    are my people ,especially afro Americans

    400 years of slavery and counting
    And yet still strong and standing tall
    None of any other nations of blacks
    Can live under that much of unfairness
    Yet still survive , I have always admired afro American's courage
    I wish our leaders in africa

      Yeah The 300,000 union soldiers had nothing to do with it...
      Most of were poor, and many Irish immigrants who never even seen a slave before.

    Regarding the title: I do not belive she said that bc they knew they wereslaves. Some were afraid to go for fear of getting caught and punished.
