The algorithm just randomly showed me this, and oh my god what a great video, this whole thing was so cool to watch, had me hooked through the entire video even though the title and thumbnail already say you caught it. Nice, I once made a lv 5 legit dragonite and tyranitar in Leaf green by using the pomeg glitch to send out an egg then switch trained it with a glitchy egg pokemon named - that only knew thunder punch. You level the egg up to lv 55, it evolves, and when it hatches it becomes lv5. If only it was allowed in little cup!

So does this confirm that trainers in the battle tower and the battle frontier can randomly generate shinies? I know battle pyramid hunts in Emerald are common now.
@@eddiesussex a working internal battery is not required to find random shinies, without going into technical specifics, all a dry battery does is prevent you from soft-reset shiny hunting. Additionally, the glitch that I used in this video is able to be done to catch any battle tower Pokémon, regardless of whether it is shiny or not

Thanks for opening my eyes to this method! After a few months of and a little over 2000 battles, I got a shiny, perfect IV'ed Flygon! I copied your method to a T (except changing Poliwrath to Surf to avoid Counter). And I will say that the bulbapedia spreadsheet is wrong about the natures. The Flygon I caught should have had a Serious nature according to Bulbapedia, but in fact has the Hasty nature (a perfect ability for a mixed attacker)!

Swampert is my favourite pokemon so seeing this vid got me hyped too. Also, its shiny looks in gen 3 waaaay better than in other games. The pink color is much darker (and matches the masterball more) which i prefer more.
Man. I remembered my first shiny back in the day same gameboy (sp) emerald version. It's a trapinch . I didn't knew it was shiny but the color is different so i catch it. After finishing the pokemon league, it suppose to continue after "the end" credit. But when it reloads it says the file has corrupted. Maybe the battery ran out. Then i told my friend that i caught a weird looking pokemon. And he freakout and told me it's a shiny pokemon and incredibly rare. So i start from the scratch maybe i can see one again which is not the case because everytime i finish the elite 4, the file always corrupting. That's also the reason why i memorized every single thing in emerald. i keep playing it over and over again lol. P.s. i didn't know that the cartridge need batteries to maintain the savefiles lol. As a kid I don't give a damn. I just play over again if it corrupts
Sucks that happened to your save but it was unrelated to the battery. Batteries can run dry in gen 3 games and the save will always be fine, hate to break this to you but you may have had a fake Emerald cartridge, as they have a tendency to delete saves on their own and never have internal batteries... sorry to hear about the Trapinch though, if it makes you feel any better I failed a shiny trapinch in ORAS on my birthday because I didn't know it had take down haha
@@primalswampert1050 you are indeed correct. I had a repro emerald version and after i beat the elite 4 i tried to soft reset for a shiny rayquaza and it got corrupted and deleted.

Sadly this glitch doesn’t work in Emerald, and other glitches that exist in that game to catch trainer Pokémon create bad eggs
