Great videos! Can you please explain how to create lines when you are moving to a dominant by going up and down the scale to the third of the dominant you are going to? If we have 2 measures (scale up and down = 2 measures ) why only one note of the dominant we are going to?
Great! I would like to ask about how Barry uses the major second interval in his playing. I noticed in some of his educational videos as well as recordings that sometimes he plays some nice move and then he just plays a major second. I think these are the most beautiful moments in his music. I cannot give an example at the moment, but maybe you know what i mean?
@@isaacraz I think i heard him play the two notes of a major second together, of course it must be the harmonic context that makes it sound good. like 'g' ang 'a' of c6. I'll see if i can find it.
I’ve not seen them in their entirety but they are pretty mucha video recorded version of the live workshop. They do talk about many of his basic concepts
My brain hurts, so I subscribed! So glad this appeared in my queue.
wow, just wow. My brain hurts! thanks isaac! we missed you
3:49 G is a drop 3 in that particular inversion of C6
Have you considered writing a book about the Barry method
Working on it!
Hey Mr Raz, grateful
Love this content Isaac. You rock!
Im so lost i did not get any of this. You need a program to show the notes written out on screen as you play them please
Sweet move! Thank you for the share!
Isaac does rock..
Wow...
just wow
love this concept ... ever tried using the same procedure in the BH scales of chords? can get some cool sounds that way ...
Yes and there are other voicings you can use with it as well, although the three notes scale of chords would be an incredibly cool way
Cool! Thank you, Isaac!
