Meaning you can’t ask Siri to turn on the lights if the phone is laying down on a table, it’ll ask for to unlock the phone, same thing if you ask someone to turn on the lights from the widgets locked screen. If someone knows a way around it I’ll love to hear it. Thanks

@@macmost When I bring up google chrome browser there used to be a button that said add shortcut. When you click on it and then type a website in the search, it would save that website as a shortcut on google chrome browser.
@@karenhamer Do you mean like a bookmark? I guess I've never seen something called a "shortcut" in Chrome. If not a bookmark, what did a "shortcut" do that a bookmark did not?
@@macmost I guess maybe, but it's on my google chrome home page. It's round and says add shortcut. It places a shortcut or bookmark right there on the google chrome homepage so for frequent sites you don't have to search through all of your bookmarks. I really don't know how else to explain it. Do you have an email that I could send you a picture of it to help explain?
Yet another great shortcut to use. Does this work only with google, or also with other apps that are Google compatible? I use different apps for Globe lights and outlets, and a different app for my thermostat. It would be nice if I could control it all with just siri.
Those apps would need to add Shortcuts compatibility first. But if you have set up those lights and switches in the Google Assistant app, then you can use what I show here.
Is there a way to sort the pined short cuts in mean bar in a particular order? I have recently modified some of them and had to re-pin them in the menu bar and their order has changed. I would like to have the most used one as the first one.

Can you please create an automation for 'Enabling Wi-Fi Calling' as soon as I enter my office and 'Disabling Wi-Fi Calling' as soon as I leave my office network?
There would need to be a Shortcuts action for Wi-Fi Calling and there isn't. Probably because Wi-Fi Calling is a provider-specific function, not available to everyone.
@@macmost I actually just added a Wait for 5 seconds, which is enough time usually for Google Assistant to get done turning on my dehumidifier. I could even lower it to 1 second.

In the video your flow was User: “Hey siri, ask google” Siri: “What would you like to ask google” User: “**Insert dynamic custom command**” Instead, is it possible to combine the 2 prompts and just ask siri once: User: “Hey siri, ask google to **insert dynamic custom command**”

If you can say it to the Google Assistant app, then it should work here. Try it.

Ok, just figured it out. Sort the short cuts in the Shortcuts App and the menu bar will show the same sort order.

If your devices are in Google Assistant, that is a different system than Apple Home.

Not sure. You can always add a command to go to the Home Screen after it ends.
