Season 4 Episode 18: In rural Texas, a millionaire's teenage daughter was kidnapped on her way to school. Local authorities and the FBI conducted a massive search for the girl while her father attempted to deliver the ransom cash to a drop the kidnappers kept changing. The search for the missing teen would end in a dangerous firefight.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.
👏 Thank God she was returned to her family 👏
The Agent at the end said "having her returned safely to her family was all the reward he needed". You can see the pride in the agent's eyes as he looks down proudly at Amy. That look a proud father gives his child when he sees something precious is in front of him.
The guy who introduces these - "Jim Kallstrom former head of the FBI's New York office" one, wasn't actually in that position (he headed a single department _within_ it but not the entire field office).
And two, he died. Oh so sadly that is 1 less Trump supporter to deal with.
Thankfully she was from a wealthy family, cuz the FBI not the Police, we're first to know.
Don't thank God, thank the FBI.
I wanna know the name of the narrator or the interpreter. I wanna make a rapport to him. He is so so good. I watch the fbi files every day coz i enjoy the alot. Am addicted to them now but he makes them awesome to watch. Ahmed Qatar

Loved it when the girl was rescued unharmed. Great work by the team.

Put a smile on my face knowing it was a happy ending. I was thinking it wasn't going to end like it did. Especially with the shootout. The FBI & law enforcement did great.

What a great outcome. The Authorities all worked well together So pleased they found Amy alive.
SPOILER ALERT.
I wish every missing child report was treated like this. Parents should have immediate access to the FBI if any child goes missing, no matter what the circumstances are. There are so many ways we could budget to make that happen.
Parents can contact the FBI initially before local pd. All they have to do is pick up a phone and call
@@jeremygalloway1348 They can call, they just usually are not handled like this, based on who the family is and where they're from. The information on who to call is also not public knowledge. Most people are unaware that is even an option.
@@chelseanicole1911 Chelsea...yes I know most cases aren't handled the way this one was. Regardless of financial status or VIP status...FBI will get involved if contacted. Most folks would just call local pd first though...but then again most people dont have the smarts to create a calculator either lol. They will start a kidnapping investigation of a child typically under age 12 but can be a minor of any age, if contacted, even if there is no interstate travel. The FBI getting involved aspect IS public knowledge...but I would guess most people dont think to contact them to initiate an investigation. Ignorance in not knowing. Regardless, it's amazing the girl was rescued relatively unharmed. And amazing the one girl protected her from the perps. That was my favorite aspect in this case. I live in the area this happened, but wasnt born for a few years
If they had contacted their local authorities FIRST would Amy still have been alive? The FBI have so much more "man power" then local authorities.
You aren't wrong, Chelsea. The fact that this was a rich family played a role in how things went down. No doubt. However, this was an obvious kidnapping from the get-go, with two eye witnesses. The FBI was called immediately. Usually it's local LE that calls in the FBI for assistance. Precious time is lost.
I'm glad that young 18 year old girl was there proceting the little 13 year old girl. it doesn't make it right that she was participating in the crime but thank God she protected that little girl still the same
Thank your god for this too...
"How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock!" Psalms 137:9
Yep who knows what those animals might have done to her otherwise. The right sentences were handed out too; life.
I dunno, it never would have happened if she wasn't so selfish wanting money.
What the heck is proceting
SHE DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE. SHE DID WHAT SHE FIGURED WOULD KEEP THEM THE MOST SAFE. SHE WAS RIGHT !!!
Thank goodness for the 18 year old woman being there to keep Amy safe.
This by far is the best of FBI files. In every way, be it the victim, victim's father, police and fbi agents, and even the abductors have shown extreme courage and resilience. Much thrilling than any Hollywood action movie.
Reality is stranger than fiction!
I cannot get enough of the FBI files show, it,s great.
FBI agents are REAL HEROES. Has anybody ever appreciated their work?
All law enforcement officers are true heroes, firefighters too. Risking your life to save others is heroic, no matter which way you cut it
@@jonslg240 Not ALL soldiers or police are heroes. Most are but some firefighters commit arson. Some cops murder prostitutes or thier wives. I've seen enough true crime shows to know that bad apples exist in every trade, country, religion, social class, skin color and background.
Great people can do bad things and bad people can do great things. We all have the potential to do both. Hopefully we do more good than bad in our lives.
i wonder what happened to the 18 year old woman after this?
Did she complete her probation, did she stay out of trouble?
She should
What a relief when Amy got rescued not all story of this magnitude end up like this with a happy ending

41:02 Everyone involved, including young Amy, acted bravely here, but it does kind of suck that the ONE guy brave enough to finally say "screw it", and literally run straight to the middle of an active 10 man gunfight to remove the girl from the crossfire gets credited only as _"one deputy sheriff"_ while everyone else sort of gets immortalized in TV specials, interviews, etc.
That "one deputy sheriff" is the hero of the day. He'd have been fully justified to take cover and continue to shoot bullets over the little girl's head until someone hit her, just like his colleagues... but he didn't. Oh well, he knows who he is.
More importantly GOD knows who he is!!!
So a faith tale character knows who he is..? Whoopty do Basel!
Maybe he is working undercover and that’s why he was not identified here.
I’m sure he was recognized by his department, this is fbi files- so it focuses on the fbi. Many departments were involved, Texas Rangers, local sheriff departments etc. and a very happy ending!

@@michaelanderson7715 May I ask why you felt it worth your while to write this on no less than 3 comments? What is your intention? I am genuinely curious.
@@michaelanderson7715 make that four, I’m not interested in going looking for them just happened by them. What I am interested in is by clearing up the verse from my perspective and further research. The song is about ‘Babylonian exile and the mournful refrains’ rather a song of anger and revenge. The view is not suggested as though the right response but rather a dive into the writer and the psalmists themselves. Many view the end/ whole psalm as rhetoric for the birth of misery not actual babies. I can not say which or if either is wholly true as I do not understand the language in which the verse was originally written in and as such cannot further respond but if you truely have strong enough feelings about this or other verses in the bible I encourage you to try and view them with the understanding context of the language, environment and time it was written.
@@justanotherfellowhuman4985 The context has been explained already, I acknowledge that. However, my general intention is to draw attention to the vileness of that god and specifically, if you are to thank it for a positive outcome as Sarah did, then you can't ignore when the god 'lets' a child be murdered, either !
A round of applause for the mother who "ratted" on her own son. So different from so many who would probably have done nothing, or lied if asked, in order to protect their boys.
