Absolutely interested in learning and sharing new recipes. Good job on the workout. I decided the last week of December that i was dedicating the entire month of January to base building. Then first week of February, i will start workouts again
Great idea. I bet you are counting the days until February! I did something similar. I had cut running down significantly leading up to this block. Hoping the extra time to heal and recover will help ward off future injuries. Thanks Brenda. Have fun building up your base. It's always nice to change things up a little. Have a great day.
I love making homemade chipotle. Rice, black beans, sauteed peppers, guac and salsa. It's really calorically dense (~700 calories) but it fills me up and it's on the cheaper end. As a college student on a budget, I'm unable to buy as much fruits and veggies as I'd prefer. I have this at least once a week if not more. Love the video and great info about doing a threshold test! Will certainly set time aside to do that.
I might have to look into the homemade chipotle. I haven't tried that yet. Have a great day.
Just catching up with your videos. How did lactate threshold test go?
I ran "Houston Marathon" on Sunday in 4:09:51. I was slower than last year (3:49:54), but I am satisfied with my results, however. My training was not as good which I commented a bit on your video on training and weather in Houston was hot, reaching 70F by the end, and over 95% humidity throughout. I ran mostly with 4h pace group. A lot of the runners dropped out of pace. I slowed down but kept running passing some of them. Actually, I passed one of the two pacers as well along the way.
Now that it is complete, I am now looking forward to Cherry Blossom 5k and 10mi races in DC (April 1st & 2nd). I am going to try half marathon plan in Strava as there is no specific 10mi plan. It is starting in Jan 23rd. HM plan is 10-week plan. Full Marathon plan in Strava is 12-week plan. These are a version of McMillan Running (Coach Greg McMillan's site) plans apparently. Strava did not include the runs in the running calendar yet. It might do so right before each week (like RunKeeper did with Garmin, when I did the RK Marathon Plan). I hope, I don't have to manually create them in Garmin Connect. Do you have any experience with Strava training plans?
I’m glad to hear you had a good experience in Houston. The warmer weather and high humidity take’s it’s toll. Great job! I haven’t used the training features in Strava yet. Let me know how you like it. Have fun with your new training block! Have a great weekend.
@@RunTall I started the 10-wk Strava HM plan this week. It looks like it is a decent plan. It is not integrating to the calendar as I thought but I created the corresponding workouts in Garmin and scheduled to the Garmin Calendar. It is a bit of work that way.
Recently happened upon your channel and really love all of the information you’ve shared. I’m curious what app you were showing that had your training calendar?
Hi and Welcome to the Run Tall Family! So the app is Connect Garmin that's installed on my phone. You can go to connect.garmin.com to get that info as well plus a whole lot more. I hope this helps! Have a great day.
@@RunTall Thank you!
I recommend editing down. You ramble on ... Get to the point.
Hey thanks for the input. I'm working on it. Happy Holidays.
