Wonderful lyrics, beautiful melody. I haven't seen the movie (Government of my country wouldn't allow to air it in our theatres... Shame.) but the song also perfectly matches to Donbass warriors of freedom footages.
+Draugrulfr M same here, some governments are just too paranoic/want to cover their lies without a movie adding wood to the fire. As soon as i find a good link on 720p+ i'll download it.
Good question, I cannot remember how i watched it myself. I know that I discovered this movie on the Russian Free TV première. I also wanted to rewatch it because i missed some parts...but if i remember well I downloaded it and watched it in original version again. But tbh, i wanted to find a french version of it ... :( still don't know if there is an english or french version
I have searched everywhere for an English version. Although I don't really need it because I can speak Russian/Ukrainian, my friends have been curious about the movie.
Haha it was for the exact same reasons as me. Well in my researches i've found that they don't call it "Battle for Sevastopol" but for ex. the french called it "Resistance" at it's said that the movie came out in Europe on jan 2016
I don't know what you have, but Slavakia, for me and 90% of the Russians, is my own sister. No, don't think we want anything from you. But for your own sister, we'll fuck anyone. And I don't give a fuck that our government isn't holding up our urges. We'll protect Slovakov everywhere if we have to.

you don't need to know the language to understand. it's just that fucking good. same goes for the original Viktor Tsoi version. cheers and good afternoon from Australia.
This song was written long ago by Viktor Tsoi, and this is a remake of the singer. But the song is really beautiful, if you still understood its translation and meaning.
2 crore people(20 million) Soviet citizens died in this war. a very heavy price has been paid by them this movie should be used in India to encourage more woman to join military services I will encourage more of my people to see this movie soundtrack was nice I am huge Polina gagarina fan
Russian language, like any other Slavonic, is a kindred language for you. We had common ancestors of the Aryans. In Sanskrit, there are many similar words in numbers and pronouns. And also such simple words as Fire, Death, Knowledge, Living, Door and many other words in Russian and Sanskrit sound similar, much closer than in English. For example, the expression "That is your house, this is our house" in Russian and Sanskrit sounds similar. Russian language " Тоt vash dom, etot nash dom ", in Sanskrit " Tat vas dham, etat nas dham ".Number 234 Russian -"dwesti tridtsat chetire" Sanskrit -"dwsshata tridasha chatwari" zen.yandex.ru/media/id/5aa41b6ad7bf2168e38aa3e4/sviaz-mejdu-russkim-iazykom-i-sanskritom-5cbdd6f6bc785500b3b6d76a
I have Evgenia Medvedeva and her brilliant Gala routine for exposing me to this song. The music fits really well with the routine she does. The song is great. I'll have to watch the film some time.
They say France, Italian, Spanish and more from vest is so beautiful, but listen to Polina and you fell in love with russian people, they really have the most beautiful language on mother earth.
I read the comments and I am surprised that many people are learning or are going to learn Russian. This is a very difficult way. Anyway, what to climb on Everest. However, Kate Beckinsale knows Russian. She reads Russian literature easily in the original. What can I wish for? Dare!
If you listen hard enough you will not need too much translation it is extremely close to Serbian as most other Slav languages. Some Serbian accents are harder to understand than Russian!
@@zlatkolukic2251 True. I lived in Czech Republic for a few years and worked in a language school and knew Czechs who studied Russian and sometimes would go to Russia for two or three weeks and came back understanding the language. They just had to be immersed in the language for a couple of weeks. It works the other way also. I know so many Ukrainians who immigrated to Czech Republic and never studied the language. At first they didn't understand anything but after a few weeks understood nearly everything.
You don't have to watch the movie. Just read "The Battle of Sevastopol". Believe me, the movie is a fucking handicraft of what was really there. We always stood up for the Crimea to the last. Read the story.
Thanks to audition video of Yaroslava Degtyareva I was introduced to this song. Beautifully sang by Polina Gagarina. If you see the movie the Battle for Sevastopol you will somehow get goosebumps when you listen to this song. Makes me want to learn the language.
And if you come to Sevastopol, and go to those places. Where hundreds of thousands of my relatives burned, goosebumps are the last thing that will worry you.
Premda to nije bilo uvijek opravdano.
I always hear people say Russian language is harsh but I really like it. It sounds beautiful and strong.
anastasia * Yes, it's really attractive, strong and confident sounding.
Germans are logical, Italians are Passionate, and Russians are beautiful but cold.
Clearly you've never heard german, arabic or and Chinese languages lol
It fits the movie and mood; adding depth, real feeling and texture

The movie is about Lyudmila Pavlichenko - the most effective woman sniper in world history. 309 killed enemy soldiers, including 36 snipers.

and where are you from mate ?
exacly?
I heard this during the Olympics figure skating and I Shazam'D it. Great song... If only I could speak more than one language LOL!
One of the best War movies that I even seen before!! Just great!! 5 Stars
amazing movie, I loved it and also this song is so much suitable for it!
right?
May I ask you how you watched the movie if you're American? There are no good translations out there and I'm just curious.
Beautiful and aweasome song
From Turkey

You are wrong. Music and lyrics by Victor Tsoy, band "Kino" 1990. This is cover version by Polina Gagarina.
Well said...written just before his death.
I like Tsoi's better.
Both are awesome
The comment I was searching for 🙏
RIP Victor Tsoy, I recently discovered his music and I'm loving every song I heard so far, truly unique music
each time i listen to this song it gives me more and more pleasure! its just amazing!
Chills every time.
Best song that I've heard! Love it! 😍 From Slovakia🇸🇰
@@taimer5649 omg it was beautiful 😍 btw i always love Russia and everything from this state. Yours language is so wonderful and im so in love with you 😍😄 maybe its sounds wierd but i don't care because its true❤💪🏻🇷🇺🇸🇰💪🏻❤
you don't need to know the language to understand. it's just that fucking good. same goes for the original Viktor Tsoi version. cheers and good afternoon from Australia.
The author of music, lyrics and original performance is Viktor Tsoi (russian band "Kino" - album "Black Album - 1990).
This beautiful song moved me to watch the movie.

Beautiful music and wonderful history , both made this is a gift of art .and the world know about this true history that no everybody knows
Beautiful .... lots of love from Fiji 🇫🇯🇫🇯
Russia should come out with music like this more often!
This song was written long ago by Viktor Tsoi, and this is a remake of the singer. But the song is really beautiful, if you still understood its translation and meaning.
They have so many good songs like this but they don't reach the West often.
2 crore people(20 million) Soviet citizens died in this war. a very heavy price has been paid by them
this movie should be used in India to encourage more woman to join military services I will encourage more of my people to see this movie
soundtrack was nice I am huge Polina gagarina fan
Russian language, like any other Slavonic, is a kindred language for you. We had common ancestors of the Aryans. In Sanskrit, there are many similar words in numbers and pronouns. And also such simple words as Fire, Death, Knowledge, Living, Door and many other words in Russian and Sanskrit sound similar, much closer than in English. For example, the expression "That is your house, this is our house" in Russian and Sanskrit sounds similar. Russian language " Тоt vash dom, etot nash dom ", in Sanskrit " Tat vas dham, etat nas dham ".Number 234 Russian -"dwesti tridtsat chetire" Sanskrit -"dwsshata tridasha chatwari"

The meaning of the song is so good, because we paid 30 million lives for it.

Krasivaja pesen! Pozdrav so Serbii...
I have Evgenia Medvedeva and her brilliant Gala routine for exposing me to this song. The music fits really well with the routine she does. The song is great. I'll have to watch the film some time.
They say France, Italian, Spanish and more from vest is so beautiful, but listen to Polina and you fell in love with russian people, they really have the most beautiful language on mother earth.
yes French people from Quebec also adore when I speak in Russian language- everybody asks what is a beautiful language
I need to listen to the whole record but this song has to be my absolute favorite
It is a very sensible song.
Good for Eurovision . Hello from Romania
I'm Indian and i don't understand the words.. but it's so beautiful and emotional ❤
I read the comments and I am surprised that many people are learning or are going to learn Russian.
This is a very difficult way. Anyway, what to climb on Everest.
However, Kate Beckinsale knows Russian. She reads Russian literature easily in the original.
What can I wish for? Dare!
Greetings from US! Loved the movie and this song!
this song and the movie was amazing... suppper ..
Great movie and great soundtrack. I regret not paying enough attention at my Russian language classes
Amazing that you even had those classes. :-)
Is there anyone scrolling down the comments while song is playing...
I've gotten nostalgic about the comments ? :P
Everybody
This and Katyusha song are amazing! Even if I don't understand any word, I really like these two. Greetings from Turkey!

Everything about this is just beautiful! Doesnt matter if I dont understand the lyrics..the music itself already tells the story..

Super song! Greetings from Slovakia!
I love this version, so beautiful!
You don't have to watch the movie. Just read "The Battle of Sevastopol". Believe me, the movie is a fucking handicraft of what was really there. We always stood up for the Crimea to the last. Read the story.
I love this song.made my day.
Love from India. Forever ❤️
This makes me cry so much.
Nádhera! Silná emotivní skladba.
Beautiful song! I love russians! 🇷🇺 💖

I think Russian language is an interesting language. I'm trying to learning by myself.
YA TOZHE!
@@zed9095 the grammar is extremely difficult, be ready, don't give up
Yeah, I like the language as well. Fortunately I learned it from my dad. Keep going!
Try duolingo
amazing!! greetings from Greece
I'm in love with this song even though I don't understand a single word 😍😍💙💛
Premda to nije bilo uvijek opravdano.
Vladimir Maksimović Rusi ne vole previše drame i patetike!
