I saw John perform this in a lecture at our local magic shop in the early 90's when I was just getting into magic. I even have an autographed copy of the book! :-) This effect almost didn't make it into the book, but the publisher thought it was so strong that they delayed the publishing to get it in. Wonderful effect! Thanks for doing a video about it.
Bannon's routines always please because the plots are so strong and have a sense of leadibg down tge garden path then turning the hose on them. This is one I have never seen before. Thanks Craig.
Hidden Gems is easily my favorite of all of Craig’s segments. Much nostalgia! For a one card one spectator version (same plot/method) check out Impromptu Stunner by Bob King.
I forgot all about this trick. I've done this for 2 people before but 3 is ideal. I like Craigs way of presenting it! Thanks for the videos Craig, ive added a few from watching your hidden gems. Another great one I still do today from Mr. Bannon is called Play it Straight Triumph. I forget if its on his Smoke and Mirrors or Impossiblia. Check it out👍🪄

Such a brilliant effect - just be sure to have a full deck. It's 100% necessary.
Such a good effect. Remember learning this on the virtual Magic club
Just bought all 4 of Johns download dvds
The guy is a fucking genius absolutely unreal self working card magic highly recommended
I wonder if audiences would ever ask why one person had to sit on cards that are never brought back into the routine.
I've Never had anyone ask about the cards they sit on or set aside
@@toddslater7953 thank you
