    Hi mate. Nice video. Thanks for the shout out to my channel. The F1 chrony is VERY light sencitive and can be a pain to use if you shoot cal 177 pellets and BBs. The chrony nrs I got from my CP2 is correct. Maybe you have a detuned version? As a pistol I got ca 5 fpe but as a carbine I got ca 8 fpe. I never did anything to the gun other than change the gun from pistol to carbine. I sold the gun ca two months ago and the guy that bought it is very pleased with it. Btw I got ca 30 shots from one CO2 canister. How many shots do you get from yours? Cheers Rune

      Thank Rune , I got 36 shots using light pellets , before the poi changed and the pellets started to drop, so we can safely call it 32 shots on target , I will do the test again using a medium weight pellet, as I’ve discovered it does make a difference to feet per second , so more videos and tests to come also in pistol mode thanks buddy and you take care Shane

    Thanks Shane for the kind words. I like my little chrony and I would like to upgrade at some point but the it does the job just fine. And like you said, it is just a bit of math. I need to do an update video on my CP2. I have done what I said I wouldn't. Haha Changed a lot of things in it. I am getting 860 fps and 23 fpe out of a 14.3 Crosman at 1500 psi. To be quite honest with you the damn thing is a little scary to shoot! Haha I am a fan of Runes channel. I have learned a lot from him. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. See ya later!

    i purchased an xs38 recently and it was as rough as a badgers to cock and the rfd i had it delivered to said it was under powered delivering around 9 ft lbs , so i stripped it all down de-burred all the rough edges etc and put it back together and it now cocks smoothly and i have managed to take 5 wood pigeons from my bird feeder with open sights.i haven't had it chronographed since purchasing it but i do have one on order. i also have a tune up kit to go in it, but i just want to use the stock setup to break it all in, get the barrel leaded in etc. i have ordered an stoeger s20s as well as thoughs are a budget gun and have good reviews, the trigger can be modified quite easily. regarding the walther barrel big dan claims that smk themselves told him and i have no reason to question his integrity i'm sure yours will shoot like a good-un with a strip down polish barrel cleaned etc . if you want to sell it leave me a message ;o)

      wichywoo it’s yours for 100 quid buddy 2 months old have the receipt , since bought the 97 , l like big dans air guns vids , watched all of them , however I think people who sell guns are slightly biased, but I might be wrong , I have been many times Ha Ha , dare not strip the gun down in case I cut my self , I bleed like hell just with a paper cut , thanks for the reply , not sure were in the country you are but I’m in Nuneaton Warks cheers take care shane

      HI WICHYOO could you put a vid on by any chance showing your strip down and work on the xs38?

    • @wichywoo
      @wichywoo Рік тому

      @@MrPatch25 i didn't do a video , mine is the mk1 xs38 . i had a tophat and spring guide custom made and fitted a titan xs spring but i cannot remember what number. i took a crow out with it at 45 meters with a scope on it. not the nicest trigger in the world buts its o.k as long as you don't go over the 11.5 ftlbs as more spring pressure equals a heavier trigger pull . i actually discovered that my barrel was slightly bent to one side so it would only be accurate to its zero on windage, ive straightened it the best i can which pushed up the ftblbs pressure so i had to cut a coil off the spring to bring her back legal . not bad guns for a beginner if you get a good one and i believe the mk2 is significantly better than the mk1 .

    Nice informative vid old lad. And well explained, and good that you can check they are running claimed power, Glad your chasing it up, as reviews say there supposed to be accurate and good gun and seems you got a pup. Hopefully they fix the issue. Also I’d have gone with that option and saved some money can also use your brain a little figuring out the power. Always a good thing. As always good vid 👍🏼

    I haven't ever had a gun that will shoot spitfire pellets with any accuracy, i find that jsb and h&n field target trophy give pretty good results... I regret selling my xs38 as was brilliant after a tune up, once the inside was polished up and gun was run, in power came right up so I had to cut the spring down a few times and refinish the ends to get it back legal, I think it ended up at about 10.5 ft lbs and sweet as a nut to shoot

    Good and informative upload Shane. Whilst waiting for delivery of my Gamo Phox,
    I have purchased a chronograph,it's a slightly updated version of yours,it's 6000.
    Talking of my Phox,I thought you had swapped yours for the wooden stocked
    Coyote?? Looking forward, as always, to your next upload. Hope your feeling better
    mate ? I'm feeling quite happy as I have now finished my chemotherapy, but I have
    to be extremely careful over the next 12weeks as I have no immune system. Stay
    safe and well mate. Phil.

    Not sure if you scales or maths are correct. You say the pellets weigh 1.06 grams (you actually said 1.6 grams at one point) which equates to 16.36 grains which is considerably more than stated on the tin at 14.5 grains. Even assuming that the pellets are as you say 16.36 grains (1.06 grams) then the five shots that you made were an average of 482.7 fps and average energy of 11.47 joules which equates to 8.46 ft-lb energy (the joules are clearly stated on your chono for each shot so don't know why you are even doing the maths?). That said if the pellets actually weighed 14.5 grains as advertised then the average energy over the 5 shots would have been 7.48 ft-lb. Hope this helps

      sorry buddy ,, the reason i turn into a dumb blonde is because you can only input grams into the chrono not grains, i should have bought the more expensive chrono wouldnt get mixed up, old age and loads of tablets ,, they let me drive a car as well ,, L O L
