Dc got a couple styles though. He has like the heavy autotune singing like Funeral and the songs you mentioned. But he also has agressive rage type music like the first half of "My Own Worst Enemy". Then he also does rock influenced songs like "Ghost Rider" and "Jesus Cant Save You". He's incredibly diverse and has some stuff for everyone imo.
Yeah that’s what I’m sayin he mostly included the melodic rag3 kidd songs and not the Donny side of Dc

Its funny that all the DC songs you listened to outside of funeral had that exact sound. I'd recommend Ghost Rider, Hello DC, the whole first part of My Own Worst Enemy and his 2019 music as it shows that it can be pretty different and that he has quite some versatility.

I know u said u only listened to a handful of songs for each artist, but I definitely would say check out more DC cuz he has lots of no auto mosh pit type music which I think also helps encompass the sound he has as an artist
Yeah he got songs like From The Gutta, Hello DC, Mr. Not Nice, Telfar and ENEMIES that are hard and moshpit-like so those are some recommendations I can give.

I think what XXL should do is just divvy it up. 5 people who are more lyrically inclined and are bar heavy. 5 people who are more of a vibe type rapper. Just two cyphers. The people who gravitate towards the artists you can vibe to have their cypher, and the fans of a more lyrical hip hop have their cypher.
I heard about Boston Richey's paperwork before I heard one bar from his music. Just goes to show where hip-hop is in 2023.

I'm really happy you enjoyed DC The Don's music! I've been following him for a while because he was friends with another rapper I am really into, Sad Frosty, who unfortunately passed away quite recently. They've made a lot of songs together and it sucks to see that they weren't able to blow up like this together, but I'm still happy to see DC doing great for himself.

I listened to most of the artists on this list, except for Real Boston Richey (already knew he would be generic based off his look lol) and I like most of the people’s music or don’t have an issues with it. 2rare was the shocking one for me though, I thought he would be a street rapper, but he’s a hype dance rapper, which is cool. Overall, can’t wait for the freestyles or cyphers 🔥

I agree with the central cee take. I don't know if he's a good rapper or not because every song from him has the same beat that I hate. Little Simz is a dope UK rapper you might want to check out. She's dope.
the issue is rappers like little simz don't have that commercial sound like central cee even if she is leagues above him interms of discography and the best uk rappers like her are already years+albums deep into their career so xxl won't ever be for them. I love that even without america my favourite uk rappers able to tour the world because other countries realise how good the quality output is.
