me, who is both south east asian (part filipino) and unemployed (I have yet to get gold sadly, but I almost did in the big big run. 6 away from it to be specific) also hard agree on for players to use their specials. I used to be one of the peeps who try to save for the third round but realized if we can at least get to the third round in the first place, we won't get any pay cuts from losing. Edit: I would like to happily announce I finally got gold after the latest big run (before the grand fest)

After staying up late to obtain all 999 badges, my tips are paint the floors and walls as much as possible, be evasive as possible, get rid of Flyfish and Stinger you will have a hard time later since more will arrive, when dealing with Big Shots have someone stay by the basket or your eggs will be taken away and lure as much as you can, last tip, USE YOUR SPECIALS

i personally hope that in splatoon 4, we get to fight the Salmonids in Story Mode instead of the Octarians, and they have these mad max ass car levels and scrap superweapon bossfights. imagine going crab tank and blowing through a convoy only to be engaged by a rusty, scrap-armored tiger or kv LMAO and of course the world end bosses are super-powered up salmonids, whether that be upgraded King Salmonids, boss versions of regular boss salmonids, oooor just straight up Mirny-13 bosses
for reaaaal. We've been fighting the same octarians for 3 games in a row but the salmonids have so much to be explored. I'd love too see their hometowns and stuff

Splatoon 3 was the first time i've played splatoon since the short open beta on the Wii U for Splatoon 1... I played like 300 hours, half of that was Salmond Run.. It's the most chaotic, scary, fun, and intense "zombies" game mode i've ever played in my life. Still blows my mind how NO FPS GAME on console has even tried to replicate Splatoons aim mechanics. It's literally the best feeling shooter game i've ever played in a console because of the Stick + Gyro aim.
8:31 "they die in one hit" but I cannot tell you how many times I've been splatted by a smallfry who's been hit but is somehow still alive but covered in my ink so I didn't see it coming.
at around 6.7k shifts with multiple 200+ egg scores (im not an overfisher i swear) with most if not all on the salmon run weapon damage numbers commited to memory, this was a fun watch, and i think pretty comprehensive for the basic stuff too! i dont agree with all the takes, but as said, good basic overview (freelancers arent actually that bad i swear its just a general lack of teamwork)
