@@mikep7810 thanks Mike, just found your channel while researching the Tedder I appreciate the videos you made of it. I grew up on a dairy but now just do hay and construction. Check out my channel sometime if you get a chance. I use the Kuhns accumulator and grapple set up for squares.
Thanks Mike! Great comparison of the new vs old. A lot of improvements. Pequea must be popular on the east coast. I dont know of anyone that sells them in MN.
What made you get this over a Kuhn and etc? Is there a big price gap? They look like a pretty nice tedder. We been looking to upgrade our tedder and rake. We still got an old 4 basket kuhn manual fold out and a NH roll bar rake
Yes they were a little cheaper in price then some of the other ones at the time, I haven't priced out all the new ones yet so I'm not sure where they all stack up now. I'd like to give this one a try in the field and see how well it does
Good comparison video, they have made a lot of improvements. We looked at the 4 star, and I thought it was really well made. Grumpus was eyeballing that tandem box spreader they had up there last year, then we bought the Meyer, lol
looks like they have spent the last 8 years coming up with a better design an features most of those changes that were made can be fitted right on to yours it looks like.
It definitely looks like they have improved. The little stuff like the new jack and the pto holder would probably go on mine no problem but I'd rather trade mine in for the beefy frame and the finger type drive.
mikep7810 I agree with the bigger heavier frame but the frame didn't fail the weld failed so unless it's welded right the bigger frame will do the same.
You make some good points, however with the amount of money you will have to spend and time and labor to try to convert it I would rather have the brand new one with a 5 year warranty
Hey Mike! I know you now have the 6101. How is it holding up? I’m about to buy one and I’m a little nervous about it after researching it.
So far the 6101 has held up pretty good for us

Sounds cool I'll definitely check it out
I love the comparison between the old & updated new model.
Thank you
Great job on the tedder.
Thank you Craig
thanks for sharing very educational
Thank you for watching. The next step is to see how it teds the hay
Looks like they went back to work and fixed the main problems. It looks like the way it folds up would put a lot of stress on the frame.
I was impressed with the changes made
Nice comparison video you pointed out the differences.
Thank you
We've had some Tedder issues here lately
What kind of tedder do you have?
mikep7810 we have had a little for a number of years and I just bought a used pottinger from caz the other day
We have a neighbor that has a pottinger and really likes it. Let me know how you like it

They are made in Pennsylvania so that's probably why they are more east
Thanks Mike for the video like it .
Thank you!
Excellent video, can tell you’ve been around your Tedder a lot to pick up on the subtle changes they’ve made!
Thank you. You wouldn't think the jack was a big deal until you accidently punch the frame of the tedder lol
New one looks strong in design and better features
I agree
Great video mike
Thank you Matthew

Yeah I was thinking about how me and you were going over the tedder up at the farm days and thought how I should make a comparison video
mikep7810 yeah, at least you have a dealership close by to film on a Sunday, lol
That does make it handy. If it makes you feel any better I'm going to new jersey for my next video! lol
mikep7810 😂😂😂

mikep7810 if the shafts are the same size the finger couplers might fit. can't do much for the frame though.

Very nice video
Thank you John
Nice video!
Thank you! :)
Mike good video.
Thank you
That looks a lot like the Vermeer Tedder. Just the way that’s set up.
I haven't really looked at the Vermeer tedder. I have a cousin that works for Vermeer, I'll see what he thinks
That looks like a good Tedder also look forward the new Jersey trip video
I'm looking forward to showing off the old fords!
Buy aa Krone................
I'd buy a krone. I like their line up of hay equipment. The only problem is the nearest Krone dealer is over an hour away from me
Nice video, but I think those transport wheels are way too small.
I think they will handle going 20 mph behind a tractor
How many acres of Hay do you do per year?
It all depends if we pick up more fields or not. I'd say 150-200
Great video, maybe the newer tedders are better than the old one
Thank you! They look better out together, that's for sure.
Good morning to you.
Good morning
