Your videos are getting better and better! I've been barefoot with wide feet since 2020 and following you since then. Going barefoot made a huge difference in my posture, balance, and strength. Your shoe finder is a long-needed much appreciated resource. Please add Freets to it. They're all I've worn for the last several years since they run wide. I'm looking forward to seeing what else might fit from your list. Btw, you've probably experienced this. When you have confined your toes for years and go barefoot, your feet will naturally widen. Almost all long-term barefoot folks will need wide shoes, and those of us with wide feet to start with will need very wide shoes. I wish these companies would sell their shoes in multiple widths. Few do.
Thank you for making this video, but as someone with a flatter foot all my life, all the shoes you show here kill me from just looking at them. Flatter shoes are just torture devices for me. Stability shoes with a mild drop but with enough cushioning are just a godsend for me, like the Hoka Arahi 7s.
Tell me about it I'm heavily flat footed.. you should try going to " fleet feet " store not sure if you have one in your area but they put your feet on a machine and let you know what shoes you need..
He really knows what he's talking about. But it takes time to adjust if you have pronated flat feet. But you won't have totally flat feet if you work at it. I suggest watching videos on Grown and Healthy. He has flat feet and shows you how he improved his feet and balance, posture, and strength and he also uses barefoot shoes.
I believe Carets barefoot shoes has recently developed a certified safety shoe. We are planning on getting our hands on a pair for review and possibly listing them on our site too.
Thank you for your feedback. You can find the list we covered, with a summary of their features in the blog: barefootstrength.com/find-my-shoes/shoes/presets/health/flat-feet/
I have had flat feet my whole life and have worn zero drop shoes for the last 10 or more years. My calves are still tight and feet still flat as pancakes😂! I still love my altars but do not see a difference sadly
Hmm interesting... Have you exercised your calves to become flexible or been actively conscious of how your lifestyle on a daily basis affects your feet? I'm not sure, just guessing but Maybe other parts(joints & muscles etc..)of your body might be over compensating so you might see much difference.
I have flat feet and have used barefoot shoes for walking since June. No bad experiences yet although I'm suffering from a knee injury atm but it's likely not related to my choice of shoe. For running I have transitioned to lower stack shoes with varying drops but 5-6mm feels like the perfect amount. High drop shoes with massive stacks which is the industry standard pretty much feel really invasive and awkward.
I tried going barefoot but ended up getting hurt! I have an odd alignment issue where I have one foot thats flat and one foot that has a nice arch. if you're like me don't go barefoot yet! Would love a specific video on those with my issue! I've been trying to work on it for a long time, but havent had much success. I notice when I squat that the( flat foot side). My heel cant get to to the ground like the other foot. So I have some sort of shortening in my left calf/achilles. Im not sure where thats coming from.
The latter part of the video includes running shoes, but im getting that certain shoe brands are being pushed over the usual Brooks, Asics, Hoka, Saucony, etc.
We reached out to Xero about this. They said that they will continue selling the 360 model in the US for the foreseeable future, but have temporarily discontinued in Europe.
I absolutely understand this, but what if you have hypermobile ankles that get subluxations constantly?? What do we do to help both? I have tight calves, and flat flat feet. Wide foot up top, tiny heels.
Quick question... Did you receive my message through the contact form of the website? I purchased your courses and asked you a question through the form. But I didn't receive any confirmation that you received my message.
Love your content. Could you please do a video on Morton's neuroma. I can't be barefoot because of my toe cyst. Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks.
I always walked barefoot as a kid. Became flat footed as I got older. When I walk barefooted now, my arch and ankle hurt so bad. Minimal support shoes are killers for me. What am I supposed to do?
Hi there. QQ. Ive been wearing barefeet shoes for about a year now. However recently i keep waking up and the soles of my feet are very sore and achy. Im not sure whats causing this, is there anything i can do stop the pain? Tia
I wonder how to reconcile this with traumatologists and orthopeadist recommending drop, artificial arch support, stability soles and stiff heel counters in case of flexible flat feet?! They only agree with the wide toe box, but otherwise they tell me that overexercising overpronation will hurt my feet and leg joints. (Besides flexible flat feet, I have Sinus Tarsi Syndrome after an inversion over a year ago.)
@@cyclechick313Right. Those are too narrow for me, but the platform shape helps (stability shoes do this more formally). Barefoot promoters say that overpronation is not a problem and natural... but my sinus tarsi syndrome says otherwise, at least in my specific case!
They are a new crop of brands focused on producing barefoot shoes. You can learn more about the qualities of barefoot shoes here: bfs.fit/barefoot-shoes

Hmm Intriguing... Have you tried to find out why & what part of wearing zero drop is causing your lower back to hurt? Maybe a different lifestyle or posture training or strengthening & stretching will help? Just thinking.... 🤔
The Mizuno Wave Horizon 1 and Hoka Gaviota 3 work well for my flat feet. No pain. For 5k/10k racing, I wear the adidas adios Pro 3 since it "throws" my feet outward eliminating the overpronation. Gotta love the energy return as well.
Shoes without bottoms cause bruises to bottom of my feet. No point in wearing "shoes" that are basically the equivalent of going barefoot. You run a big game to make money. Less money into a product and advertise it as purposeful on behalf of the consumer. Not fooling me today besides wasting my time.
You need to 1. change how you're walking and 2. do a transition period I went hiking in aqua socks that are barely shoes. No bruises, no pain. But I've been in barefoot shoes for over 10yrs

Smart idea to make a guide! After listening to your cannel for years, I intuitively followed your guide to a T.
Awesome! Thanks for your continued support and feedback. How have you progressed over the years using our methods?
Your content is so high quality. Thank you for spreading this very important problem and solutions!
Thank you for your feedback and support! Means a lot 🙏🙏
Been wearing Hykes Escapes barefoot shoes and love them, will never go back to regular shoes.
Thank you!!!
My husband has flat feet.
Sent this to him 😉👍🏽

I agree, I have flat feet and need cushioning for high-impact workouts, without the cushioning my knees get wasted. I'll check out the Hoka's, thanks.
I agree. Barefoot shoes with flat feet = peroneal tendonitis. Need that cushion. This up guy doesn’t have flat feet so he doesn’t know our situation

Working in construction at about 10 hours a day, six days a week, and per OSHA must wear steel-toe shoes. Suggestions???

Oh, that would be wonderful! Thank you 😊
@@hischild8483 Check out the Baak Phoenix
Hi, just a suggestion, when saying the shoe name, you could write it on the video so we can exactly know which model and make are you referring to.

Great videos, like always.
Would you be able to do one video of how to properly walk in barefoot shoes or totally barefoot?

Could you do a video on the best running shoes, my current running shoes are Brooks and im not sure if there bad for my feet
The latter part of the video includes running shoes, but im getting that certain shoe brands are being pushed over the usual Brooks, Asics, Hoka, Saucony, etc.
They've discontinued the Xero 360, I asked them about it. It was my favorite shoe out of all Xero shoes.
We reached out to Xero about this. They said that they will continue selling the 360 model in the US for the foreseeable future, but have temporarily discontinued in Europe.
@@barefootstrength Ah that's why. I reached out too, and they didn't mention that it was Europe only (temporarily). Thanks for clarifying that to me!
What types of shoes would be good for cycling? I feel the outsole on my xero prio is a bit too soft and flexible.
great video, I need more formal wear wide shoes
Here is our full list of formal barefoot shoes: barefootstrength.com/find-my-shoes/shoes/presets/style/smart/
What else other that zero-drop? Barefoot FTW!
💯 after 5 years exclusively wearing barefoot shoes, I couldn’t imagine going back to traditional designs. My toes hurt just thinking about it 😅😅

is airforce good for flat feet

Flat footed with a herniated disc, i cant walk in flexible or flat shoes, its painful and makes the pressure on outer side of foot. Whats the advice?
do u know what the brand is called where it looks like a v and is made up of hexagons?
