Thanks Terence it just so happens there are 3 holes roughly down the center of the part which are unused when the car is assembled so I drilled & tapped those so I could hole onto the plate from below - I’ll go back & drill them to size at the end - interestingly enough I didn’t quite mill deep enough so I didn’t get to test how well the screws really held - gotta redo this part anyways but it was certainly a good learning experience 🙂

👍Looking good. Having a slotted outline may help to keep the center piece stationary if there are no holes in the design for screws to hold it.
