If I remember correctly, the first episode (South Park version) was based on a real event (except the comedic parts) that happened just before it was made. Suction Cup man’s design is based on the person who was climbing that building and real policemen tried to get him off instead of a businessman…
Yupp, it was based on an event where some real guy was climbing Trump Tower with suction cups
I believe it was still during the presidential election before Trump managed to become president (or maybe it was shortly after he won, don't quite remember)
