Just bought this. Still not recieved but i am excited for it. I think mavlos might make it for ryobi. I figure I like ryobi tools and needed a travel rod. Carp are mules, nice vid bro.
Yea it's definitely worth it. There is another rod alot of people recommend which is also a twin tip rod but that one is about $60 (still good for 60). I'll be able to keep this combo on my car and fish whenever I want.
Yea it totally handled it fine, just had to be patient. Was a bit of a let down that it was a carp though, was hoping it was a native type of perch we have that I've never caught.
Yea I like it more than an AG venom. Maybe in skinny water something like the AG venom is better but I think what most people all over the world but their first setup for something like this is more suitable. Thanks for watching Frank.
So much stuff on there, as long as you do some research and weed out the bad stuff. Not sure if you're a member of the BFS finesse fishing Facebook group (not the Aussie one). This group used to be called budget finesse fishing and was centred around AliExpress BFS. Good info there.
Well done outro comparing the action and handle section to other well known BFS rods. I like rods that have more backbone, I can see it when you're fighting the fish. Some BFS rod actions are are too slow perhaps made specifically for targeting trout.
Thanks, yes exactly this one is slightly faster and has a bit more backbone, although the resolute is similar. The AG Venom is indeed a slower action more for trout.
I was thinking the opposite and getting the spinning for my kid and also seeing what the matching spinning reel is like. Should be passable form him. Then again I have so many combos he can use.
I got a Sougayilang telescopic rod off Amazon a few years ago for $20. It's very well built. Everyone wants to buy it from me. I believe Kastking has one similar.
Some sougayliyang stuff looks passable but in general I would say it's probably one of the lowest quality Chinese brands. Purelure has a couple of telescopic rods that people quite like
I went on Amazon I got the kastking black hawk 2 telescopic fishing rod, 50$ it's really good it's made good doesn't look cheap if you want to buy this it's up to you and I found this on UA-cam when someone else tested this rod and I was very impressed
Great video bud! I have both the venom and the mavllos how does this compare in sensitivity? I love the grip/handle on the Orca, have you tried that one yet?
Thanks, no haven't tried the Orcs because the rainbow coloured wraps on the guides doesn't look nice to me. I have another cheaper rod with a similar short monocoque butt though. The sensitivity on this is better that the venom. When I hop the lure I can feel it on the bottom better with this rod.
Rip off ? With the some exception , Shimano and Diawa are the ones who don't use a lot of rebranded things from China. I never heard of the company you're talking about , but Ryobi just put their name on a pole from a Chinese factory. Just like a lot of fishing companies do. Ali Express or anyone else could care less.
Good descriptive video.Looks great fun on light gear.
More coming soon!
Nice looking rod and nice fish on that rod!! Right up my alley with the 4 piece. Nice summary to wrap it up.
3 people have already messaged me and bought them so sounds like alot of people are keen on them. I feel a bit sorry for Mavllos
Good travel/always in your vehicle rods have been forever very hard to find
It's good more are coming out
Seems there are lots of good options. Especially because it is cheaper for them to ship overseas.
Can't beat that price point and looks and sounds like it worked out really well. Great job with the review!!!
Yea they are $29 now. Maybe your young mate the Cobra should get one :)
@@yep.fishing His Birthday next month, might be a good idea for a gift. Cheers!
Unfortunately the spinning version has sold out. Was going to get it for my wife so we could have matching rods to take to FNQ in a few weeks
Great vid, honest and straight to the point.
Thanks 👍
Great action video. Even better summary and review of gear. Might get one myself.
Tight lines
Get one quick! $29 today

Thanks, no I think Ryobi (not related to the tool company) just bought the OEM parts or something. I spoke to Mavllos and the guy on AliExpress is mad
Great vid, i might buy it and see how it goes. Great fish too mate

Great way to get some confidence in the strength of your kit. I was bricking it for you when you hooked that first Carp.
Yea it totally handled it fine, just had to be patient. Was a bit of a let down that it was a carp though, was hoping it was a native type of perch we have that I've never caught.
Congrats on 1k Sir! Awesome job and keep it up.
Thanks buddy, feeling more motivated than ever now.
Nice video! What a great fight those carp put on!
Yea no crazy head shakes or anything but they are just stubborn and fairly heavy.
Hey bro. That is probably my favourite outfit. I have the mavllos version and I've caught heaps of quality bass on that rod and reel
Yea I like it more than an AG venom. Maybe in skinny water something like the AG venom is better but I think what most people all over the world but their first setup for something like this is more suitable. Thanks for watching Frank.
I know what I'm putting in my cart/car for the spring.
Yea man, even the spinning version and the matching reel in the red and black.
Good vid man! The Ali express BFS stuff is something I really need to have a good look at

Nice one! Kudos to your netsman also. Paul
Haha yea he is begging me to use a BFS setup too.

I’ve just been looking at the spinning version I gave my buddy . It’s a great bit of kit. I may try and order the casting version this time 😂

@@yep.fishing would be a great rod. If my old man had gifted me one as a kid I would have been chuffed
Yea I'm tempted to get it for him

I used to have a ryobi T2 baitcaster. and a ryobi T1 which was a microreel for the time. They were both POS. LOL. Thank God for Shimano. 🤣🤣🤣
Some of the new ryobie reels are being sold by other brands too, that one with the blue spool and the cork handles comes to mind
Tên của cần câu sougayilang mà bạn đã mua là gì ?
Not too sure which one he got. I don't recommend Sougayliyang, usually cheap but often cheap quality also.@@Fishing_ultimate

This rod is less that half that price and the quality would be on par for sure.
Jacob did you say zoom out zoom out??? Is that a GoPro feature? Awesome fight and first!!!
Yes, but that was filmed on my phone :) it wasn't a command, I just pressed the .5x zoon button.
@@yep.fishing your phone can zoom out on voice command???
Looks like a weapon for the price, and a neat one for the suitcase the carp would have felt decent on it!! Great episode.
No, maybe you posted this follow up question before I edited my initial reply. I just hit the .5x button. I guess I said it out of excitement :) 🤣
Thanks Jack. $30 it's hard to beat, especially having 2 tips. I think I might recommend this one to friends from now on that want to try BFS.

What test line u used
This had equivalent to 12lb braid
Good stuff mate, those carp are fat! They are definitely good fighters!
Can't complain, fight alright and by catching them I'm doing my .000001% to help
How much is the rod and what website
AliExpress and around 20USD
I can ask you anything?? 😂
Yea sure, I might not give you the answer you want or expect though!

This company has nothing to do with Ryobi power tools so they hijacked that. Regardless this rod is still the best value 6' UL rod in the world.
