I spent over an hour trying to get this [insert expletive] thing off and eventually had to give up. I appreciate the video but this was absolutely no help to me whatsoever. Happy for those that figured it out but I had to get wasted to calm myself down.
And after reading the comments it looks like only the dealer can replace them.

Worked, thank you! Used rubber tool for window tint to wedge out the corner to slide out.

You have saying pull on the white things while squeezing but I'm pretty sure you meant push because I pulled and broke them and I after I finished watching more of the video saw that you actually pushed yours in so maybe you should correct that 🤷🏻‍♀️

Those white plastic clips are pricks.. is there a trick to them? My needle noses arent working

Indeed, word to the wise anyone that has to replace these tail light bulbs, I just did these. Just cut the little fucking white clips off, using a pair of wire cutters or strong dykes being careful not to clip the tail light nipple that sticks through these just clip the edge of it on a couple sides then take a regular pair of pliers and simply clamp down on the plastic and pull it right off when you replace the tail light bulbs slip the tail light back on after removing it to replace the bulbs being careful to slip the plastic nut at the tip of the tail light back into its slot and just simply bolt it back on being gentle not to break the nipples in the tail light itself just finger tight them and firmly tighten down the nuts. Then just use some adhesive silicone around the other two points that had those prickish white clips on them it will be just fine that's my two cents worth after jamming my forefinger into The tip of a pair of needle nose pliers...grrrr

2017 Hyundai Elantra Tail Light bulb changing instruction was totally wrong. The inner white female clip should not be removed as he showed. The outer male black cip from the lamp housing later inserted back into the inner white clip. I almost break my clips because of his wrong instruction.

This video does not help me at all. The white plastic pieces will not budge and neither will the taillight using all of my strength. I can spend an hour and change a Prius headlight with no problems but this job I can't do.
