    Thinking about one of these for my next enduro race bike, a little concerned about fuel mileage on that little tank. We race in mostly slow, tight woods and have 2 gas stops during 70-80 mile races. Will I make it?

    Hey Derek I have a question so I have a Suzuki rm 103 supermini and it's time for me to move up my dad has an 03 kx 125 and I like it but it's not any faster then my supermini lol and I've never really rode a real 4 stroke race bike in the woods I was wondering what you think because I know you have owned/rode both on trail for a while I'm also a huge fan and it would awesome if you responded

    • @jeremycarnahan8752
      @jeremycarnahan8752 9 років тому

      in all honesty, I'd get the 125, and then eventually get a 250 four stroke!

    • @harrybailey3591
      @harrybailey3591 9 років тому

      +NesquikDude 17 I had the same situation and I tried out 125 two strokes and 250 4 strokes I eventually made a choice and went for the 250 I never looked back best choice I have ever made

      If I were you I would just jump to the 250 because If you get a 125 your going to get used to the power very quick maybe get bored if you think your ready you should get a 250. I went from a ttr 125 lol to a 250f and I thought maybe the 250 was going to be to much for me but it wasn't I got used to it and was doing hillclimbs in a week or so. but it all depends on you hope this helped a little bit but anyways good luck!

    Cool, you must just have a bunch of cameras setup I'm guessing. If you just had 1 camera would be a pain to move it around all the time to get the different angles.

    I would have a fail for you, but i forgot to press record on my camera ;_; Well, basically. I was roll starting my bike. I put lots of starting gas in the air intake, then i rolled it down a hill. It started, it got a rush/kick or something because all of the sudden i'm in 30 km/h in a hill. An icey hill. So i pressed my front brake, trying to slow down in 30 km/h but my back wheel somehow slipped. I'm at least glad it started there. Would be much better if i remembered to press record. Anyways, Love your videos as always!

    Hey, great video. I also have a question. When I am riding with my gopro the footage afterward is crystal clear. Then when I edit it all and export it out of premiere pro it is still clear. When I upload it you youtube it becomes very pixelated. Mainly when I a moving fast through the woods. Any tips?

    • @DerekHallman
      @DerekHallman  9 років тому

      +Titus Videos UA-cam has a poor compression algorithm and it will pixelate the footage a little bit no matter what (especially through the woods at high speeds). But make sure you export the footage at a high bitrate (like 35mbps) and spend some time color grading the footage. Those two things will make your footage look less pixelated after you upload it to UA-cam.

      +Derek Hallman Thank you I already color grade. I will try using a higher bit rate. Thanks!

    • @DerekHallman
      @DerekHallman  9 років тому

      Do you use the light monitors and color scopes to see if the videos are color corrected properly? Higher bit rates may help, but lots of time being put into color correcting and grading is the best way to improve quality.

    • @Kingsxjt22
      @Kingsxjt22 9 років тому

      +Derek Hallman No, typically I use the rgb curves, and sometimes three way color corrector. I try to make sure that every shot looks the same way as far as color correction goes. Also I do not use protune on my gopro I try to keep it as flat a profile as possible that way I have more control in post.

    • @DerekHallman
      @DerekHallman  9 років тому

      +Titus Videos The monitors and scopes I am referring to are visual aids while you are using the RGB curves. And you don't use Protune? That's the first mistake. Turn on Protune to raise the capture bit rate of the gopro. When ProTune is turned on, you also have the flexibility to adjust individual settings on the camera. You then can choose to shoot in "Flat" mode which doesn't add any in-camera contrast or saturation, therefore giving you a higher dynamic range and enabling you to color grade more precisely for your projects.

    What setup do you use on your GoPro? (Fps, etc...)
