Not sure exactly which loco you mean, but the blue loco pulling the hopper wagons was built by Enrico (www.flickr.com/photos/154406928@N06) and the red loco leaving the station with a passenger train was built by Nicolas (www.flickr.com/photos/125290784@N03/)
A BIG collection of stars, there. The steams with tthose green carriages are a must. So L_GAUGE is now more or less focused on 1:48 scale. Very close to O-GAUGE.
In the US L-Gauge is mostly focused on 1:48 scale, but here in the EU, almost all of the L-Gauge builders I know build in 1:45 scale. I think it has something to do with US trains typically being slightly larger than European ones, so a typical US train ends up at 8 studs wide in 1:48 scale, and European ones in 1:45 scale.
Great video. Great trains 😍 Looks like big radius curves are done using straight tracks, rights? Are you considering to have wide curves from 3rd parties? Just curious.
For the really big radius curves we use straight tracks connected at a slight angle, but most of the curves and switches on this layout are from 3rd party manufacturers.
Whoa, what a great layout, seems you all had much fun! One question, why is Támas' steam loco 3737 sooo strong and fast? I used an XL Motor and Buwizz for my Br52 steam loco too, but my loco is way less stronger and faster than Támas' one. Do you know where I can find some pictures of the gearbox of his locos? I didn't found anything on Flickr... I'm new here and that would be really helpful! Thanks! :)
I believe he uses a PF L motor geared 1:1 in the loco, and a train motor under the tender. Both powered by a BuWizz 2.0, usually set to ludicrous mode.
Hi, my NS 3737 is indeed powered with an L motor in the firebox and a train motor underneath the tender that gets a bit less power to prevent wheelspin, the L motor is geared 1:1 on a really strong frame so it can handle a lot of power. Everything is powered with a Buwizz 2.0, the locomotive is equipped with test examples of the upcoming HA bricks wheels that provide a lot of grip wich results in the long train lengts it can pull
Hi, thanks for your reply! Yeah, Buwizz is really strong, always ludicrous mode, right?😅 I finally fixed the gearbox of my loco a few days before and now it runs perfectly
I believe Thomas used some 3d printed track pieces at each end of the bridge to make the geometry work, the rest is built from regular LEGO pieces. The triangulated frame of technic beams underneath makes is strong enough that it can actually be used as a bridge between tables, without needing any extra support.
Dude this train layout is insanely awesome. I wish there was a Lego Club in America just like it. How many bricks did it take you to build this? Also if this group came to America, I could run my Emerald Night with your club members coaches and do some double heading with some of the other steam engines.
@@jquarters1896 I know there are at least a few different LEGO train clubs in the US that travel to different train shows and setup a group layout together. But I'm not sure if I've ever seen an event like this in the US where multiple people and clubs get together and create one giant layout.
Waarschijnlijk gaan een aantal van ons in Januari weer naar de modelspoor dagen in Rijswijk, verder hebben we eigenlijk nog geen publieke evenementen in NL in onze planning staan.
Yes it's in Germany. Entry is free for visitors, so you are welcome to come by next year to watch if you want. I don't think they have announced a date yet for next edition, so keep an eye on noppenbahner.de
@@yourlegoguy17 This event is invite-only, so only people invited by the club who organise it (the Noppenbahner) are allowed to bring their layout and run trains. Some other events (like BSBT for example, www.lbrick.de/bsbt.html) let anyone apply, and then make a selection of who can participate based on the available space at the venue.
Thanks for putting all this together, great to hear NO background music, only the original LEGO train sounds.
Totally agree, it always annoys me when I wacht videos like this and there is random music playing in the background
Finaly a good show to enjoy on my dinner time, thank you sir!
It was a great weekend and a lot of fun. Thanks for the MANY pictures!
Beautiful layout and trains! Wished I could have attended this. Thanks for sharing this video!
Some of the best LEGO trains in the world!
I agree my friend I really want my Emerald Night to run on their layout.
:35 I never knew Lego track could double as a beer holder! Genius... but we would need to use German-sized beer bottles!
I am gonna go to this place in 2025 im telling you. And maybe i will see you!
Once again a incredibly crazy event! Do you by any chance know who has built the loco at 0:58 ?

@@Tiesproductions tysm, i meant the red sbb loco
Mooie treinen reiden hier
So coooolllll would love to run my Mocs on that amazing set up, but omg the amount of 1-4 brown tiles Jesus😂
Due to the quality control of brown pieces being easily broken Lego sold them for really cheap
Looks like it was a lot of fun! Too bad I missed it this year.
This video is 58 minutes and 12 seconds long, you sit on a. Throne of lies!

Love the footage, but really dislike straight track used in curves!
Those. do people come with their models, display them and play? How to get to such events?

I have no idea how many bricks in total, but I suspect it wil be in the ten thousands at least. Maybe even close to a hundred thousand

@32:32 wat voor rails zien we hier?
Dit zijn eigen gemaakte rails van Dirk, de ondergrond is van LEGO, en de spoorstaven zelf zijn metalen modelspoor rails

at 18:15 can someone tell me where to get those rods on that Steam engine? i like that solution!
I believe Tamás had them custom made for the loco by Breckland Bricks:
