Hello there!
I once thought I would have to stress that identic isn't a typo.
But since it's actually a word we can skip all that.
And I can talk about why this current chapter looks like it does.
If I had a stamp for it, I would use dream visualization.
It's how I picture The Dancing Jedi, The Scarlet Moons, In my head when I think about my fictional work I am currently working on too.
It's how I see the harmony of two individuals striving for the same.
A bond so full of trust and understanding that even the dreams align.
Where two individuals are dancing to that harmony.
In unison they intertwine and move apart.
Being their own but also a together.
Where all is equal.
They have their own flow, but always come back to the same unity.
Repelling blaster fire with their sabers while dancing.
Or fighting off Inquisitors with another form of dance.
How that may look you can decide. How that might feel, I'll probably let you know some time.^^
There's really a lot of stuff surrounding the deeper personal meaning to this.
It is kind of like light and shadow, yin and yang (that typo in the video I do address here now, just to make sure you see I'm aware of it and that I don't really care :D ) and the two wolves that reside in us that Jung described. But I'd rather stretch it all out over several videos since it is actually too important for me to shed a light on simply in passing.
Or maybe I'm just figuring out how to properly set up a good tension arc.
I don't know...
What I do know is:
Sarah told me she would love to see this one as a flow video.
She wasn't alone with that view.
I always wanted to do it the second I first heard it.
Absolute killer of a tune. Big ups to Metrik.
I only had a general direction in which I was going.
Knew the location as a whole.
But chose to let my heart decide in the moment.
It was already getting dark. Street lights already turned on.
It was a quick decision.
And after I had recovered from the blow of not having pressed record on the first take,
I flowed this take.
Which is why I decided against cutting out the drops this time.
For why shouldn't they be allowed to exist.
See this one as the two wolves in me getting along just fine.
One of them doesn't care at all about the drops. The other one does very much. And by addressing it here like this, the latter, perfectionist one is happy enough to release it. And proud of having developed an actual reason for them being there.
I can imagine a couple of scenarios where dropping the saber could be a part of the dance.
So I guess I'm going to do some story teller work now. Off screen.
