Hi! The focuser is not plastic, like the Orion. The Apertura AD series focuser is made of machined aluminum for optimal build quality and performance. This is the same focuser on our AD8,10,12 series Dobsonians. Thanks!
Hello I am HUGE space nerd who loves to watching up on the night sky with full of stars, I have small telescope for starters but I've been thinking buying a new telescope and that Apertura ad6 dobsonian telescope looks really powerful and beautiful, but it's price $499/499€ is too much for me maybe I'll check cheapear telescopes I wan't to buy a telescope where I can put my phone or camera for it. Can you use this telescope with a camera? I have a sony a6000 camera I would like to use as a beginner astrophotography setup.
Get a refractor, not a dobsonian, for astrophotos.
