0:57 A tip for that mask: since the pole already covers you in both shots you can just have the mask cut through the middle of the pole, that way you don't need to worry about mask accuracy. It also hides the mask
Great tutorial! One thing I never seem to find an answer to though, is the following: I really miss an opportunity to use a tool similar to HSL Secondary, to puck out the blown-out areas in my footage and mask only those so that I can lower the exposure and highlights of those certain areas. In Lightroom, for example, I can use the MASK tool and select a Luminance Range to make those adjustments. IS THERE a way to do something similar in Premiere Pro? My film sequences are normally ok so that there is actual information in those areas, but after I've done all my color grading to the clips, areas like skies and certain spaces in a room might be blown out, and that is what I'm trying to compensate for..
Color grading trick is cool. But only for similar pictures with no obstacles. It'd be hard to apply it to a sky seen through the tree branches and a snow on the ground.
Every time I try to use that auto track mask it just sits there. I've done some research and other people have complained about that too. Does anyone know if this is a bug in the software?
I would like to teach you how to use the iPad app. I would like to have new ways of working outside the home. I follow from Thailand I love you for giving me good things to grow while working in Thailand.👽👽
Do you think masking is important in Premiere Pro? 🤔☁
Yes!
Very
It's how you create the coolest looking effects!
Masking is all we need
Masking in Premiere as a tool itself is terrible in compared to AE:)

In Adobe Premier 2025, is it possible to add a quick magnetic mask to an object or person like you can do in the new Final Cut Pro?
This ROCKS! Thank you!
