Love the glee and excitement with your haul. I enjoyed the relaxed style of this video, not that I don’t enjoy the more organised style you usually have, but it was just cosy and what I needed today.
The casual chat was really nice! I like the joy and excitement that came across the screen when you went through your yarn haul ☺ You have some fun, colorful knitting ahead of you! If you are thinking of colorful socks, I would highly recommend any pattern by Summer Lee as she has really good tutorials and tips and making really effective colored socks even with only 2 colors (and scraps, and marling, etc). She is on Ravelry and just released a book. (She mostly knits cuff down). You probably know of her already but just in case...
I confirm that Belle from drops is great for the peacock, palm and anker tees.
You are absolutely a breath of fresh air! I can’t wait to see that yellow worked up with the cascade. Your outfit is beautiful, as are you.
You should really check out The Knitters Handy Book of Patterns by Ann Rudd. It’s a very basic book I believe meant for beginners but the reviews from seasoned knitters was encouraging also. In it she helps you work out gauge for any pattern using different yarn weights (and so much more). I truly hope you make the layering cami. Have a wonderful weekend.

I very much enjoyed this casual chat type of video. I liked seeing your yarn haul and also the pattern ideas. I have been drooling over the Belle yarn as well. I have so much yarn at home and I've been doing a good job of picking out projects and getting some of that yarn out of tubs and into garments and into my dresser drawers. Ha ha, maybe I can use that as an excuse to reward myself with a yarn shopping spree to pick up some Belle. Oh man, I will never get my stash down to a low roar that way.

I ordered the Drops Belle for the Kylie Pullover pattern by Irene Lin. In my opinion it's a fair swap for the Sandnes Line if you want to save a penny. Looks great after a few washes too. Happy knitting ❤

I love the slow casual chit chat. I bought some of the Drops Belle from UK with a summer top in mind. It was the only yarn I could find that was a true white. I am borrowing some of that yarn for some polka dots on a doll dress and I would never have the patience to knit a sweater with it now that I’ve got to try it. It’s splitty but I am also in 2.5 mm needles so maybe it would be better on the recommended size. The yarn haul looks lovely. You’re going to have fun making it up no matter what you choose to make.

I remember feeling like a true bonafide knitter when I made my first purchase from Wool Warehouse & Deramores years ago, "Peoples my wool is being shipped from the UK! Loved your mother's day outfit.
Great to hear that the delivery costs for wool warehouse were so reasonable! Sometimes I find myself ordering more yarn than I probably should just to justify the international shipping costs, especially when the aussie dollar is not doing very well lately. I almost ordered some yarn the other day from a US indie dyer but after I did the currency conversion with the shipping added it came to about $60 per skein - just can't justify the cost. Love your pop of colour choices for Michael's socks.
I agree about the Fyberspates Cumulus, I've used this one and also find it so nice and soft. I haven't ordered from wool warehouse for so long but that postage price is really good!

Thank you for talking about Cascade 220. I recently discovered the Cascade yarns and I love the colors and selection of bases and I really love the price. Can’t wait to see your highlighter yellow sweater. I am partial to the color because my husband and I just bought a new jeep wrangler in -you guessed it: highlighter yellow.
for the orange & pink socks I would like to recommend the Bulevardi 5 pattern - free on Ravelry. It's got a simple colorwork motif that I think was good practice for doing colorwork on socks. Could be a fun one for inverting the colors for couple socks 🙂

Nice video! Looking forward to seeing how your projects come out. I'm a big (new) fan of WW. I thought their selection was wonderful and prices were very reasonable. I'm in California, USA and I got my order in about a week and shipping was surprisingly inexpensive. I'll definitely order from them again. My order came in a beautiful drawstring bag. I'm surprised yours didn't seem to.
I do so enjoy your videos. Mother’s Day in the states was last Sunday and I was able to spend with my children and grandchildren (who are really young adults). Ooh you have bought some nice yarns! I have my eye on Drops Belle too to knit a t shirt. Not sure of the pattern yet. But Drops Belle is a very popular summer yarn here in the Netherlands. And very affordable which is a good thing also 😊. Have fun with your new yarns. Regards, Christel

Really interesting to see your Wool Warehouse shopping. Here in Europe, well in my country, I can’t order from them because we pay so much duty, sales tax and handling charges it’s ridiculous. And the stores here which sell Drops have a very limited supply so I have to order it from Italy. Love your earrings, by the way!

I love yarn hauls, especially from Wool Warehouse, one of my favorite places to buy yarn! And those organza bags! They're perfect for when you're giving someone a handknit as a gift.
As for handknit socks, my husband loves wearing them, and I've knit him about 28 pairs in the last 10 years or so. The weirder the better, and he's developed quite a reputation at the office, co-workers always want to see the Sock-of-the-Day. If you want funky color work socks, check out Stephen West, he's got some great patterns as far as funk goes.

Love Woolwarehouse, my go to yarn shop! Here in the UK, it’s free shipping when you spend £30, so always tempting. Love your haul and look forward to seeing what you knit with it. Have you discovered Summer Lee’s UA-cam channel. All about colourful socks, and she’s so great with colour combinations and tutorials. She has just recently published her first book. Hi Nadine, just thought I would mention if you didn't notice that Wool Warehouse has an option on their website that shows the dye lot so I thought wouldn't it be fantastic if you could get the same dye lot you need of that Malabrigo yarn!
Love the olive oil yarn colour with the Cumulus. But sadly, my complexion wont allow me to wear that colour. It wouldnt have occurred to me to combine those two yarns together. Thank you so much about the Ravelry yarn search link to patterns.

If you were to do a Q&A my question would be how did Michael know how to pronounce Yorkshire - is he a cricket fan? (I am in the UK). I am knitting a cardigan in Belle, using 3.5 needles. It has a very soft feel to it. Just be careful, it splits easily.

Hi Nadine, I live in Brisbane too and remember being thrilled to discover Wool Warehouse, so many choices we don’t get here. I have also recently discovered Colourmart, also a UK based yarns place. Although their website seems a little old fashioned looking, it’s great once you get the hang of it. I’ve bought pure burette silk, DK (Lana Gatto) and fingering super fine merino and fine merino with mohair. It’s lovely yarn, very reasonably priced and free, fast shipping. Happy knitting.
Yay! I'm so glad you checked out Wool Warehouse. The Cascade Yarn would look great with black jeans. The Yorkshire spelling help was so cute! I also prefer to only buy yarn for specific projects. Also, you wear the coolest earrings. I would love a Q&A video!

I hope you had a lovely day. I always use Wool Warehouse for my online yarn shopping as my local yarn shop in England doesn't carry much stock of interest. As I watched your video, I pulled up the WW website and followed your yarn choices. Very interesting and enjoyable. I'm definitely going to get some Drops Belle and Drops Air but must resist until I've completed my next 4 projects! I hope you remembered to put your engagement ring on before leaving!❤

Don't use 3.25mm for the socks - you need 2.25 or 2.5mm for socks, depending on how tight you knit. Even though it's sock yarn, the label is indicating the normal needles for 4ply but not for socks which need a tighter gauge. But you know this. I'm sure
The knitting info is great but get rid of slurping your coffee…stick to knitting
