Goddamn Levi is a strong man.. Amazing ep once again, only couple more to go to the season finale!! (I have no idea whatsoever where this is even heading lmao)
(No spoilers) You may not know the patch Levi gave to the soldier WASN'T Ivan's. You see Levi taking the patch from the Body with the bite mark on the hand(Petra) early in the episode, there's no way he had Ivan's badge because they never picked up Ivan's body untill those guys went back for the body. Levi gave away his only memory of Petra for the sake of his soldier having closure with his friends death.😢
The titan didnt eat the body they recovered, it ate the guys other childhood friend that also went to recover the body. He went back for a dead childhood friend but ended up losing his alive one and couldnt even get any of the bodies back, which probably is even worse than it seems.
There is an episode called PAIN in the coming seasons, but Ithink they should have called THIS episode like that. You survived a rough episode, I'm proud of you
You probably didnt notice but Levi actually lied that it was Ivan's badge for his sake. It was actually Petra's badge that he gave away. It adds a lot more depth to Levi's character if you know that.
@@Denden-mx9gl Where did you get January from? Everything I'm seeing is 2023. Id be more than happy to know the actual date, as then I can plan it out a bit more, but I don't think there is one yet
Bruhhh i just realized that Ivan is Levi's first companion, and because he wasn't able to take isabel's badge because only the head left, and he just gave it to someone, bruhhh
The first time I watched this ep, I thought Levi had a crush on Petra, for wanting to take her badge to remember her, but ended up giving it to Dieter, saying it was Ivan's... Paying attention again to the scene in which Petra's father tells Levi about her letter, now my impression is that Petra had a crush on Levi too, and she was considering marrying him... 😥😥
I don't want to sound silly or lame but I just want to emphasize the difference between build-up episodes and fillers. You clearly didn't watch anime before so you wouldn't know probably, but fillers are stand-alone episodes not based on the manga and are there just to drag the show for more episodes, hence more money. It wouldn't make the slightest difference if you watch them or not, you could watch a whole show skipping all filler episodes and not miss a single detail on the story. If you watched long animes like Naruto or Case Closed, you would understand.
No worries, not sounding lame :D. I get the concept of fillers, they aren't anime exclusive, like the infamous bee episode of Breaking Bad out the top of my head. But yeah I know anime has them x1000. Not sure if One Piece has them, but with over 1000 episodes I'd be surprised if it didn't. You put it nicely here tho, they don't serve the story at all. Which so far in AoT I don't think was the case yet with any episode. Some might have been stretched thin for substance, but no fillers I think. Interesting you say the filler doesn't follow manga, so are the mangas filler free in that case?
@@JamesxReacts Yes, you could say that mangas are filler free if we're talking about the meaning of the word "filler" in the anime world (what I explained before). But if you're calling anything that's boring, not eventful, or doesn't really serve the main story a filler, then mangas have plenty of that too lol especially mangas that have been going on since the 90s like one piece, I didn't read it but I can imagine a lot of side stories and little adventures going on that only serve to buy the main story more time, the difference between those and fillers is that you have to watch/read all of it, otherwise you may not get a grip on what's going on, and they can be entertaining too!
AoT emotional trauma keeps _giving_ huh? (This may be a double comment because I’m not sure if UA-cam are the original one 😠) Edit: I found out where my original comment ended up. Somehow, it got left on a furniture makeover short 🤣

sad fact: the badge that Levi ended up giving the soldier at the end wasn't Ivan's, it was Petra's
@@MokiNS1 yea I realized afterwards that Levi cut it out in an earlier scene :(

people see him as cold, emotionless and only caring for himself, but the truth is he cared more than anyone else

By the end of this episode i honestly felt defeated 😞
“… it would be a Transformers movie.” Epic burn there Frank.
BTW season 2 took 4 year before it got release after season 1.

I was just getting ready to watch something else when I saw the notification for this.
Appreciate the commitment :D
first time I hear a comparison to Malenia. Nice :))))
I would rather take a hammer to the shin than to fight Levi/Mikasa in a souls game lmao
