Hey there wickd, since this is a new series I thought you might like some feedback:
1) Make it more clear which champion is your focus. For some reason I wasn't sure if we're talking about Gwen or Sett's perspective (probably just me derping).
2) Could you explain both sides of the lane? It might be not much on the Sett part besides try to hit E and get longer trades, but I would like to hear the goals and means to reach them of both Sett and Gwen, since it helps understanding the lane better.
In general though, I like the video, thank you for the great and free content as always!

@@wickdlol You're mostly aiming at toplaner nerds with your channel. It's always gonna be specific :D (but yeah, I get it, match ups are even more detailed)
If you produce a mix of basic and in-depth videos, you can vary subjects to avoid to bore yourself and the viewers. But it's gonna take you more time if you want to keep the quality as high as it is now.
I think unflinching is recommended in many other situations not in this specific matchup, cuz sett lane doesn’t contain that long cc chain in my opinion overgrowth is good, what do you think?

Question! How would you know the Voli was starting Krugs without seeing it on the replay? Is that a thing where Voli ALWAYS starts Krugs?
You see Sett starting in Lane lvl 1 which means he probably didn't help. There's a high possibility that Volibear starts bot lane.
You can also watch what time the enemy bot lane arrives in lane to see if they helped.
@@wickdlol But how would you know if he started krugs or chickens or red? And what if he just goes buff to buff? Should you learn a few different possible gank timings and plan for each? I am trying to figure out some good starts like that, without giving up too much in lane over being scared of ganks. Thanks for the content, I am learning a ton from you!
@@LunchMeatTrump Voli started on the Red Buff, he knew it since the botlane was late in lane. He was indeed on the krugs when Wickd showed him, but he had already killed the red buff
@@azorben2152 Isn't that like super easy to fake though? What if both top and bot just go to lane a little late, happens all the time in my games? I also keep running into the situation where the enemy jungler runs around camping the living hell out of lanes, either getting kills or applying pressure and putting the team behind, all while my jungler attempts to farm for the first 10-15 minutes. I end up playing safe and not dying, but getting put behind, same with team, then it is hard to come back.
@@LunchMeatTrump I think in that case, either you or your jg has to be paying attention to this and communicate efficiently , for example if enemy jg ganked bot twice then you know he hasen't gone to his blue so now you can communicate this to your jg and maybe set up a play bot since now enemy jg will have to take his blue top side or, maybe your jg can take the enemy blue and just hover top side for a counter gank since top or possibly mid.

Idk, I usually win against Sett in early game with Jax. It is mostly about charging your passive in the minions and use your E to block his autos while also auto attacking, once you have your conqueror charged, you are going to win the trade, he will not have it charged because you blocked his autos.

difficult matchup? idk man im no expert but in my experience gwen auto wins every single melee matchup, especially against ad champs and also outscales pretty much every single toplaner in the game.
Jax is another matchup that can beat Gwen once you get really good at it. I play a lot of Jax, and it's actually pretty interesting.
I thought Gwen was a counter to Jax in the beginning tho
@@wickdlol hmm, I suppose jax E completely negates gwens lvl 1 cheese and then with triforce ms u can dodge her true damage, I dont play jax so obv u know a lot more I just feel like she would just kite back with ult and Q during counterstrike and then just stat check him to death but if u say its a good matchup I take ur word for it. Would u say its the best melee counter to her tho? Feel like kled could actually consistently beat her in lane and then match her on side for a while or maybe irelia actually🤔

@@smolentsevalexander jax is one of the only champs that can match her lvl 1, and not only that but he also outscales her in everything except skirmishes. the sidelane is impossible to lose as jax once he hits his core unless you get outplayed. the lane is beatable as Gwen but it is very very hard if the Jax is good and just plays passive until his core because he will be completely uncontestable in the sidelane
