In general you get what you pay for. If the price is too low to be true then the internals must be made from cheaper materials. Over seas they can fabricate beautiful looking exterior metals like many of the flashlights and other metal products for low cost. But the internals need to be robust too or these launchers will just start failing. I love the FSC/TCP platform because of how easy it is to break down, lube, inspect, and maintain. No guess work involved and the paintball market has all of the replacement parts. Power is only part of the Less Lethal defense equation.
I've had the same issue with my magazine on the Pistelle X-68. I've had no magazine issues with my IntruBuster. I've had both leak co2 from different O-rings. I've found that oil weakens some of the softer O-rings, so I stopped supplying oil. I only use MolyKote 33 light, and that's only on the stiffer O-rings. The larger O-rings don't seem to like oils or grease.
Well you saw my videos on it I agree there's room for improvement, I have a return ticket but I'm holding off, I talked to MCX where I purchased it, they are sending me a new replacement O-ring well see if it still gives me trouble it's OUT! shot three separate mag's over 3 day's 3rd day it leaked air, so I only got to shoot it twice' I believe the air cylinder is made of brass or looks like it that's probably why people are having crows threading issues
Ok, I got one for you. That spring loaded pivoting ball retainer bar thing at the top of the mag?......has a pin through it that the bar (go to 4:41, your index finger is directly above it) keeps popping out of place after every mag fired. You have tug on the mag kinda hard to remove it! I think that is going to damage it pretty soon. I am sure that the shock of firing it is the problem. What I did is put some glue on it because I did not know what else to do! Well, it's been working for now, but......... The only thing I can think of is replace the pin with one that is a hair longer, then somehow "peening" the tip of the pin to give it a bit of a rivet head to so the plastic edge can't slide off the pin.
I too have a byrna. Sometimes, they're carried at the same time. I'd get the Gavle, but I'm not a fan of the twist to pierce. I'd like to deploy my weapon and fire as quickly as possible. With the twist, it's not as easy💥💥💥
One guy I saw on UA-cam had his gun completely malfunctioned the first time he tried it out of the box he punctured the CO2 and it leaked internally action made me a bit concerned as I have the x68
I did see that also. There is always going to be 1 or 2 bad ones out there. Doesn't matter what brand. The x68 is the exact same thing. The only difference is the writing on the outside. Also, I love what you're doing with the Vigilante 💥💥💥
The pressure from the valve is also causing the threads to get all twisted from the power. And then there's the cross threading chance. That oring and threads are going to be a leak issue popping up with alot of these I believe... Truly, I hope not though! Good luck bro. And then there's two balls coming out
This is why I order the Pistelle X-68; because I'm just not sure about the fit/finish and customer service for these Intrabusters... Rumor has it the Intrabuster might be more powerful, but what does that matter if it goes down after two months and there are no viable replacement parts?
Same marker bud- just expect many problems to pop up in the days to come 😕 It sucks. But it's like a modified marker but only the valve is opened up and the detent, springs and etc... Was left out. I keep waiting for the back to pop off during a trigger pull... I mean if you look at a few side by side some are not the same length. I've seen enough to where I will keep doing what I do with what I know works and putting my twist on them. A person only needs so many. But reliable. Not where I have to have a few more with me in case of the issues all are having. It's not a guessing game not when your life depends on it...
OH ONE MORE THING , LOOSE THE , AT LEAST THAT GRIP EXTENSION , IT SEEMS TO PUT SIDEWAYS PRESSURE ON IT , YOU SEE THE THICK SILICONE GREASE I HAVE ON IT MAKE THE THREADS WORK GOOD , AS LONG AS I AM CONSCIENCE-SLY BEING CAREFUL WITH IT , IF THINGS GO SOUTH , MAYBE YOU CAN RETAP IT IF YOU ARE LUCKY ! DUNNO !!! I LIKE THE GRIP THING , BUT I FEAR IT WILL HELP TWIST IT IN WRONG DIRECTION IF FULLY NOT BEING AWARE OF ITS CROSSTHREAD POTENTIAL !!!! JUST GREASE IT ,NOT OIL , AND BE CAREFUL ALWAYS BRO , YOU MAY NEED THAT THING ONE DAY FOR REALZ !!!!
noticed same thing after using twist cap cover thing., it angles the beginning threads if not careful. Also when Pressing/Pressurizing it Can Depress the Puncture-Valve-Thing at an Angle.
That threading thing is why I won't get a grip extension for it. I would take some oil and some time and just slowly work out the starting point until it feels smoother. I think it can break in and become conditioned into not wanting to cross thread as easily.
“Cannot replicate” worst phrase to hear when you booked your car in for warranty. Parts will become available eventually for the X68. They are one and the same.
For sure will have issues. Can't be perfect this marker and the price its expensive for this gun. For this price must be good quality. They make one gun near to 50 joules and many people run to buy it.
The CO2 chamber is made from a very soft metal. That was a very bad choice made by the manufacturer. The threads can strip easily. It should have been made of steel.
yeah, seems the plug on mine gets abit stuck/too tight even when i put it on snug, i think its threading itself a little deeper every use., eventually will stop

These issues its more minor than i thought but im sure they gen 2 will fix all the issues when or iff it comes out.

I believe it’s the same valve as the S2 and you can screw it on or off I believe. Great info. Thanks
it is 👍, bought spare for $20 from thier site...
(my comments keep gettin removed on this...)
Again made in Taiwan. Plus it's the first edition. Which is why I own a Byrna and am awaiting the arrival of my Grimburg Gavle.
Gavle has issues too. Mine needs to be sent back for repair. Enjoying my Intrubuster though.

It's exactly the same as the Pistelle X-68. The only difference is the printing on the side💥💥💥

Are can get trapped in the chamber and the gun can actually fire with no CO2..

Yep, the grip extension didn't work out. It cross threaded too much and create a major issue so I decided to remove it.
