This game wasn't close at any point. Kha-Beleth did fine but was just severely outclassed.
One thing I day dreamed about before the byzantines came out was to let them have 'batelista emplacements' just weaker springalds either available from the dark age representing their ancient knowledge and/or being able to place them on a wall piece to pay homage to the theodosian walls. But don't steal this!

In Conq Byzantines stand at 42% win rate. Conq3 is statistically insignifcant in terms of sample size and data is heavily biased by individual performance.
To be fair, I've rarely seen a Jeanne d'Arc game that well played. The Byzantine lost 40 villagers and yet still stand pretty strong. Imo, he also wasted way too much ressources into trebuchets to destroy the keep in the middle while he was able to contest other sacred site. What made the difference is the economy/villager number difference and the micro for Jeanne d'Arc.
Frankly I feel like this games entire player base is an insignificant sample size. (:

Even though the theme of this video was about canton being somewhat independent. Lets not foeget we are Chinese and part of China. Qe are not british or western we are proudly Chinese. Eapecially these days the west are trying to dismantle and defeat China again. I'm Cantonese but first and foremost I'm proudly Chinese.
