You definitely need a mine clearance variant - and an electronic warfare platform. Mines and aerial drones are now the obstacles to deal with way before you even get close enough to fire your guns. Can the Israeli Spike system deal with aerial drones or is it limited to ballistic trajectories?
Drones. Oh my how they've changed war overnight. Every combative state will be researching and building like crazy from now on. Throw in a couple of years R&D, some AI and the coming prevalence of directed energy the battlefield will be... barely survivable.

In other words YET ANOTHER PROCUREMENT CUCK UP by the MOD. Boxer is an established vehicle developed, and used, by Australia.
GD's 105 light tank prototype filled up with fumes when fired , cooling issues their are also concerns with its noise and vibration. Clearly the ASCOD based design is passed its sell by date. Perhaps the MOD should share the reasons why it chosen over CV 90 which copes with 26 - 40 ton range ?

It's a bigger and weight more than the CV90. "If" it works as intended it is better. That's a big "if" though. There is a strong possibility that it might do well. Clearly the US army sees potential in the platform also the new light tank is based on the same platform and it's the leading contender to replace the Bradley.
When different systems were being looked at CV90 failed in two areas that's why it wasn't picked what those two things were I have no idea but whatever they were they were area's requested by the army not the mod.
When all its problems are ironed out the Ajax platforms will be a very good platform I believe, a lot has been said by people who know nothing of the programme, this is evident on many military websites with people who’s only experience is call of duty or some other keyboard activity.
Isolation mounts for seats and controls is mitigation not curing the problem of vibration, 117 db noise recorded on most vehicles , bit above the 85 db upper limit ? Seems the American ajax based 105 light tank now has different suspension hydropneumatic ???
