@@lewisbirkett4428it's subjective but I disagree. It just seems to be the case when someone is incredibly technically gifted that someone has to minimize their talent by commenting on their "feel". Music is an art form and expression is as various as people are. I've seen many players that seem emotionally detached but I couldn't say the same for this guy. I can feel the passion pouring through every note that seems to have an unbelievable amount of clarity and attention.
It's easy to forget you're even playing an instrument when the sounds are just pure expression like that Your hard work and talent are ever fruitful and we the audience get to enjoy the results
As many times as I’ve heard this iconic jazz standard played, or sang, Joe Pass’s solo rendition of Autumn Leaves, from the “Virtuoso” sessions, has always been the penultimate version for me. This artist’s interpretation goes way beyond Pass’s; almost putting the song at risk of having its melody swallowed up amidst a display of the player’s obvious amazing technique. It has been said by many songwriters (including the late great Johnny Mercer, who wrote the lyrics to the American version of this standard), “Without a melody there is no song!” I would agree with that. This artist does capture the essence of the piece - yes, the melody is still there - and adds an atmospheric feel to it that is as beautiful as it is ethereal. Love the tasteful use of the whammy. Very elegant fusion of new school “guit-artistry” with an old school jazz number.
As always, the extraordinary music of Josh's guitar is stunningly original, beautiful, and technically mind blowing! The only thing I wish is that these little gems would last a lot longer; I can't ever get enough!
It is like watching a historic musical figure in the present. Imagine you walk down the streets and out of a window you hear chopin playing without anyone knowing that he will be played throughout the globe in a century.
Dear Joshua, I admire your incredible playing and find it striking that you consistently adopt a highly ergonomic and effective guitar and body posture for your playing - which is reminiscent for me of how some classical players would position themselves. Does this position in any way limit you when you play live standing up, or are you able to use that same general position? I ask because although I'm a very average hack guitarist, whenever I'm needing to utilise legato, I really need my guitar neck as close as possible, lest I lose much of my hammer-on, pull-off capacity.
Josh takes a tune that has been played into mind-numbing boredom that is basically the jazz version of Freebird, makes it interesting and breathes in New Life into a fairly good song that was dead
It's not just the level of virtuosity, it's that you have such an expressive voice on the instrument as well.
Phenomenal playing as always.
"hE dOeSnT hAvE aNY fEeL" -probably some dude that has never played guitar.
In all reality your playing is unparalleled brother incredible work.
Technically it's unrivalled but I would say there is little feel in this, and many of his songs
@@lewisbirkett4428 And i would say there's enough feel in this and many of his songs

What a BEAST!!!!
Your a guitar virtuoso, above the level of the best MMA fighter. An art in itself. Great vibes to the universe with your playing.
Haha the rare guitar / mma-fighter comparison compliment!
You are the best guitarist on planet earth hands down.
So so good!

Nice rendition.
Fuck me. That tone slaps big dog.
Killer playing and phrasing as always. Your bag of tricks seems endless
Yeah.
That third to last descent in the outro; the deepest one (I think it’s Bflat3- Asomething- Gsomething) is REALLY good! Dark, and good!
Josh, Ben Eunson, James Muller incredibly great Australian guitarists!
Na, I'm giving up! Just So So So GOOD!
Bill Evans-ish impeccable taste..
2 seconds... Let's start with that!😁
😊
always leaves me speechless. concerning just the guitar playing: for me the only one so far who is on par with Holdsworth.

Amazing playing and sound!!! What is the full rig rundown?
Amazing! Thanks for sharing your stunning performance!
I just found you and am speechless

GG
That matchless amp probably be more expensive than that guitar
At the end can be heared midna's theme from the legend of zelda twiligjt princess
Proud to be in your first 200 subscribers…you are amazing brother.
beautiful man! I was wondering what is that cushion on your leg and where can I buy one?
you can't play like that... it's impossible 😁
You can become a vampire and practice for 10,000 years
@@youtubeillegallydeletesacc5378 OK I will do like that 😁
He has attained nibbana. He didn't play anything, the music played him 😁
hi Joshua!
Fantastic!!! How are you getting that almost acoustic element in the tone? Thanks
Impressive your play with the left hand so weightlessly without any effort and also the chords so perfectly intoned I had to watch it umpteen times
Imagine Joshua and Plini making a song
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I would really like to hear from him, how he sees the Fret board. Or what his approach is.
What amp are you using here? I see a matchless sitting there but not sure which it is.
No bridge ?? That’s the best part
I’ve wondered this for years: do you hold the pic with three fingers?
Yes he does, similar to Shawn Lane if I'm not mistaken
That hurt me.
😂😂😂😂😂
wtf how do you do this
The whammy bar is what got me I mean come on that was the definition of perfection
Глеба Олейника забыл назвать. Хотя подписчиков у него мало. Технологию не соблюл именно для набора подписчиков.
Do you love Joe Pass?
How does a person acquire this level of proficiency on guitar?
practice lol
If you learn his story this is one of many answers
Practice. But to deny natural talent. This kid has something most of us don’t. Clearly.
Practice, passion, and genetics.
