we got an off-field/support pyro every region (thoma, dehya, chev) we're also getting the pyro traveler in 5.3, who is an off-field dps, and mawika has her ring mode that does off-field pyro damage in a pretty big radius according to the leaks

There’s no reason to have Bennett on field for any longer than that unless you want to build a DPS Bennett or something like that.

About 5 months ago they released a pyro DPS that powercreeped every pyro character in the game. And now they will release ANOTHER pyro DPS who's charge attack is X4 times characters like Diluc's for example ... Basically Hoyo is saying Bennett and Xiangling are eternal and we will never give you any other good pyro supports!
If I were to adjust her it would definitely nerf on-field role and then keep tap skill damage the same but change the interval to every 1.5 seconds and make the skill last longer at C0. That would be all you would have to do to make her more useful and not broken IMO

Genshin community really overrates xiangling to an absurd degree. She is not this amazing character, its more that there are a lot of teams that are forced to run bennett and she comes as a package deal. Due to that almost everyone has built a team that doesn't use those 2 for the other abyss side.
Literally all limited 5-star pyro characters are main DPS (Arlecchino, Hu Tao, Klee, Lyney, and Yoimiya). I wanted the pyro archon to be different and act as an enabler for a variety of teams. Furina, Nahida, Zhongli and even Raiden can work in a bunch of different teams to bring out other characters' strengths. Instead we get another pyro main DPS who is currently just a power creeped Arlecchino. Enjoy playing circle impact with Bennett for another 3 years if you want to use big damage teams, everyone.
People are really underrating her off field/subdps potential. She can output more than Xiangling level of dmg (even when Xiangling is buffed by benny) on her own without any energy issue. And unlike Xiangling she can buff the team. The only issue with her is less pyro application but not many team rely on that much pyro app

A mega diluc 6 months after arle release is definitely nobody asked for. Those who wanted yet another Pyro dps need help. And the players will get her anyway coz of the archon tag. We are heading straight to HSR system if they don't normalise Mavuika. Natlan character cons powercreeping Fontaine characters was already aggravating, when fontainian cons themselves were bad powercreep to sumeru and before content. I always appreciated genshin being a powercreep healthy game where a character can get pushed from C tier dps to A with future adjustments. But the current trend in natlan feels absolutely disgusting. Whoever is cooking constellation kits needs to get out of the kitchen.
lad, noone even using those new POWERCREEP units (check out statistic). even sigweine is more used than mualani. noone cares if she delete content withing 3 hits at c1r1 in 3 cost team (with pure 4* teammates). and this is because theyir gameplay sucks or have issues in real battle rather than just pure calcs. And yea Zajef a bit overreacting her on-field damage. She is great but still a bit worse than Arle right now in terms of Raw MV per rotation at c0r1 and her c1 is much weaker than arle's c1 (but c2 is better)
Man the game doesnt even have an endgame mode. Abyss level 12 is a joke (you can clear it easily with C0 characters with good builds). HSR is a different case coz its endgame is way way harder than genshin’s hardest content. Those cons are just there for bait
Shes actually the first pyro dps im interrested for and I dont have any pyro dps since the beginning of the game. Imagine the idea of skipping a character. Crazy right. The powercreep is noticable. But at the same time Natlan character are way easier to build which is what everyone asked for.
as someone who disliked the gimmick of all the on-field pyros so far, i'm happy we're getting one that finally doesn't have a crippling gimmick i DO hope they change the numbers to make her more focused on NAs than CAs though, and the fact that she gains points from NAs and not CAs, i imagine that was their intention in the first place
I'm so dissapointed in Mavuika as a Pyro Archon, the previous one buffed a lot of past onfielders while elevating the current ones. She needs more ways to buff the pyro reactions and serve as a support because we don't need another pyro onfielder (we got 3 the previous year btw).
off field pyro app is already enough for me but it’s unfortunate that her pyro app is only 1GU even tho it has no icd on top of that its really slow (2s) + her dmg buff is only when u use ur ult and switch off to other character i hope they buff her supportive capabilities
Imo it just makes sense for her to be a dps character. She's the first archon where she's actively fighting wars and where she isn't a retired archon or a puppet. But I do understand that there's a lot of pyro dps, I have hutao and arle already. Hopefully, they can manage to make her kit work on other teams
I am very disappointed, Bennet is still the ONLY viable choice in atk-scaler teams after 4 years! Also I hate power creep, why would I pull her just to replace Hutao and Arle who I tried so hard to build! This is what Ayato players feel when they release Neuvillette

I really don't like how dependent on other Natlan chars she is. I skipped all of them because i was saving up for her, which just ended up hurting her performance
if you skipped that many you probably intend on constellations. wait until you see them, they are likely to affect the degree to which she is reliant. i can easily see c1 or c2 doubling the effect of nightsoul burst on her burst charge, for example, which would leave her wanting either 40 through normal atks or just any other Natlan unit since she herself would get 160 instead of 80. at c0 she really really wants Xilonen. after that it may be far less restricted. Or maybe they also release another unit that uses more NS each rotation. High odds that this issue is removed with cons, like is typical of a bunch of recent releases.
I REALLY don’t get why they did that???? Like, obv so people go oh no! I need more natlan characters! And panic and pay, but from a player enjoyment perspective??? They’re evidently trying to see an acheron-style playstyle, but acheron works so well because the f2p options for nihility are so good AND easy to get. PLUS they work well in other teams besides her own. The only natlan charactes that currently work well outside their own designated teams are xilonen, kachina and ororon. And ororon is VERY limited to his playstyles if you want him to perform at max efficiency, kachina is… kachina, she’s not bad, she’s not good. And xilonen is a 5*. It honestly puts me off mavuika lol. I would really hate having my teams be that limited if i just wanted to consistently use her burst.
They know the second they drop Mauvika's drip marketing, banner sales will dry up until she's out. The same exact thing happened with Miyabi in ZZZ recently: they drip marketed the other banner for the patch, but then left Miyabi mains on read for about a week before beta leaks started coming out to drip market Miyabi.
Ask for a Xiangling replacement then Mavuika becomes the Pyronado, her off-field pyro app is literally Dehya Ultra Pro Max yet not faster than Xiangling's, and add more irony she can make donuts around so good inside Bennett's circle.
I think the base atk buff from her C2 should be added to her base kit but tweaked to be teamwide or at least active for current party member. It'd help with her support role as an archon, since she lacks that weirdly enough (her only team buff is that reverse DMG% Yelan talent). Her 35% ATK buff talent could be team-wide, or again just for the active unit. Her e. skill interval should be lowered from 2s to 1,5s, and her nightsoul limit raised to 120 (basically move that part from her C1 to the base kit, since i believe 24s duration should be the default for an archon, not constellation bait). And of course, for all these buffs to her off-field/support side, they could nerf the on-field dmg from her burst.
I watched so many other videos about mavuika's kit and was still so confused what she does. Zajeff's explanations of hoyo's jargon are always the clearest. Thanks Zajeff!

She isn't similar enough in the way that counts. Raiden skill can trigger every 0.9s, while mavuika's is going off every 2s. Only two seed explosions can damage an enemy per 0.5s (including burgeon and hyperbloom), so half the seeds you generate between mavuika hits are going to waste. You'd be legitimately better off running thoma if you want to burgeon. He has lower pyro app, but more frequent pyro damage, which is exactly what you want from a burgeon bot.
I just want her off field pyro application rate to increase significantly. If that comes at the price of her damage being nerfed, I’m all for it. I get that some people want an on field dps archon, but do we really need the 60th pyro on fielder.
Oh yeah. Mavuika gonna revive my C4 ayaka as a subdps cryo applicator and Def shredder for mavuika to melt those crazy burst scalings. Also helps that mavuika dmg% buff is frontloaded. Gonna check out citlali kit as well cause gonna need 2 cryo applicators if mavuika field time exceeds the 5 seconds of ayaka burst duration.
There's no way you want an archon that fights wars, just to be a pure off-field pyro applier. I hope they can make her be a good off-field pyro support as well, but to me, it just makes sense for her to be a dps also.

I think I'll just wait for the last couple of weeks of this patch to see how Mavuika changes instead of panicking and raging like all the people who *read* her stats. I remember when people said Furina was gonna be awful for similar reasons. Really, what we actually need to wait for is the livestream, specifically to see what ends up changing. They've been building up to the finale since Natlan's release for something massive, especially with the Pyro Traveler. I'm more curious as to what about Genshin will change once the archon quest for Natlan ends because they've been heavy handed with the implications for a while now. So I'll leave people to cope and seethe for the next month and we'll see how its going by then
Literally just nerf her burst a bit and put some more buffs to her sub dps/support side and she would be perfect, maybe lowering the value of burst but incrisin the dmg of tap skill and making the interval 1.5 sec
i'm kinda see she being balanced like Mualani and be launched looking like a strong DPS but not really outshining Arlecchino right away. And they lowering her E damage but giving faster hits instead.

I'd be shocked if it ends up being true Xiangling Powercreep as well, because of seemingly how easy it is to access her Off Field Pyro damage and app right now... Perhaps they might buff her Pyro App to be overall the same as Xiangling's? I guess since she's a) the Archon and b) a 5* she might also be buffed to do marginally more off-field damage... But I kinda hope not by too much.

Even if they nerf her solo damage, I love how she still has enough room to where if she gets buffed, she's still god tier. Adding her as a support option, she's still great. Honestly a solid Archon no matter what they do with her between nerfing her solo and buffing her support, whatever it is, she'll be great

I also love Arlecchino, and was thinking about getting her and her scythe. However, since it appears Mavuika is a Pyro DPS, much like Arlecchino, and getting both as a F2P might not be the best option, so I'd love to see them side by side. Well, after some nerfs. I had no idea Mavuika's numbers were this high... I also really want to get Xilonen, since the day I was gonna pull for her, her banner was gone.

She semms to be competitive with xiangling y her position with the actual kit. The people nedd to understand that even if she is not exactly a xialing , the teams were you reblace her are not a downgrade.

A mega diluc 6 months after arle release is definitely nobody asked for. Those who wanted yet another Pyro dps need help. And the players will get her anyway coz of the archon tag. We are heading straight to HSR system if they don't normalise Mavuika. Natlan character cons powercreeping Fontaine characters was already aggravating, when fontainian cons themselves were bad powercreep to sumeru and before content. I always appreciated genshin being a powercreep healthy game where a character can get pushed from C tier dps to A with future adjustments. But the current trend in natlan feels absolutely disgusting. Whoever is cooking constellation kits needs to get out of the kitchen.
lad, noone even using those new POWERCREEP units (check out statistic). even sigweine is more used than mualani. noone cares if she delete content withing 3 hits at c1r1 in 3 cost team (with pure 4* teammates). and this is because theyir gameplay sucks or have issues in real battle rather than just pure calcs. And yea Zajef a bit overreacting her on-field damage. She is great but still a bit worse than Arle right now in terms of Raw MV per rotation at c0r1 and her c1 is much weaker than arle's c1 (but c2 is better)
Man the game doesnt even have an endgame mode. Abyss level 12 is a joke (you can clear it easily with C0 characters with good builds). HSR is a different case coz its endgame is way way harder than genshin’s hardest content. Those cons are just there for bait
Shes actually the first pyro dps im interrested for and I dont have any pyro dps since the beginning of the game. Imagine the idea of skipping a character. Crazy right. The powercreep is noticable. But at the same time Natlan character are way easier to build which is what everyone asked for.
as someone who disliked the gimmick of all the on-field pyros so far, i'm happy we're getting one that finally doesn't have a crippling gimmick
i DO hope they change the numbers to make her more focused on NAs than CAs though, and the fact that she gains points from NAs and not CAs, i imagine that was their intention in the first place

I'm so dissapointed in Mavuika as a Pyro Archon, the previous one buffed a lot of past onfielders while elevating the current ones. She needs more ways to buff the pyro reactions and serve as a support because we don't need another pyro onfielder (we got 3 the previous year btw).
off field pyro app is already enough for me but it’s unfortunate that her pyro app is only 1GU even tho it has no icd on top of that its really slow (2s) + her dmg buff is only when u use ur ult and switch off to other character

Imo it just makes sense for her to be a dps character. She's the first archon where she's actively fighting wars and where she isn't a retired archon or a puppet. But I do understand that there's a lot of pyro dps, I have hutao and arle already. Hopefully, they can manage to make her kit work on other teams
I am very disappointed, Bennet is still the ONLY viable choice in atk-scaler teams after 4 years!
Also I hate power creep, why would I pull her just to replace Hutao and Arle who I tried so hard to build!

I really don't like how dependent on other Natlan chars she is. I skipped all of them because i was saving up for her, which just ended up hurting her performance
if you skipped that many you probably intend on constellations. wait until you see them, they are likely to affect the degree to which she is reliant. i can easily see c1 or c2 doubling the effect of nightsoul burst on her burst charge, for example, which would leave her wanting either 40 through normal atks or just any other Natlan unit since she herself would get 160 instead of 80. at c0 she really really wants Xilonen. after that it may be far less restricted. Or maybe they also release another unit that uses more NS each rotation. High odds that this issue is removed with cons, like is typical of a bunch of recent releases.

They’re evidently trying to see an acheron-style playstyle, but acheron works so well because the f2p options for nihility are so good AND easy to get. PLUS they work well in other teams besides her own. The only natlan charactes that currently work well outside their own designated teams are xilonen, kachina and ororon. And ororon is VERY limited to his playstyles if you want him to perform at max efficiency, kachina is… kachina, she’s not bad, she’s not good. And xilonen is a 5*.
It honestly puts me off mavuika lol. I would really hate having my teams be that limited if i just wanted to consistently use her burst.
C1 fixes that.

Ask for a Xiangling replacement then Mavuika becomes the Pyronado, her off-field pyro app is literally Dehya Ultra Pro Max yet not faster than Xiangling's, and add more irony she can make donuts around so good inside Bennett's circle.
I think the base atk buff from her C2 should be added to her base kit but tweaked to be teamwide or at least active for current party member. It'd help with her support role as an archon, since she lacks that weirdly enough (her only team buff is that reverse DMG% Yelan talent). Her 35% ATK buff talent could be team-wide, or again just for the active unit.
Her e. skill interval should be lowered from 2s to 1,5s, and her nightsoul limit raised to 120 (basically move that part from her C1 to the base kit, since i believe 24s duration should be the default for an archon, not constellation bait). And of course, for all these buffs to her off-field/support side, they could nerf the on-field dmg from her burst.
I watched so many other videos about mavuika's kit and was still so confused what she does. Zajeff's explanations of hoyo's jargon are always the clearest. Thanks Zajeff!

She isn't similar enough in the way that counts. Raiden skill can trigger every 0.9s, while mavuika's is going off every 2s. Only two seed explosions can damage an enemy per 0.5s (including burgeon and hyperbloom), so half the seeds you generate between mavuika hits are going to waste. You'd be legitimately better off running thoma if you want to burgeon. He has lower pyro app, but more frequent pyro damage, which is exactly what you want from a burgeon bot.

I just want her off field pyro application rate to increase significantly. If that comes at the price of her damage being nerfed, I’m all for it. I get that some people want an on field dps archon, but do we really need the 60th pyro on fielder.

Oh yeah. Mavuika gonna revive my C4 ayaka as a subdps cryo applicator and Def shredder for mavuika to melt those crazy burst scalings.
Also helps that mavuika dmg% buff is frontloaded.

I think I'll just wait for the last couple of weeks of this patch to see how Mavuika changes instead of panicking and raging like all the people who *read* her stats. I remember when people said Furina was gonna be awful for similar reasons. Really, what we actually need to wait for is the livestream, specifically to see what ends up changing. They've been building up to the finale since Natlan's release for something massive, especially with the Pyro Traveler. I'm more curious as to what about Genshin will change once the archon quest for Natlan ends because they've been heavy handed with the implications for a while now. So I'll leave people to cope and seethe for the next month and we'll see how its going by then
Literally just nerf her burst a bit and put some more buffs to her sub dps/support side and she would be perfect, maybe lowering the value of burst but incrisin the dmg of tap skill and making the interval 1.5 sec
