaged in a location where metric is the standard, or it's going to be SENT to a location where metric is the standard. Here is Australia, nearly all minced meats at the supermarkets are sold by the 500g or 1kg (with rare exceptions).
Hint use a wooden chopstick to check your oil. It will bubble when it's frying temperature. Saves us from an oily first sacrifice. Save one from chinese take out or grab one from a Walgreens that sells sushi. ;)
I'll have to think about hpw I can get even more creative. I have 2 picky guys, different in their own ways :/ lol. It's a challenge. Customizable meals.. is that a thing? 😂❤
Love the ideas and your videos. I just wish my husband would eat beans. He won't touch any at all. He also like only red sauce. He makes making dinner very hard. He said his stomach gets all bloated and upset from eating beans.. I love rice and beans and can't make it because of him. He won't even touch chic peas.... ugh!!
It's a shame that to stay in budget, every item was Walmart brand. So, no name brands were purchased which can be superior to generic, however, not always. I do appreciate your recipes though.
It's really nice to see budget meals with beef instead of chicken.

You have no idea how much you’ve helped me cut down my grocery budget.
I'm so glad I could help!

More videos like this please! 3-4 meals during the week is about
our normal this time of the year
Between you and Julia Pacheco’s channels, you’ve given me hope for my budget while feeding my family of 6.

❤. I love canned green beans too. I can eat them unheated, right out of the can.
Sometimes if I eat them cold I’ll drizzle some ranch dressing on them. Just my preference. 😊
We used to give them to our kids like that when they were toddlers in the high chair. I’ll admit, I ate some too that way!
I always enjoy watching your videos. It’s like having a conversation with a close friend, very comfortable. And the food always looks so tasty.
Thank you! I appreciate that.

My family often uses dinner leftovers as next day lunches. My kids would love these :)
We love serving canned green beans with sliced onion caramelized with butter!
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your love ones. Thank you for all that you do ❤🍻
Thank you! Likewise to you!
Each meal looks delicious, Mindy!

Metric is confusing
Maybe to you, lbs makes more sense to us
"Patriotism," ignorance, and fear of change. Pretty on brand, unfortunately 🙄
@ No fear, just doesn’t make sense the other way. Nothing here is measured in grams outside of like weighing a baby/medical stuff.

We pay about $4.50 in NL for 2 lt of milk. It’s quite expensive
I’m a new major fan of Oklahoma after recent events 😊🎉❤

Awesome! Every bit helps right now.
@@allisonmarcelle8627 It sure does!
My family loves the biscuit doughnuts holes rolled in powdered sugar and the cinnamon sugar ones dipped in a powdered sugar glaze so good and so easy!
All of these look delicious! I think the 3rd recipe would be perfect for meal prepping!
Surprising how much groceries we can buy with little money
Mindy, I have watched you for years, this by far is my favorite cost friendly meal plan video. Thank you!
You're welcome! I'm so glad you liked it.
Those all look delish! Thank you for your time
They looked delicious. Lots of people are recently having the slow motion issue with cameras! Thank you for the video.

I’ve never heard of fried dough pizza before, but it sounds delicious! I’m sure your grandmother’s recipe was a special treat.
Im with you, i prefer canned green beans over fresh lol
Thanks. Good ideas.
Awesome video, thanks Mindy
Looks delicious❤
I love your hair. We used to call those ringlets back in the day. 😊

Yum! all these recipes look great!
Eating canned green beans as I watch… I feel the preference in my soul, Mindy 😂🤣😅

Nice easy affordable meals.
That's the goal! I'm glad you found them easy.

Thanks!
Our youngest is on his way home from college for Thanksgiving break - yippee! Gonna give a couple of these a try while he’s home. 👍🏼😁

Bravo for the Clue clips!!!😊❤
It’s one of my all time favorite movies. I can just about quote the whole thing!
It's perfect for when I need to escape from a real life serious week!
@ same!!
I love all of these ideas! Thanks Mindy 😋
My pleasure!
I love your budget meals.
the slow-mo scary voice part gave me a good chuckle lol
These are great ideas.

Thank you, Mindy! Totally making this the week of Thanksgiving! Ground beef is perfect while we have several turkey days ahead😜
Will try the chicken soup idea. Just discovered using the broth based seasoning instead of boullion cubes. Also the taco seasoning homemade....could u do a video on this?
Love these budget videos! 🎉
Going to try the first recipe tonight, it looks delicious!! :)
I hope you enjoy it!
Those are nice easy meals. Going to try them. I often swap out minced turkey, chicken or pork. ❣️
Excellent video!
Just made the 3rd dish. Super easy and yummy. Only substituted for different cheese since I didn't have whay you used
Yay! I’m so glad you liked it! I think different kinds of cheese are fine. :)
That is why I like these kinds of dishes, you can easily sub what you have on hand.
Starting a Walmart delivery order 😅 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I just picked my order up today for this weekend (we're hosting company)
We always called the biscuit donuts "mouse ears". LOL...The "homemade hamburger helper" sounds delicious.
I wonder if you could use the air fryer for the donut holes?🤔
Personally, I don’t recommend it for this particular recipe.
Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you, happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
@@SeeMindyMomThanks. I can not wait to eat corn pudding
cool
Love the solution thinking. 😂
For the last meal, can I add more water than milk & achieve similar results?
Dairy sensitive kiddo in family, i would portion out before adding cheese
Will you be doing a turkey recipe soon? Pre Happy Thanksgiving.
Mindy slo-mo LOL

Oh that’s a good point. I hadn’t thought of that.
Can you make the biscuits in the air fryer?
Great question!
I don’t think they work well in the air fryer, personally.
How did the heavy cream hold up in the freezer? tfs
I don’t know yet because I haven’t made that freezer meal yet.

Love you girlfriend. I've learned so much from you ❤
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you're finding it helpful. :)
Clue!!!!!
If you’re just cooking with milk, invest in powdered milk. It’s way cheaper.
I thought of that too.

Oh man, that would be tough. Beans are an economical food, but I know a lot of people are sensitive to them.
I make beans and rice for my hubby. I don't eat beans either. Just cook them for yourself and have leftovers. That's what we do! ❤

1kg is 2.2lb
this has to be an old video. this would cost much more than 30 dollars now.
I don't think I've ever seen your husband eat
I just can't with the milk and tomatoes 🤢
Prolly the meat has something to do with the fact they don't have a butcher at Wal Marts. I can't stand their meat.. It tastes bad to me

Less talk .ore cook
Less attitude more nice or just don’t say anything at all😁Merry Christmas!!
