Love the distinction here in looking for likes versus providing value! Definitely been learning lately how important it is to ask questions and find out what people need. You can't provide value until you know what people want. And the content that provides value is the stuff that gets in front of the most people too!
I think people get drowned out on education content even when looking for a certain product. They still want to be entertained. Also mortgages are odd in that you want to pull people in that aren't even interested but remember you when the time is right. 80/20 I think will work best. Im going to try that out first.
Great interview and content as usual! I think I saw each of you right before you conducted this interview at L1 haha. One thing I should point out only as a counter thought to your point about auto posting. Each of you are looking through your pov on this. You two ARE gurus. You two ARE engaging and authentic so of course as social media experts you aren't down with those services. Remember how you started this interview however. There is a real apathy in our industry for mortgage and real estate experts to put in the effort to become a social media guru. That's ok because people are really busy and this takes work to be great when everyone is already working a full time job. The other audience is the consumer base which absolutely finds good content meaningful especially at the beginning of the first time home buyer phase. Just some thoughts to spur discussion. Please keep posting and spreading the word. I know that many in the real estate world find so much value in what each of you bring to us every day. Cheers! KP
KPdx13 thanks for chiming in and sharing your perspective! You’re right, social media is work and takes effort amongst all the other things that LO’s and agent/broker/Realtors are asked to do. Success is always earned and the rent is due everyday. Execution is key and leverage is absolutely necessary to help duplicate your efforts!

That was super useful when Megan told the audience about the script section in MBS highway I had no idea that existed.
That was an amazing tip - are you an MLO?
