Not dogging the GR squad at all, love your work, but I'm really surprised it took you so long to find Liberation. We've been flying Liberation since early 1.0 version but haven't opened it in several months. It's amazing how much progress Khopa has made! The GUI is awesome and now he's added the AI assist options. Well done sir!
Love Liberation! Been using it for quite some time. It's sure evolved a lot! Using the C-130 mod to do a base capture is a fun tactic with a unique challenge. Interesting how you said you had no interest in single player, whereas I have no interest in multi player. :P
Thanks for the guide. Quick and easy :) To add to this, I let the AI take care of selecting the aircraft's and I went to see why I didn't have any Harriers or A-10s and come to find out that the AI spent most of the budget on 20 F-15E and 10 -F15C , 4 Tomcats and 4 F-18s lol. Silly AI.
We use this as a COOP Campaign in our clan every week with about 10 pilots. Its great fun! Also: this weekend a new Version of Liberation will come out with some really big improvements! And many things you might want to show are not valid anymore then!

I love the custom kneeboard generation, really makes it feel like a real mission in a campaign even though everything around you is happening dynamically

Also Khoppa updated it to version 3.0 few days ago, have a look because there have been quite a lot of changes, including better UI and the possibility to drag and move the waypoints!

Like how to set Liberation up as multiplayer locally or in standalone (which is better and why?) and how to join, allow friends to join, etc.? Hey cap I don’t know how to send viewer requests so just gonna put it here. So the request is. Put as many aircraft on the deck of an aircraft carrier as you can, make sure they’re facing the direction of travel of the carrier. Then put all of them in max AB but make sure they don’t move (if that’s possible) Would that increase the speed of the carrier?
@@grimreapers Don’t forget that adding weight to an aircraft should increase its grip and as such the maximum thrust that doesn’t chunk you off the side of the deck, without affecting the carrier in a meaningful way.

So for system specs, how does a crowded liberation map compare to the average multiplayer server? If my computer can barely run Liberation's invasion of Syria can I handle going online in one of those cold war servers?
Can I ask how it deals with the destruction of map objects? If strike a bridge or factory in turn 1, will that map object still be destroyed in turn 2, 3, etc? I’m on the stable release that doesn’t deal with the destruction of ground objects like the Beta at the moment
I wonder if you could set it up a 'start point' mission, so that certain events (eg. an opfor raid of something) are scripted, then have the campaign go dynamic from there?
Hey Cap! Can you do a video on making custom factions? I really want to do a campaign where Red only has SU-25’s and Blue only has A-10’s. I can’t figure out how to get the custom factions files to work once I edit and save them ☹️

When I load in a mission it freezes on the loading screen just after half way. I have tried this in the mission editor and I get the same result. I have also tried in multiplayer on a server and it loads into the mission and past the brief but everything is frozen when I spawn on the carrier. No idea how to fix it
It's an external campaign generator. It's not running anything while you play the mission. It's counting the dead units when the mission is exited, so it shouldn't be consuming any resources at all
The front end itself is not heavy at all. Once the mission is finalised and created, it just sits there waiting. The MISSIONS, on the other hand, can be very heavy. The missions can have a lot of things all going on, particularly on the ground, and that can get very intensive. Co-op is easy enough. You have to run a server, and there are a couple of things that are done a little differently as a result of that, but it works.
no is not FALCON BMS campaign :( it's shameful that with the money they earn, we're making planes and ZERO milsim content in the simulator. it is an EMPTY shell. is better FALCON and if it had DCS graphics they would all be there, not on dcs it has no milsim content.

The funny thing is the Mission Planer works exactly like in Falcon BMS. I think they where inspired by BMS cause its perfect for Mission Planning

This is pretty cool. But, I was hoping for a more Falcon 4.0 style dynamic campaign.
DCS AI gets in the way of that. The Liberation devs are constantly hampered by what the AI will or won't do. Especially regarding the ground war.

The AI dead or strike never do their job in my campaigns

There is a "culling " option, so that not everything on the map will be spawned, but only in a certain radius. This helps greatly regarding the FPS.
