- Our little nephew the Newf puppy meets his new family for the first time. He also meets his cousin Katie, half brother Louie, Aunty Charity and Uncle Gary.

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of Grace. I just went to the Wilbon site and saw her picture. These Newfs work their way into our hearts and souls very quickly. I agree after having Newfs no other breed will do. Our best wishes to you.

There's no way I could take one of those babies...I'd take both. I adopted twin newfies with health problems and bindis still here, daisy passed away from a heart defect. Best pups ever...

I’m just crying watching this whole video. I’m sorry for the loss of your pup. I’m saving up for a Newfie and toys all that while also learning more about how to accommodate the breed in my area or another are. I look at houses thinking what will be best for my future Newfie. Can’t wait for that day!!! I’m still crying though from this video you just sliced my heart open and made more room such a beautiful memory documented here 😢❤️😘
I'm so amazed at how calm they are. I'm a very low energy person, but I'm in love with high energy dogs like collies, huskies, and shepherds. Sad for me, I wouldn't dare own a high energy dog if I couldn't meet their needs. :(
Would be really neat if these guys are good for the low energy peeps like myself. :D I love big teddy bears like them.
SGK Foxy This is very late, but yes! Newfies are known for being low energy couch potatoes :) Its makes them very good city/apartment dogs. It is recommended that you play with them and walk them to satisfy their needs, but Newfies tend to be sluggish, and like to relax/lay with you. :)
They will be your best low energy companions ever.
Mines favorite thing to do is just chillax on the porch looking at the world
I once took my newf for a walk. I lost sight of him and spent a good 20 mins looking around. I ran back home to see him sitting on our porch looking at me like im an idiot.
not "sad for you" that's actually a very good thing you recognize your limitations and put the dog before yourself. that's very noble and commendable.
They are good friends to each other. It would be much easier to have one (and less expensive), but the other one would get lonely.

Our breeders are Wilbon Newfoundlands in Cabot Arkansas.
The 2 adult Newfs in the second part of the video are ours. The puppy is owned by a friend who came all the way from California to Arkansas to pick him up. They stayed with us during their visit - that's why our dogs met. Our Louie is Remy's half brother. I would love to have another Newf, but we barely have time and money for the two we have. I hope you are able to get your own Newf someday! Make sure to find a reputable breeder approved by Newfoundland Club of America & other references.
Remy is my little Newfie Nephew. My two Newfs, Katie and Louie are related to him. He is from Wilbon Kennels in Cabot, Arkansas.

Wilbon's doesn't raise brown pups. Years ago I wanted a brown Newf, but when I met the Wilbon Newfies I fell in love with their wonderful temperaments. Now I don't care what color my Newfs are. I just want healthy dogs that are super sweet and that's what we have :-)

I'm actually going to be passing through Arkansas in a few months, Jacksonville, and I was thinking of getting a newfie but I couldn't find anyone that has them.
Newfs are super messy dogs. I always discourage people who want a super clean house from getting a Newfoundland dog. The drool, hair and dirt that they track in gets everywhere! However, the love that they give more than makes up for it.
If youre a real dog person that won't matter at all my pup totally distroyed. My home we named him khoas !!!

I got a kick out of how you called the newfie your nephew. When I took a stray cat in and gave him a home; the first thing I did was call my sister and tell her she had a new nephew.
No, actually this pup is very thin!! The hair may make him look like a chubby little ball of fluff, but good breeders purposely keep their Newf puppies thin. If you overfeed them they grow too fast which is bad for their joint development. If they become overweight at any point in thier lives it is also very bad for their joints. When you pick one of these pups up you can easily feel their ribs.
I'd take them both, I'd feel so guilty for leaving his brother.
Hardest part about getting a puppy to me is those first couple days when you know they are missing their mama. :( thats the only negative in getting a newf.

I love big dogs but they just dont live that long.
Alot of big dogs do live very long and healthy lives.
