It is not so much corruption but the fact if you are an officer in the British Army at a certain level too stupid to lead troops you end up in procurement, this also applies to the Civil service in the MOD.

I heard it from a member of Parliament, so I know it's true. The fact is that the program is bogged down in corruption and incompetence, too much has been put up for too little in results. This is just prolonging the misery and needs to be cancelled not coddled.

You definitely need a mine clearance variant - and an electronic warfare platform. Mines and aerial drones are now the obstacles to deal with way before you even get close enough to fire your guns. Can the Israeli Spike system deal with aerial drones or is it limited to ballistic trajectories?

General Dynamics Land Systems (UK) have pointed out that it was the MOD that kept CHANGING the specifications throughout development and a major issue is the extra weight that kept been added that created the VIBRATION Problems. In other words YET ANOTHER PROCUREMENT CUCK UP by the MOD. Boxer is an established vehicle developed, and used, by Australia.

GD's 105 light tank prototype filled up with fumes when fired , cooling issues their are also concerns with its noise and vibration. Clearly the ASCOD based design is passed its sell by date. Perhaps the MOD should share the reasons why it chosen over CV 90 which copes with 26 - 40 ton range ?
