Thank you for saying all the things i was saying during this duel lol i was bout ready to rip my hair out at both players especially gate guardian guy since i love the deck.
i personally like having all the pieces at two...it lets me hit the board with more than one fusion...having GG combined as well as Wind/water out at once is a superb defencive boardstate
Normal summon and tribute summon are two different I play a lot of monarchs and come across this heavy labyrinth tank can attack if you tribute summon.
Honestly idk if judges will let that ruling slide. Tribute summons are still a form of normal summon by card mechanics and the card doesn't state when summoned by its effect. But if true tank will need an errata to clear that up, just so there's no confusion going forward.
Dont get me wrong, if the opponent plays bad and gate wins, we take those. But this duel does not accurately reflect what the deck can do or how it plays around interruptions when the opponent shotgun'd every interruption they had game 1/2. Meaning as a gate player, theres little we can learn or apply from this match to apply to the overall improvement of the deck other than 'floodgates work'. Nor will this feature match help players replicate these results, especially since the spright player made way more mistakes than Kevin here.
Idk GG needs so much more to justify playing these bricks. I've only played it with Kash mix. When i play pure i literally have hands that were 4 bricks and one board breaker going first. So no. Also the fact that the minies can't use gy and hand really cripples them.
From my testing, souls resolving is usually the best way to turbo out gg combined or have enough resources to go for game when going 2nd. But if souls doesnt resolve, the deck usually has little it can do outside of summoning a single combined. Reducing the number of cards like double attack and jirai gumo are probably the best answers for reducing bricks in gg variant builds, but when you play souls you commit to the gg cards so there may be more gg cards in hand to make fusions from, compared to other builds. Its a give and take, theres no single best build yet imo.

He said on fb he ended up going 5-3 and honestly thats better than what I would expect of gate guardian at a 3500 player event
@@TCGNistro tru! Prolly just hella nerves

i casually caught this live at like 4am lol was crazy to watch
With this many misplays, i swear i was watching a locals game.
Clear example of when a meta deck carries a bad player to finals. Props to the gate guardian player.

Bro stop downplaying gate guardian. Bro still won even with misplays. Lol. The deck is literally topping at tourneys too…

@@TCGNistro I’m just glad it’s rouge worthy… I know it definitely ain’t tier 1 tho.
@@celticjordan1 honestly 2-3 more solid cards could take this deck up there, and with retrains, we're like mathmech before they got circular.
I'd like to see these tournament tops, they dont come up in my searches aside from low player locals.
We had robbie kohl win a regional with the deck on release, that's about it.
i want to see the side dexk gate guardian used
is there somewhere i can look at the deck list?
Kevin Uploaded his own list actually lemme find it

I cant find prisma so I’ve been using fusion conscription with deployment and the keeper
Not the worst take, searching them to banish for seven swords or a combined is still better than nothing.
The gate guardian facebook page sounds lit
that was fucked up

I do agree that kashtira is probably the most optimal build tho, and its my favorite to play too.
Kash engine is op in there
And this is why you stuck in home🤡
