somehow we snuck into 100,000 subscribers last Friday (5/8/2020) which I just find crazy crazy, so thank you guys so much ♡♡
    ---
As always, thanks for coming along guys
I feel like we've gotten used to this standard of perfection on UA-cam that we forget we can just go outside and build things and play and not 100% know what we're doing, and it's t o t a l l y OK

I agree about the standard of perfection that exists in so many places. I don't know if this is in reference to comments that you received for this awesome fort you made but from what I could see, almost every comment with a suggestion or advice also came with positive support as well. As a long time subscriber of yours, who loves your videos, I have been impressed with the positive, friendly and supportive feedback you receive.

    • @hannahleeduggan
      @hannahleeduggan  4 роки тому +24

Amanda C me too! I love those comments, truly. I feel really lucky to have the subscribers and support that I have. It’s sometimes just the trickle of people who say things like “this is useless” who’ve been watching survivalist bushcrafters on UA-cam, that seem to have forgotten you can do things with little experience, and just for fun and in that regard are not “useless”.
I just want to keep reminding people it’s okay to not be exceptional at everything. I’m certainly not 😂

Yeah what he said. 😁 and it's not too far off from having more protection if you want it. It's a sound structure from what i remember. Very easy to add on to it 💖 you shouda seen my first attempt at a bubble tent!! 😂😂 i wrapped some branches in a dome shape and wrapped stretch film around it. Was too tiny for anything but a bed lol you'll do just fine as your skills progress 💖 i love your cedar hut

It's crazy that this young lady had to explain the purpose of her building this in such a way imo.. It was pretty obvious from the build video that it was just for fun. This is just another example of how the perception of one is not the perception of another.. I say rock on chic and do you! No need for reasons or explanations. 🤘❤✌

I findit sad that the notion of just building and making something entirely for fun and not for functionality has largely been lost. We as humans tend to dismiss anything that isn't "useful" and made in an almost professional way. Where's the fun, the creativity, the messing around just because you can and love to make stuff with your hands that doesn't have to serve a purpose?

I don't know how I came to this channel. Maybe on the right side some suggestion. But I like the three videos i had seen since now. It reminds me of my childhood, when i was building little cosy cages and houses in my room under a big desk, having a lamp and reading books. Maybe everyone did this. What i else like: It is not a serious bushcraft channel. It is really fun to watch. Thank you Hannah for the joy.

“Try my best” perfect slogan, and perfect attitude; don’t worry about knuckleheads, you’ll get it figured out. Regarding cold feet- those rubber boots you wear will cause your feet to sweat big time. Changing into a fresh pair of wool socks before bed should help.

Also can use an aluminum water bottle with boiling water from your camp fire wrapped in your socks. Does wonders in winter, dries your socks and you have unfrozen water for your morning coffee. I found it retains some heat until 3 or 4 in the morning depending on when you turn in

Stephanie Sturgeon - Same! Living in New York. I don’t think I could be as brave as as to sleep in the beautiful woods without fear of someone or something attacking me.

You go girl, more power to you, your fun build is fit for your purpose and was never intended as a survival shelter. But you are brave spending a night in the bush alone.. it was a good video.

I liked this video very much. How nice to be sleeping next to the stream and hearing it through out the night. Doesn't get any better than that.

Like in all your videos, your authenticity shines through. Love your “fort” (wish I could build that). Your grounded, nature-blissed adventure is just what my spirit needed to relax in these crazy times. I think I’ll go for a walk in the woods tomorrow! Love from Canada. 🇨🇦

Good for you love you don't have to explain your self to anyone.
It's great for your wellbeing just to get out into the fresh air and build something just like your fort just for fun.
You are out in the fresh air enjoying yourself and having fun you are not stuck in the house watching other people getting out in nature having fun.
Please keep doing what you are doing and don't take any notice of the negative people in the world.
    Stay healthy and stay safe.
    I love your videos. 💖💖🌹🌹

How adorable , makes me remember when I was young with my brothers in Tennessee. We did the same and blocked the stream to have a swimming hole
So much fun swinging on a rope to drop in the water. Enjoy
