Good morning, birds. Chirping already. Amazing views of the mountains and valleys in the early sunrise.

Ambient Exploration: Wonderful adventure for me while on my treadmill! You took us to the old ruins of Takeda Castles to its 460 steps to get there, and you weren't deterred by a locked gate! What awaited us high atop a mountain were these stone walls and stone embankments. Questions kept popping in my mind about this place (it's the school teacher in me). Once I hopped off my exercising, I did the research. This 583 year old castle is considered the Machu Picchu of Japan and is known as "The Floating Castle." It was built to ward off aggression between the Harima/Tanba and Tajima Regions as a stronghold of Izushi Castle. Its history fascinated me! Thank you for leading me to a world of discovery! Your content is amazing. Safe Travels, Margie P.S. Side note, every where one goes in Japan, there's steps everywhere; stone, pebbled, wooden, concrete, etc. I admire the fact that you can film, keep your balance with a heavy backpack on, many times while holding an umbrella and a camera in all kinds of weather! Cheers to you for physical ability and balance!

Glad you enjoyed this one and thanks for the additional research! The castle is very interesting, and there are also some ancient burial mounds in the area. It's actually one of my favorite places to visit with it's combination of rural beauty and many layers of history. It's funny you picked up on the steps everywhere, I'm constantly surprised by them as well. I saw a volunteer group doing trail maintenance a few weeks ago on Mt. Daisen and I wonder if that is the norm or if most of the maintenance is done by official rangers. On these stairs there was an attendant tasked with unlocking the gate so it's possible their maintenance is part of the general upkeep of the castle ruins. Anyhow thank you for the kind words and encouragement🤠

Thank you, there were some really spectacular views up there. I can only imagine what it would have been like when the castle was fully intact.

and the sound is reversed left and right. but I still appreciate your videos. they are usually not so noisy, with less traffic and they are just calming

Thank you, I now film in 60fps in all but the lowest light and I think I've sorted out the audio channel issues. Of course there is still a lot to improve and thanks for overlooking the growing pains : )
