    As construction projects have become more challenging and complex over the years, construction equipment has evolved in a similar fashion. While this is a relatively modern trend, there is a story of an Italian company that managed to manufacture two machines of colossal capacity, which are still impressive to this day. Stay with us and learn about the story of the Super Dozer and the ACCO-Grader.

    I love this association of technology and social, political history… Behind each technology, there is a human adventure.

      Exactly! The human stories behind the technology are what really make it fascinating. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!

    Que pena que hayan desmantelado el ACCO Grader, era toda una joya de ingeniería.

      Es realmente una lástima. El ACCO Grader era un ícono de la ingeniería.

    Pretty sad those machine never saw any use and ended up being scrapped/abandoned. I would really love to see that motorgrader in action somewhere.

    The grader would have been perfect to grade the Australian outback unsealed roads in a single pass :)

      That would have been a sight to see!

      They missed that chance. Imagine two forward mounted rear facing (aimed at the front of the blade) cameras and cruising Australia back country. Camping trailer in tow

    Is that a Bucket(big) over the exhaust of the grader?

    • @bigredc222
      @bigredc222 10 днів тому

      It's to keep rain water from getting in.

      @@bigredc222 That's what I thought, I also thought that they would have engineered something a lot more sophisticated.

      @@user-xc6wu3ve8u In the old days they used to put that flapper things. I think they only do that when the equipment is going to be sitting for a while, I guess when it's used regularly any water that gets in gets burned out when they start it.

    Some say : "Too big to fail", uh ! That's not always true ! As an ol' user and real fan of big earthmoving machines, I think that the original ACCO project was already dead in the egg unfortunately, too big and too heavy for easy and regular moves !

    such bulldozers have no potential, they are too huge...

      Equipment this size probably requires specific projects to make it cost effective. I would say that the Saudi Arabian 'The Line' new city project would be the perfect application for such equipment.
